Arma 2 does suck. DayZ is a mod and would do much better with a better engine. I'm hoping they use Arma 3 eventually.

I think 2 zombies should spawn within 10 feet of fully-geared people every 5 to 10 minutes.

Sprint until you find a building with loot you want, disconnect to lose zombies, reconnect, loot, repeat.
