I don't mind them marking the zombies harder; it just seemed stupid that they seemed so hard to kill. I just need to learn how to use the axe properly I guess (I'm a bit of a noob)

I feel as though my DayZ experience with dayz has been slightly ruined by the latest patch. For me i cannot kill a zombie without getting hit at least once and it takes at least 6 hits with the fire axe before I can get a clean shot on its head. So when there are several zombies I leave bleeding and with my equipment damaged. Another problem is zombies seem to hit me even if they are several steps away or facing the opposite direction. The only way I can efficiently counter this is by shooting them. This is a weast of ammo considering the number of zonbies; it Is difficult for fresh spawns Who don't have Guns or sufficient ammo and it also attracts even more zombies. This whole problem ended in my SKS ammo to be ruined , my arm broken and bleeding with all my bandages ruined. Then to top it off a zombie hit me on my back and everything in my backpack went from pristine /worn to damaged. Any help on how to stop my misery?
