Charicter Feedback Brainstoming Thread
threedogification replied to Karmaterror's topic in Suggestions
If you guys play in 1pp a lot then you would realize that the char does shake when he's cold. I think its a great mechanic because it couples nicely with the HUGE AMOUNT OF "I AM PROMPTLY COOLING OFF" EVEN THOUGH I HAVE A DOWN COAT ON. -
Maybe if they separated the inventory and added this in, it would be a lot better
-
I love the bows too, and this is a great suggestion +1

I believe that when Bambi's spawn, they should receive some kind of low starter loot, albeit randomized. In an apocalypse, not everyone is going to wake up on a beach with a t-shirt and jeans and a flashlight. Maybe we could spawn with a black long sleeve shirt and yellow cargo pants, maybe with some other random stuff, say a can of food or a knife or something. This would give players a slightly more realistic spawning approach, from the standard that we have now.

That shotgun shell trap looks really awesome
-
Hold your breath by holding the aim button.
-
Exactly what I was thinking, good sir. Have everyone spawn with different random stuff so than not everyone looks the same when they spawn.
-
You have to remember that this is the same game team that made Arma 3, which is a great game
-
I don't really think It would affect performance at all, it would only be a lengthier download for 100 more high fidelity skins

Clothing Pockets (Separate the inventory slots!)
threedogification replied to jaggardos's topic in Suggestions
And we should also be able to flip things, because irl I could put a makarov in my pocket easily, even if it is a 4 slot weapon. The devs could also code the clothes and pockets so that only items in shot pockets would be damaged, because if I get shot in my left leg, the stuff in my right pocket wouldn't be ruined. Great idea though! -
Buckets wouldnt always be standing up outside, you could find it only inside factories, or laying on their side or upside down outside.
-
That's a really good idea, but irl VX kills if it even touches you, and can go through most gas masks
-
Introducing custom messages such as: "I'm real tired of these mothetfuckin zombies in my mothetfuckin city" And "Bandage me already, you dumb bastard"
-
Yessss, and we should be able to grab items like in Dead Island, where they reach their hand out and grab it.

In the act of mercilessly killing, a person tends to lose their mind. Stress and fear can add to this. Wow, stress, fear, and endless killing. Sounds like our favorite game, right? All of these are the perfect cooking pot for a new status effect: insanity. In the game, if you kill a certain amount of people in a certain amount of time, you will lost sanity. Perhaps 3 people a day, and you will lose a fair chunk of sanity. With losing sanity, the world should become darker, and the ambient noise should become more frightening. If someone mercilessly kills 10 people, their screen would look noir, and they would shake and even maybe cry. Although these are severe, it will go away, but not back to normal, only to the equal of 1 kill. Over time, it will add up until your character has completely lost his mind. To quickly regain sanity, one can retreat into the woods and stay there with no contact for an hour

Just imagine the amount of fish we could catch with the rudimentary fish trap

In the real world, if you're wearing a jacket or long sleeve shirt and you feel hot, you'll roll up the sleeves or unzip/unbutton it, right? Why can't we do that it dayz? If I have my TTsKO jacket and I start sweating, my char shouldn't have to suffer the heat and pain, I should be able to roll up the sleeves and unbutton it to cool off some. It wouldn't require a complete rework of the clothing, maybe just a right click inventory menu to roll the sleeves up. It also wouldn't take much to add rolled sleeves into the game, they would only have to cut the render off at the elbow and add in a rolled render.

Good idea but it's going to be snipped and moved to the other thread, which has the same idea. I totally agree, but you have to remember, they still haven't even fully finished the engine so this will be added later

Provided that we have stones in our fireplace, we should be able to craft bread and cook it if we have flour, water, yeast, and sugar. Bread is a staple in all diets, so why not in dayz?
-
Thanks for a speedy response. This would be an over time addition to be worked on, definitely not a priority. Cheers

different speed "modes" for our actions: from cautious/slow but silent to fast/hasty but noisy
threedogification replied to joe_mcentire's topic in Suggestions
I like this idea, it seems like it's from state of decay. If I was being chased by bandits, I would want to quickly reload instead of the slow reload that we have now -
I kinda feel that chernarus needs to be "blown up"
threedogification replied to 5mirkeh's topic in Suggestions
If I only saw 1 person per 5 hours of gameplay, I would cherish them and never kill unless they attack me -
If I could have a thin cut pork sandwich with lettuce and tomato in Dayz, I think I will have died and gone to heaven. The devs need to read these forums more

I hide my tents in places so obvious that people wouldn't think to look there, that's because people overthink and look in places where they think it would be

Imagine that you and your friend in survival just cooked a chicken and pepper goulash, with some bread. You sit near your fire beside your tent and chow down. Immersion, immersion, immersion.
