i give my gear to my friends if i dont trade it...very little goes to waste. Why should we let other players have better gear to kill us with? What are the odds if you saw me geared to the nines leaving vybor mil base and u found a pris akm with 75 round drum mag that u would not promptly pick it up and kill me with it?

People are overlooking that no camp is safe.. I had a friend who came back one day to find the while thing was stolen. So u risk losing ur gear either way.. It depends on how you manage that risk. I prefer to only go on loot runs or drive trucks with minimal gear. I keep a looter set and take a gun I don't mind losing. This way if I do die I can get my gear back. Nothing wrong with this cause I could come back to find my tent ransacked. This has allowed me to enjoy pvp more. If other players want to have the lose it all mentality then by all means...but this allows me to play in more roles. TTo each their own is what a discourse on hoarding comes down to... Though it sounds like many would like there to be 0 storing of gear. Though from my understanding you can expect more and more as time moves on.

Now I know the improvised suppressor does not even silence the mosin. ..but you cannot put an improvised suppressor on over a compensator which seems silly. This probably relates to how you cannot do the bayonet and compensator together but that makes sense. I am positive I can duck tape a water bottle to the end of a mosin regardless if it has a compensator or not.

If I die during the week I can regear at my tent. I can also trade it away for stuff I have not found and could take me hours of searching. I found 9 m4s this week I traded them all away for crap I could of spent hours searching for.. This allowed me to play the game the way I want with the gear I prefer as opposed to searching high and low for it.

I think they should only remove that if they make it such that certain backpacks allow you to strap two items on the side. I also believe you should be allowed to opt to carry two guns as opposed to 1 melee and 1 gun. A backpack plus some rope and any half wit can come up with a decent enough way to tie the items to the pack.

honestly have not had to use suppressors or compensators in my hunting growing up so I guess I am. not exactly gun attachments we used to hunt deer or birds. I can tell you a lot about shotgun chokes.... Even if it does not make sense to do it....you still could jam that water bottle over the compensator model of the mosin in game...it is no wider than the actual barrel.

Not moving a compensator Talking about the suppressor.... I know u can't move the compensator But a water bottle has space.. Currently the water bottle protruded most the way off the tip.. Just tape it on an inch or two lower below the suppressor

Duck tape it over the barrel with the compensator further in. It does not have to be taped to the compensator. Your just sticking a bottle on the end of the gun. As for how it affects the compensator I am not sure in real life since in dayz the compensator gives a very unrealistic increase in accuracy vs what one should do. I am sure I could tape a water bottle to the end of a gun with or without a compensator though.

I know nothing can be done by devs and I leave this to private shards/ honor system on those shards to implement rules which punish those who do.

Hi So I tested my pristine hunting knife I found last night. I killed at least 10 animals... Of which only 5 did not magically vanish upon death. I skinned all 5 and never did my knife lose durability. I want to test more but with how buggy animals are it is time consuming. I am hoping that the hunting knife is like the can opener in that it does not degrade with use for it's specified function. Anyone have conflicting evidence? This is only when skinning animals. I am aware using the knife for chopping bushes and opening cans will degrade it rather quickly
