Hi there, I've been playing DayZ for a couple of hundred hours, and I've always seen people trying to get the M4A1 or Mosin. I'm wondering if anyone uses a different weapon as their primary. Personally, I don't have a favourite, I just pick up what my squad needs e.g. we don't have a sniper so I pick up the Mosin. An irrational side of me really wants to use the sporter 22, as it's quiet and you can spam the trigger as the recoil is so small. So yeah, enough of my thoughts, what's your favourite?

It all depends on how the zombies were fought. If there was an international response there, we could feasibly see uniforms and equipment from armed forces all over the world. EDIT: Basically justifying my want for British gear in the game, for no reason at all B)

Magazines not being in the guns or near the guns. I can understand someone taking the magazine out for safety or something, but to have the gun and no magazine in sight is bs. Magazines should more often than not, spawn in the gun or in the near vicinity. Magazines for a civilian .22 calibre weapon should not spawn in military locations. They should be in houses, with the guns.

It seems to actually be alright for me, I've killed many people with the shotgun. However, clothes do affect how much damage a player takes. I've taken a blaze unloaded on me at point blank range in the chest, but because I had an assault vest with ammo cases in it, I didn't even end up bleeding.

Digressing a bit, I think what annoys me is that people assume that loot will be just like a normal area. If the army was called in to stop zombies, don't you think these rare items would suddenly become more common due to a massive influx of troops and support staff? -
Well, due to a new development team and a f*ck ton of backing money, I'd expect results.

Going away from Italy's military failures, I think armoured vehicles would be okay as long as they were a bitch to maintain/repair. Improvised armoured vehicles like bulldozers with steel bolted on would be amazing! Even just vehicle crafting would be amazing!

I think people are annoyed with the amount of money they now have, yet the development speed is the same.

Yeah it's easy to survive, same as it would be in real life if there was a large military intervention, bringing weapons and supplies. The part that makes it hard to survive is the human aspect and whilst zeds should be made harder to overcome, it will always be players that will be the problem. -
Hi there, I haven't sniped before but now I've started and wondered how to lead my shots. I was shooting at someone running across me from 50 metres away and I just couldn't hit him. How do I successfully lead the shot? Thanks in advance :beans:

Yeah I enjoy overwatch, but I don't get much chance at it. We're a very mobile squad, running and looting. When we go to the airfield I provide over watch, but we usually go on low population servers for that, so I've never actually been in combat that was further than 50 metres. I like to think myself as a designated marksman. The mosin should be better than the blaze for that, surely?

Yeah I regret shooting this guy at the NWAF. It's a dangerous place, and I was being very cautious/paranoid so I just lit this guy up, he wasn't a threat or anything. Sure, he had a gun, but is that really a reason to shoot someone on sight? In my opinion no, and it's the only kill I regret, the rest of them being fired on first defend kills. -
Is there actually any point using a mosin in my situation (running around with mates) or should I get something like the Blaze?

You'll be running at pretty low settings, but you'll probably be able to run it Probably at medium actually, I got medium when running a near identical rig

Nope, you won't run at 25 fps in cities on high. More like medium settings. I had a 7870 (very similar card) and ran at around 25-30fps in cities with settings around medium. Some settings were high, some low or even turned off. You'll need a 7950 or the new R series equivalent to do what you want.

So does the press vest protect more than any other vest? Sorry if this has been answered, I couldn't get a clear answer from your videos (might just be me being stupid!)
