I just went through the "path of the warrior" and passed at least 75-80% of the spawn locations for the helos and not a single one so I either got very unlucky or they are not spawning
-
Now that nades will be added I have some suggestions: 1. Make it so we can Kamikaze ourselves. Imagine group of bandits come to handcuff you etc. Before they do you pull the pin...while they stand around force feedin you fruit and crap the nade goes off and kills everyone uget the last laugh! Alternatively in a bandit hold up situation you could offer o leave your pack on the ground for them and then leave the area. While the bandit rummages through the pack it explodes killing them Finally in in dire fire fights/KOS whore. Trigger it to blow you and ALL your gear to kingdom come go out with pride knowing the KOS guys get nothing. For the above to work you would need to be able to detonate nades without removing them from your pack (just like how we load ammo into clips) 2. Fishing. Throw nade into pond and watch them all float belly up! 3. Ruined nades should be duds and not explode. Use ruined nades to bluff/threaten others.

no idea I checked everywhere nothing....Cannot find any heli crashes either I think the rumors are true that they are not spawning in .46
-
I just in one run checked EVERY millitary base on an sever which restarted and was empty up until I hit Balota (started in NWAF and worked my way down) Not a single nade....no idea where people are finding them aside from dupers

Found an MP5K at NEAF on a 40/40 server, giving it away! :p

Also they do not spawn at NEAF -
Why you don't need to server hop to get geared.. ever.
trev186 replied to Irish.'s topic in General Discussion
Fix the loot respawn issue on the servers which has been broken since day one All these complicated ideas about how to stop hoppers are going to take more time and effort to implement than the above....also if loot respawns as it was intended it is unlikely most will continue to server hop. All you have to do is make the time limit before server changes greater than the time it takes for loot to respawn (but this BS that I get the timer after being on a server for 4 hours needs to stop) -
you can get out. I have been stuck at least 10 times and have always escaped. Try the following: 1. Push V around furniture or windows on the building 2. Start to vault and then log out and log back in 3. When the server is loading and u cannot see urself sometime u can move...during that time run and you will llikely run through the wall 4. Lay down and roll

Why you don't need to server hop to get geared.. ever.
trev186 replied to Irish.'s topic in General Discussion
I get that server hopping is a problem but I still beliieve when loot respawns properly it will be much less of an issue...so having loot whenever someone logs into the area just seems like an out of place solution...first get loot respawns working properly THEN see what the hoppers are like -
Why you don't need to server hop to get geared.. ever.
trev186 replied to Irish.'s topic in General Discussion
I agree. Gear is always left behind...like right now police stations and barracks are the targets of hoppers... Also larger full servers generally have 0 hoppers cause they want empty servers for safety...The NWAF is more dangerous with 3-5 online then 40. I have on several occasions stalked 2-3 players at NWAF out of 5 total online. You can even tell just by how long they stay on normally. I would say low pop servers at night you have a 75-80% chance that all players are in a military area. Factor in whatr is new in the patch...AKM, High Cap vest, MP5-Ks and you can narrow down what they will focus on. I like to run routes from NWAF-Vybor base-Starry-Gorka-Kranstov (by NEAF but never NEAF)-Svelto and back myself. I feel i avoid the pvp areas on high pop servers and i have a chance to find some good gear. When approaching previously looted areas you just have to ask what you are there for. MP5K, High Cap vest, AKM? Then if the barracks are looted I gurantee you those items are likely not there, but other gear most likely left behind. Tents are always great cause people miss a lot of things in them. -
This is a game with perma death...that alone removes most balance issues. Sure a player may be armed to the teeth but he can be out numbered and killed and then he is back to square one yes people will likely stop playing and when they do they will tell others of their negative exp and persuade others to not purchase the game I agree with point 3 but you are on here talking like we are all going to be limited to residential gear and the military loot will be in the hands of only a few...which I feel is lame. A minority of the items (not just military) should have this restriction & they should not be game breaking.
-
in regards to NVGs people just gamma up...vast majority do and they have stated they cannot fix this... If it is only a few weapons then I am cool with this ultra rare thing. But the poster I was replying to was hoping that the majority of military loot would face this restriction and that was what I was disagreeing with. Not saying I want every damn item in the game and not sad. I am a person interested in this games success and am providing my opinion. As far as helis and cars. The harder the better. I play lone wolf and having clans and squads roll in with helos and hummers out of no where and running me down feels like really lame game play that does not reward stealth
-
could care less about vehicles globally restrict the hell out of em i feel Dayz has no place for em personally...
-
Not one said it entitles you to a rare weapon...the issue is at hand why the hell is an M4 or AKM considered rare in an area taken over by martial law by the military? one would think you could find these items....more often than 500 out of a million.... People catch word on how the basics of a game works after playing it awhile. It is at that point they will decide if they want to play or not. I guarantee you 90% of the players with more than 20 hours of game play know how the majority of the loot spawns...cause if they do not go outside the same players in the game will tell them just like one did to me when i first started 100/1000000 % chance means very few players will ever experience such excitement...so over a 10 year cycle maybe a couple hundred players ever enjoy said game play experience never mentioned anything about server hopping and could care less about that.
-
The original game had plenty of military loot to no one was complaining about it then...nor calling it a COD clone. maybe they just do not like flashbangs? were they bitching about MP5-Ks being added as well ? Context is everything The question you have to ask is the people posting on reddit (horrible platform imo) really representative of the millions who purchased the game?
-
Having to read forums & watch you tube vidoes just go get an M4 is pretty stupid and rules out the majority of players....the game should not be dependent on outside media. These globally restricted items should be flair crap not normal stuff that would not really be rare...making an AKM//M4 limited to 500 people in a game purchase by millions just means the majority will say F this shit I am not going to go scower you tube for a guy with an M4 and hope he reveals his server and then go try and hunt him down on an enormous map in a game where you have no idea who is who and just kill everyone you come across in hopes of an M4... What the average player will do is say screw it ill go play a different game in the same genre. This will reduce the amount of players who play the game down to the die hard players and clans who have taken the effort to acquire said loot.

