  1. Or do you predict it will remain mostly a PvP-fest with a splash of beans and zombies on the side? While I'm enjoying the PvP portion now, I could enjoy that in a myriad of other games. It would be nice if DayZ somehow got back to the zombie survival feeling. It will be interesting to see how the game develops in the various patches.
  2. Arma 2 does suck. DayZ is a mod and would do much better with a better engine. I'm hoping they use Arma 3 eventually.
  3. Sad to see how many kids nowadays think that slaughtering people in real-life is normal. Such a sad job our parents and teachers are doing nowadays. I blame the left.
  4. Loot cycling is not the same as server hopping. Both are equally lame though.
  5. Being angry and out of control is an American thing. I wouldn't necessarily call it a "PvP thing."
  6. 1: Can you hold a gun properly? Yet alone shoot it? Yes 2: Are you realy that cold blooded? No (see #3 for my only reason) 3: What purpose do you have to shoot on sight? Defence of myself or my family
  7. I'd guess ~3% of the playerbase visit the forums.
  8. I'm not sure if I should kiss you, fondle you or just vigorously flick you with my tongue.
  9. I use my iPad. I've died alt-tabbing to my second monitor to reposition the map.
  10. I think 2 zombies should spawn within 10 feet of fully-geared people every 5 to 10 minutes.
  11. Sprint until you find a building with loot you want, disconnect to lose zombies, reconnect, loot, repeat.
  12. If I think they have gear upgrades for me, then I try to kill them.
  13. Hi guys. I lived through a disaster and now I'm a green beret of survival.
  14. What we have here are two groups of people in the thread: 1) Good, honest, normal people and what "they" think is normal and 2) Social psychopaths and what "they" think is normal
  15. I don't murder people. I guess I was raised differently.
  16. There just need to be some threats in the trees or something. It is too easy to remove yourself from zombie threat range and snipe from 800 range away. While the targets are still in zombie range (cities and towns) the assailant needs some threat as well. Is it too hard to have roaming packs of zombies out of town?
  17. Surviving in this game is easy. Get a decent pack, decent weapon, matches, knife, hatchet and you are pretty much good to go. I could probably survive indefinitely if that was my goal. Just stay away from major centers (stary/novy, airfields/barracks, cities, etc.) and hide in the bushes. Drink from ponds with a water bottle and eat meat from the animals. Anyway. Staying alive is easy. Feeling alive is a little bit more dangerous.
  18. Sometimes it is necessary. I logged out in the firehall tower. When I decided to play again, I had to hop around to about 10 servers until I found one that would let me out (darned barb-wire). Good news is I had a nice M14 AIM rifle when all was said and done. It was my first time with the weapon. Seemed to kill quite well. 2 murders :)
  19. Stand, sprint, speed loot, disconnect when zombies pose a threat. You'll be geared in no time. Stealth is for AFTER you get geared.
  20. Nobody is friendly because there is too much at stake to try to find out. In real-life there are morals, values and general thoughts of well-being for mankind. In the game there is none of that. Shoot first so you don't need to start back on the beach.
  21. So he's testing the game different than what we experience? This explains some things.
  22. Most people pick the same few places for camps on every server. There are only a few reliable hiding spots and people know about many of them now.
