  1. What happened to just going straight to 1.7.3? Also any script detection in the next update?

  3. Thanks for proving what I just said about fan boys ruining constructive criticism. Rockets an employee of Bohemia interactive right? Hex been told to work on this full time. Which means he's getting paid for it. If I didn't care about the game, I wouldn't be posting here would I? Yeah it's an alpha and this is our feedback. Go take your aspergers somewhere else.   4. Demnish, I agree with you 100%. What these other simpletons don't realize is that Rocket works for Bohemia interactive and made this game on company time. He gets PAID TO MAKE IT and is refusing help from anyone else. Te Arma engine is ad shitty as they come. But don't worry, there's going to be plenty of other major studios out there that will develop bigger and better clones to this, especially it this one takes so Long to develop. THR hacking is rampant, the fan boys defend every bit of CONSTRUCTIVE CRITICISM that people want to talk about and you there are more bugs than ever before! Please don't throw me the alpha bullshit when someone complains about death by a door or the other countless bugs that COULD HAVE BEEN FIXED after several months. The 'beta' patches are a joke, if you actually look at what they fix , it's fucking laughable. Rocket, get a better engine to work with buddy and a company that actually supports you. Peace out.
  5. I have my own server (40 player slot) we lose so many players because our server gets hacked about (no joke) five to six times a day. Usually by teleporting players and then killing them. Heck, even our chopper got teleported and destroyed (it took us 12 hours to get the parts and working) and when we did, bam! Who wants a to play a game where you have to spend countless hours putting work into only to be stripped down by hackers. This game NEEDS its own engine and a better anti-cheat system than battleye. Shit, BE could EVEN implement a feature that auto-kicks when a player moves a certain distance in a certain allotted time. So many things that can be fixed easily yet they choose to ignore...it makes me even more sad when this is the game everyone has wanted for so long and the Arma engine and BE are ruining it!!!! EDIT :BE needs to implement a system where it tracks player movements. If it sees a player has moved between two points too quickly - it should boot you from the game (this saves people being teleported and the teleporters themselves). Obviously this wouldn't count with vehicles and helis and such. All BE needs to do is look at the server log files and determine logical movements. Minecraft can do it - why not an Anti-cheat syste?
  6. I think many of us would agree that BattleEye just does not cut it as a anti-cheat system. I've seen it ban innocent players, continuous hacking and the failure to actually stay on top of any of the hacks that are being used. My server was hacked 5 times in a row with a full population server - the entire population was teleported to a location and mowed down with a helicopter. We managed to go through the logs and ban those responsible (pretty easy to see who it was with the scripts log) But the question is - why doesn't BattleEye seem to have implemented a feature that can detect this? Or report a anomaly in players location (e.g. moving great distances quickly, executing scripts). It doesn't seem to able to keep up with the rapid expansion of the game. Perhaps its time to move to another anti-cheat system that keeps up to date and seems to work. (Sorry, not the biggest fan of BattleEye - too many bad experiences) Also, a question - can Server owners globally ban players? Because I've heard reports of players that I have banned and that are now globally banned? Cheers guys :D
  7. Ryan, Please read my latest ticket. The issue is when the server was reset , all the config files were also reset (I had to reset them) and instance ID's were taken out - for example template = "dayz_.Chernarus"; //DO NOT EDIT THIS LINE. Should be: template = "dayz_821.Chernarus"; //DO NOT EDIT THIS LINE. Thats ALL that needs to happen to get these servers up and running.. Cheers.
  8. Friendly regular server, 40 slots, 3rd person, crosshair and tags enabled - GMT + 0 , so perfect for Australians wanting to play at night time!