Why you don't need to server hop to get geared.. ever.
trev186 replied to Irish.'s topic in General Discussion
I think they should make fixing the loot respawn without a server restart top priority.... 90% of server hopping will go away. People would rather just camp a certain area and check the loot ever 15 mins or so... -
If that happens with how rare an M4 is we will all continually starve to death....only 3 heli spawns per server and no guarantees they spawn an M4...also they evidently did something with police cars so helis share that spawn with them and now sometimes helis do not even spawn! aside from having fun with your analogy (which I get the argument) Even then it is actually quite easy to just live off berries and apples...I have no plans of packing around equipment to cook meat i will just scavenge the wildlife...less they nerf that too.... I do not think we need a currency I think we just need a better way outside of the forums to post about potential trades....like say a board we can post on in game to arrange meetings with people for trades...i dunno
-
Food takes up too much space i would rather trade gear I know others will value...also food is WAY too common vs gear... I trade a lot most people are only going to trade for rare/hard to find items. Probably 10% of the gear in dayz is valuable enough to players to trade for it. Food is not one of them and you will just find that tons of people will have all the food in the world but only 3-4 people on the server will have an AKM for trade... The guy trading the AKM is going to want something like an MP5-K not 4 cans of beans....it is just as hard to find someone with the item you want who is willing to part with it as the item itself sometimes.

I am afraid this global restiction of loot is going the way WOW did at the end of Burning Crusade with Sunwell.. Anyone who played WOW in Vanilla/BC will remember that the most difficult raids were only mastered by like 5% of the player base. Blizzard would develop all this content and only a fraction of the players could enjoy it... The reason it became increasingly more and more difficult culminating in The Sunwell was because They had the mentality that they had to make it challenging to the best guilds....These were guilds who like mine would do everything they could to get even the smallest increase in DPS/Defense/healing. For example most people in Wow would have a profession like Skinning to gather resources to support their second profession Leatherworking. Leatherworking provided massive DPS benefits and access to gear you could only use as a Leatherworker...meanwhile Skinning did nothing for DPS... So once I no longer needed skinning I dropped it and mastered another profession which also increased my DPS..jewel crafting. I would then buy all the supplies I needed to support the two professions through an auction house cause I had no way of gathering for either. This was time consuming and expensive and your average player would not take the time to do it so their DPS would be far lower than mine.... Ultimately when they would enter the top tier raids they could barely survive the trash mobs leading to the bosses let alone the bosses themselves. So now with making loot impossibly rare what will happen is people will play dayz and be able to find shotguns, crossbows, blaze, etc which will be cool. Then in casual play they will try and search for better gear BUT unfortunately the more die hard players will naturally monopolize this gear cause they will either server hop to get it or form clans/alliances to acquire them. The only option for the average player to get this gear will then be to kill these armed to the teeth players....which likely means the gear will be ruined & the average player will be disadvantaged in the engagement. I am cool with say helicopter parts and vehicle parts being rare makes sense to me and honestly feel we can travel fast enough that we do not need those....but basic things like guns being restricted globally is trash...I mean sure maybe three NVG spawn per server or whatever that is fine but having 100 of an item split among millions is lame.
-
Does not make sense nor do a lot of players want that...Instead of making stuff rare why not fixing spawns to make more sense? Police stations should spawn only loot policemen would use (not Mousins, SKS, old shotguns etc) Military bases should spawn only military loot no SKS, Mousin, Blaze, etc I do not see what the problem is with gearing up...why people hate this? Not everyone wants to run around dressed like farmer Joe...and without server hopping it is actually quite a challenge to get a fully geared all military setup with all equipment in pristine shape. Rather than make it rare make it Harder. Swarm the bases with zombies like hundreds.
-
yes they fit in ur bags
-
try using it in place of your pistol not ur AKM or even better for those who roll Mousin/Blaze for when they are in close quarters
-
Can someone explain why the hell I keep spawning as an Asian woman?
