You are still feeding the ducks just drop it. And i am talking about adjusting a sight by preliminary firing. IE putting a scope on a gun does not mean it will shoot straight it may shoot far left or right and needs to be adjusted. So you can't just slap a LRS on a rifle and have it shoot straight it needs to be test fired and adjusted to shoot straight. Otherwise known as sighting.

ON TOPIC and stop feeding the ducks. This is a discussion about sniping not PC specs please focus on that. Now as per the topic, the current problem I see with sniping is that it is to easy. Anyone can pick up a rifle and get a 600m shot. I think if they added factors such as wind or having to zero your sights (because putting a scope on a rifle does not make it shoot where the crosshair is) would help balance it out a bit.

Thats what a true sniper has. Patience. In a dog eat dog world such as an apocalypse, you should always expect someone to be trying to off you. Even if you have nothing on you, you are just a potential future threat and it is better to eliminate you now then to regret it later. I sniper in real life will wait up to 16 hours in the same spot without moving to get his target. And a smart person would keep an eagle eye on a hot zone to pick off anyone and scavenge their remains. This is survival game and you can't trust anybody to be friendly same as the real world. A person who would live through stuff like this would avoid big cities and people hot zones to survive.

Stop whining then and go play Hardcore. Sniping is a sniper's strategy. It is something to always worry about just like people camping around a corner. You shouldn't whine just because you didn't check your corner or scout the surrounding area. If you die by a sniper or a camper, you deserve it. This is how it occurs in real life as well you don't check, you don't listen, you don't look, you are going to die. Stop whining about it and take your time when entering a city or building and avoid staying on a main road.

My green Beret saved me. Was shot by a mosin and I was KO'd. Woke up, retreated and noticed the only thing damaged was my Beret (Which became ruined) I was still Fairly black and white though. Also I ALWAYS CARRY A BIBLE IN MY SHIRT. I have been shot 6 times with an M4 in the chest and managed to drop the guy with the bible being ruined and my hoodie being damaged, I have been shot twice with the blaze at point blank with the bible in my shirt and I only got KO'd (other guy died cause we were shooting at each other), and I have been unloaded with a mag from a FNX and a couple sks shots in the chests with me holding a bible to walk away from it. IDK if the bible does anything but it is certainly my good luck charm and I will always continue to keep a pristine one in my jacket.

What's the current hacking status like in DayZ:SA?
ForceRecon (DayZ) replied to RadikulRAM's topic in General Discussion
I think you guys need to go play nether for a bit and then talk about the frequency of hackers on dayz. Comparing the two, I rarely encounter a hacker in dayz compared to the 6-7 per server on nether. You guys don't know how lucky you are and how much worse it could be. -
Meh I Play in FPP in both modes anyway. Just doesn't feel right without seeing my gun in my hands. But I like the interaction in Hardcore servers as there is a lot more friendlies in HC IMHO.
-
Always Have in this game compared to Nether. This game has so much more interaction with players. And also, the best servers to loot on are full populations because the server hoppers don't bother going on high pops and most people are in the NE.

Lawl. My Regular Character is fully geared and I am very scared to die with him. So I play very cautiously with him and avoid most places. But the great thing about this game is you can have TWO characters. I play my Hardcore character without worry about dying because I have nothing to lose. So if you wanna play but not lose your built character... go play hardcore without a worry in the world.

Arma 3 servers using illegal DayZ SA items
ForceRecon (DayZ) replied to SFRGaming's topic in Gallery
I just want you all to know that Treyarch Sued Infinity Ward for using their shotgun model from World at War in Modern Warfare 2. Then I believe Treyarch took something of theirs and Infinity Ward Sued them. They both work under Activision on the SAME FRANCHISE. Its like Coke Zero suing Coca Cola... it makes no sense but it is what it is. So I believe anything custom made for DayZ cannot be added to ARMA III and vice versa without permission. -

So... you can handcuff each other
ForceRecon (DayZ) replied to ForceRecon (DayZ)'s topic in General Discussion
Nope. Just lots of yelling at each other and praying another player doesn't come up. -
Yeah I handcuffed my friend and he I with pristine handcuffs in the middle of electro...

Yes they were banned because it was considered torture as people died slowly. The same debate is being brought up about .50 cals and other high caliber rifles that can blow limbs off. And flamethrowers are still the best method for clearing out bunkers and trenches on foot even with our new explosives. The reason, a projected flame is not a solid object. It forms to the item around it. When there is a little slit in a cement bunker it would be hard to shoot a target in there and almost any handheld launcher (Javelin excluded) would have a hard time penetrating it. A flame would go through it with ease. Flame also curves around corners. We also used flame to burn forest and paths down to corner and trap an enemy or form a wall of protection. Fire is truly a powerful weapon and should be implemented as a flamethrower. Plus, seeing as how it is an apocalypse, a flamethrower can be built from parts around a house and other building. It would be another improvised weapon. Hell it could use those propane tanks (although you wouldn't get much use out of those small things; it would balance it.)
-
What the hell do you mean? It still has a use in modern warfare. It was just banned by the Geneva Convention. That's why we created the M-202 to replace it as our incendiary weapon. Fire is an essential part of warfare and always will be. Also seeing as how the zombies in this game aren't dead but more like the ones from 28 days later, then yes fire would be extremely effective as it burns the sense of one which would render its motor skills obsolete. Fire is and always will be a deadly weapon to anything and everything.

Hehe nailed it on the dot on what my father was. And throwing knives are a great worthwhile skill to learn seeing as how they are retrievable and you can throw with much more ease then pulling a bow string back. There is a reason the Qin Dynasty used throwing knives more than bows for its existence.
