I have seen many threads about this however mine is slightly different. After the update I cannot get onto dayz. The grey box appears saying "Preparing to launch" and then it disappears after a second. It then reappears and disappears constantly.I have left it for a while and i've tried disabling firewall etc but nothing works. I even redownloaded dayz to see what that would do. Please help:P thanks

I am not a morphine addict myself nor do I have advanced knowledge of morphine. In my English lesson today we read To Kill a Mockingbird. Mrs Dubose is a morphine addict. She suffers severe pain as she endures longer off morphine every day. In dayz morphine should have some kind of side effect. I say this because people go into a gunfight, break their legs, take morphine (or a splint) and walk away like nothing happened. If you use morphine you should want morphine. You start to become addicted. Your character slows down until they get morphine. This will make the game harder to survive. People would kill for morphine. People won't kill in the first place in the risk of becoming addicted to morphine when healing. It makes people think more about their actions. Many people will think "why not use a splint instead?" Well splints should be temporary. If your leg is broken and you use a splint you do the new limp animation until you find morphine or after a certain amount of time and rest the leg heals.

Subscribed! hahaha, what an "elite" bunch of players!

It is only alpha atm. Once they've finished with the game more or less they will start making tweaks to the menu.

Then you could just wear blue cargo pants? Or Jeans.. Not trying to hate on the overalls, just saying.

Do you want pvp bases food/drink and vehicles? Play arma III wasteland. -
If the world went to shit and a zombie apocalypse broke out the community would probably try to create some kind of safe zone. These safe zones don't spawn zombies in and only have food and medical spawns in and will either be bandit controlled or hero controlled. Pvp will not be turned off inside here. In the centre there could be a radio tower which works which will allow the user to broadcast a message out to walkie talkies on a certain frequency. This will be used to let people know heroes are there or bandits could use it to bait people there. Heroes can go there and take in people, give them shelter, heal them up and generally help them out. Bandits can go there and spray down the heroes who try to achieve a safe zone. It will give the game some purpose as they're may be huge hero v bandit battles (v v far fetched but its a game) to see who can control this area and it will allow more interaction between players and maybe future role play purposes. It may end up as a massive bloodbath arena but its just a suggestion:)

Why does the name of a server matter? -
I was patrolling around krasnostav when I heard a voice, after realising nobody was around me I found it was coming from my walkie talkie. This guy was going round random channels and asking for help. He was pinned down in the west camo building on the NEAF by 3 guys. Me being the hero decided to step up to this challenge. I made my way up and pulled out my trusty mosin. I saw one guy straight away behind the barn and took him out with a clean headshot. I ran around the western treeline and saw another guy prone in a bush. (He removed his backpack to blend in but went prone right next to it *facepalm*). Took a shot at him, hit. Crazy m4 guy charges at me from the garage but misses most shots, I miss my next shots, reload and then finish him off. The guy in the bush then wakes up and shoots at me, breaking my leg. I then finish the fucker off. (I know now to always double tap). Luckily I had a splint on me, so after applying that I move on through to the camo. Before I enter I say i'm the guy from the walkie talkie. He acknowledges me, I enter and *Bang*. I'm dead.

what gives you most satisfaction?
billymckendrick replied to Shrub Rocketeer ™'s topic in General Discussion
Helping out other players, however getting a headshot from 300+ metres is also very satisfying. -
