    Inventory question

    Hi, I just started playing and the game seems like a lot of fun except for the extreme lags I have when there are a few buildings. But to be honest I'm fighting more with the controls than zombies. So I'm in a building and theres a flashlight in a bunch of stuff on the floor so I think "that could be useful" so I try to pick it up. But then my weapon and all ammo are gone from my inventory and I cant get them back because they are not lying around anywhere anymore. Why is that? Wasnt much fun so far..
