Yes you will have all your stuff and be in same location as you were on server 1. The only thing that stops this is if you play on a private server that is not connected to the DayZ hive. Any progress made on a private server will not be carried over to official DayZ servers. If your asking if you can have 2 characters, the answer is no.

Upgrade your hardware maybe? Using another software program to try and get better performance is just clogging your system down by using even more resources that could be better used by your own system.

Sorry, not getting any sympathy here. You should have done more research on your "new pc" and quite frankly this sounds like a poor attempt by some hacker that got his cd key banned looking to score another copy for free. If you happen to be on the up and up and honestly asking, let me give you a wee bit of advice. Never beg. Just wait till next pay day. I would actually wait for news of what the next stage of developement will and plan appropriately.

do you need to buy dayz when released?
HooDoo (DayZ) replied to anton364@hotmail.nl's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
Yes you will have to buy DayZ when it launches. It will be a stand alone game and not a mod of a game unless Rocket changes his mind. How much it will be is anyones guess. -
Does anyone have an extra copy. (More info inside.)
HooDoo (DayZ) replied to Squid_Attack's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
Not to mention how do we know his other copy hasn't had its cd key banned from DayZ serveres from hacking? -
Yeah, I would love a feature to at least warn when your bag is being opened. Not sure if it can be added to the Dayz mod or if that is something that the Arma 2 folks would have to do. Either way it would be a nice addition.

Worth picking up ARMA 2: Combined Operations for this?
HooDoo (DayZ) replied to Fryseboks's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
In my opinion its worth it. Your opinion may differ. But please, if you do buy it to play this mod, dont come back here throwing a tantrum saying it sucks and you deserve/ want/ need your money back/refund what ever else you want to call it. Your buying Arma 2 and Arma 2:Operation Arrowhead. Not DayZ. DayZ is a free mod in testing and may be ported over to Arma 3 or go stand alone before long. No one but the devs know if and when this will happen. So chances are if you buy Arma2 now you will be buying something more in the near future to continue testing or begin playing should it go to release. Yes.. I robbed my post from the other thread I answered this question in.. Too lazy to rewrite. :P -

Playing with friends = good for the community?
HooDoo (DayZ) replied to bad_mojo (DayZ)'s topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
The game already has a mechanic making it difficult to group with other people I know out of game. EVERYONE spawns in at a different spot. We all have to get together somewhere before we start our group activities. Even if we use out of game comunication, there is no way that can be an advantage over any other single player. Your own example above is another such mechanic already in place.. "When that "coop fun time" happens and people have a lot of fun doing it. but then, DayZ creeps in and for example, a zombie breaks your legs and you die and have to walk for an hour to meet up with your group." As far as third party comms go, that really isn't much of an advantage when the group is separated over distances. Sure you can say "Oh, I spawned in Electro" "Cool, head for Stary and we'll meet you there." That's an advantage? The player still has to make his way across a distance to get back to his group. Besides any group that forms a "team", in real life or in a video game, has some form of communication be it some form comms, phones, or hand signals. Either way they will be silent. You also stated.. "Another thing to consider is that groups of friends with ties outside the game have already established a "team". People not part of their "team" will have a harder time gaining their trust. I'm sure a good number of groups will just kill anyone not on their chat server." Your probably right but then again if you make it even harder for out of game friends to get together to group up through yet another game mechanic, can you blame them? This is supposed to be about survival. Trust is not supposed to be given out freely. In short, No, I do not think there should be yet more mechanics to make it difficult to group up with people I know from outside of game. To me, thats just rediculous. -
hmm.. does it work even though it has been removed from the game? On the official servers I mean.
