  2. It was working this morning. I went for lunch and now all servers give this error.
  3. I'm getting this error now. Was working perfectly this morning. Is there any useful information on how to fix this in the 40 pages of this thread?
  4. I found one in a crashed heli. It was nightvision only. I carried it in my pack for awhile then dropped it on a cow I gutted. I won't pick another one again. Unless you do night banditry, I don't see much use for it.
  5. 1) Friendly Only becoming hostile in self defense or defense of my family. At that point I'd shoot to kill.
  6. Is there any way to make zombies more aggressive in their actual movement? I understand they like to hang around buildings. This makes the game extremely easy for campers/bandits. They [bandits] can just sit somewhere far from the pathing zombies and pick off survivors all day long. If a percentage the zombies were attracted to people, it would at least require some attention or paranoia on the part of the camper. I'm sure they'd easily dispatch of the pathing zombies but there would at least be some risk to the hill-campers. This creep towards players would be for all players of course not just bandits who remove themselves from all dangers in the game.
  7. Always nice to have a fan/stalker. Anyways... in many movies there tends to be some gravitation of zombies away from the buildings and out into the wild and eventually towards the people hiding out in their once peaceful areas. It doesn't directly nerf bandits. I don't think bandits need a nerf. I play as a bandit (mostly because that is what the game makes me). I do think it would add a little fear into the banditry though. No more could I sit at 600 range popping people with my DMR and never need to look over my shoulder.

    I haven't died to a zombie in a few weeks now. All my deaths are murders. I guess some haven't figured out zombies yet. Once they do, the amount of people still dying to them will drop fast.
  10. Your fault. I can loot every thing good in the market in 30 seconds or so. Of course I sprinted in with 10 zombies chasing so I need to be efficient :)

  12. It is unfortunate but this seems to be turning into one of the many "games" out there. It is starting to lose whatever made it special in the beginning. I could guess at what is wrong but it would just be a guess. Here's hoping Rocket can turn it around and recatch whatever vision the game had.
  13. Roflcoptorgaming They had a group of 5 or 6 guys. Geared with snipers, enfields and automatic weapons. Just camping a town and shooting all the fresh spawns. They called it "PvP" lol I'm going to go down to the local elementary school and beat the tar out of some kids there. Brb... I just need my daily PvP.
  14. Once they fix the disconnecting when under fire thing... then it will be pretty epic. Maybe having the body stay there for a minute or so after disconnect is all they need to do.

  16. I gear up very fast. This method is how I do it. Sprint, speed loot, sprint some more, speed loot. I've found the sneaking method results in me being in the 9k blood region by the time I get my weapons, pack, ammo and tools. With sprinting I'm almost always over 11k blood. At that point I usually slow down and move into stealth mode.

  18. @ACE is amazing and you can see the full potential of the Arma 2 engine with it. With the tracer fire you can also witness ricochets and all the ballistics. I don't know which weapons penetrate or which surfaces they penetrate.
  19. You can take out an infinite amount of zombies and never get hit with a hatchet. Pull them all into a building and swing from 6 feet away. The hatchet has amazing range that is well out of the melee range of the zeds.
  20. Just tossing out an idea. Feel free to pick it apart. The alignment would change the color of your shirt or an armband or some visual cue to other players. It would be picked at the start of a spawn much like the "male/female" option. It is just an idea that tries to get rid of the "internet anonymity" put on our actions and choices in the game. Many of our choices in the game don't take into consideration that not everyone would act this way during a zombie apocalypse. Believe it or not some people wouldn't shoot others on sight This change or one similar to it allows people to play the way they want but still have consequences for those choices. These consequences are internal or moral in nature. I don't pretend to know how these things would be balanced. In real-life we have freedom to choose. We don't have freedom on the consequences. ------- "GOOD" -- Advantage = Food and water consumption is less. Chance of illness is lower. Chance of being knocked unconscious by zeds is less. -- Drawback = Killing good players causes stress and guilt giving you that blurred vision effect when you are low on blood. This stress and guilt effect is removed over time much like a hunger or thirst meter. During this time you are considered [Evil] to other players. Killing evil players causes no ill effects. ------- "EVIL" -- Advantage = Can kill other survivors with no remorse and thereby suffering no ill effects from that action. -- Disadvantage = Increased need for food and water. Higher chance of illness. Chance of knocked unconscious from zeds is higher. PLEASE PICK THIS APART OR ADD A CHANGE OR A NEW IDEA. I don't think exposing Rocket to different ideas hurts anything. Sure he gets the final say but having 10 or 20 ideas placed before him will give him some different trains of thought to work with.
  21. It won't be liked by the bandits I suppose. Maybe we need to throw them a carrot somehow. How about a notch on the butt of their Lee Enfield for every fresh spawn they snipe?

  23. I don't find it really intense. I suppose it would be if you sneak around a lot. Try a much safer method... full out sprint. Go into buildings that have another exit, grab the first axe you see (they are everywhere maybe 3 or 4 buildings max), turn to the door and hack the zombie train from 6 or so feet away (yes the axe has range). You now have a weapon and a few cans of food and maybe even a hunting axe and watch. Now slow down if you want. I personally find the sprint works better even at this point. Snipers love slow-moving crouched targets. I die far less at a running pace than I did when going stealth mode. It is possible to fully gear up in Cherno then head north. This is when I personally slow down.
