My first traumatizing experience with death (worth the read): I was a new spawn, with little experience in the hell I would soon be trekking through. Elektrozavodsk was the first sign I had seen for a while on this ghostly coastal road. The pale sun was setting through the solemn gray clouds on the horizon. My feet ached, my mouth thirsted. Water, water, everywhere, and not a drop to drink. It began to rain chilling icy droplets, and soon I was soaked to the bone. Little hope had I for ever reaching any sign of civilization. Soon though, I had reached the port city of Elektro. Within hours of searching, I had found ample provisions for a long walk inland. A Mosin Nagant was strung over my shoulder, a fireaxe in my hand. At dusk I was searching the second story of a main street house when I heard them. A pair of heavy footfalls, the sound of a person laden with supplies. I peered out the window and scoped out my situation. The lone survivor (me) was no longer alone. Should I wander out and meet him or take my chances and run? I chose the former and slowly walked out into the street with my gun bared. The sight was pointed directly at his heart, in case he made any fast movements. I called out to him in a stern voice, "I am a friendly, but I will not be so if you give me reason to harm you." He turned around quickly and faced me. He turned his hands toward the sky. "I am also friendly," he called out, "and I won't hurt you. Do you need any food?" What kind generosity he has... I walked over to him and lowered my gun. The man looked to be very well prepared, TTsKO pants, a mountain backpack, and he also had an MN91. He handed me a can of opened baked beans as a gesture of friendliness. I clasped the can and readily ate by putting it to my face and knocking it back. It was like in slow motion, he raised his gun faster than I've seen anyone do and before I could bring my head back down, shot the bullet through my throat. The beans I was eating flew out of the gaping hole that was now my neck. I instantly crumpled and grasped what was left of the front of my neck. In the last 3 seconds of my consciousness, he looked into my eyes and I saw into his soul. I forgave him.
