You are probably missing them. They are hard to spot sometimes and I have often found them by accident by running with inventory open.

What I would find better is having the option to dye all clothing/backpacks ect. Even being able to use green or black spraypaint to get rid of that bright orange on a mountain backpack would be nice.

Ok, So I am surprised this has not been sorted and as far as I am aware it has not even been mentioned yet. When ever you are facing a player, zombie or whatever else any sound made by them is not heard or becomes very quiet. So if a player is shooting at you in the distance from the direction you are facing you will probably not hear it. This is probably the reason people keep dying and having no idea how it happened. I believe it was the same in the mod. You could hear a helicopter or a car but when you looked in that direction it goes quite.

Oh, I see. Makes sense. Seems like everytime they change or fix something another problem arises.

Since the 0.49 update desync has become much more common. I can often check the player list in game and every other person has desync. I can be in the middle off a firefight then suddenly players and zombies disappear. I also put this down to why I rarely come into contact with people on high pop servers like I used to. Has nobody else noticed this?

Seen a few rats running through my garden the other day so I set up some traps. Obviously I immediately thought about DayZ. It would be nice being able to set up traps in DayZ both for trapping animals and people. You could set up traps that capture your prey dead or alive like spring snares, deadfall traps, bow traps, net traps ect ect. I think I heard about traps/tunnels being implemented at a later date or a possibility anyway. Here's a few pictures to give you an Idea. Even if only for animals it would be great. If you could trap other players it will defiantly put some pressure on snipers :D Tunnels would be brilliant also. I'm curious, what does the DayZ community think about this?

An update! Was messing around at the airstrip again when I heared someone downstairs. I ran into the room with bunkbeds and closed the door and crouched in the corner waiting for him to open. 30-50 secs later he appeared out of nowhere and shot me pointblank in the head. I am starting to think that a lot, if not most of these random deaths are due to desync. Maybe these ghost zombies are freshspawns with bad connection. lol To top this off I would imagine that this is easy to do intentionally for cheating.

TBH I had this before the patch but rarely got it since. Maybe I'm just getting lucky?

I had a standoff in the same building a few days ago. Someone shot at me from the window as I approched the airstrip. I entered the same way I did here. Crouching under the stairs I could hear his stomach grumble and then shortly after someone eating. I ran up there and beat him to death with a hoe. 10 secs later I was fully geared up. :D

Had no rags or bandages. Could not loot there bodys due to desync. Could not do anything except move and fire my weapon. Tried changing to my revolver after I killed them but is was un responsive. Not sure how the fella that killed me saw me, maybe I was still downstairs to him? Oh, I relised comunication was stuck on so I turned it off. Unless you mean why can't you hear me? Thats because I forgot to change settings to record microphone.

Had this happen about 2 hours ago. This is obviously a major problem that needs looking into. I walked right infront of 4 players without me being visible due to what I assume was the fault of desync. I should have been in there line of sight for 50 seconds however to them I was still downstairs. At 2:00 in I try to put my mosin on my back but it keeps taking out my other weapons so I guess I started to get desync here. At 2:35 I go up the stairs and put my hands up. They obviously still saw me being downstaiirs as you can hear them say. At 3:12 still not visible to them my mosin came of my back and into my hands without me doing anything, also the 4 other players moved. At the same time the red conection symbol appeared so I turned around thinking that they could see me now but they still could not.
