I'm in your TS channel now :)

Hi guys, I've got 175 hours played on SA but I've decided I want to make the switch over to the mod. I know all the new features will be a bit confusing for me so I'm looking for an experienced group who like PVP'ing to teach me how the game works etc. I'm a a good shot and a good listener, as well as being easy to get along with and have a laugh. I'm 17 and live in Ireland so similar age and timezone would be great too! I'm really desperate to find a group to play the mod with, so I'll leave my steam below if you wish to contact me. I also have skype/ts3 and a mic. Steam - LHurlz (if that doesn't work try LHurlzprettyboyswag)

Haha well thanks for the help, it's much appreciated from a mod noob like myself :) If you could also point me in a direction of where to find people to play with it'd be great as none of my friends play the mod, only SA.

Damn, I really have to spend another 7 euro :(

Thanks, just to confirm I do still need Arma II and Operation Arrowhead right? And if you wouldn't mind explaining to different server types to me I'd really appreciate it, only watched a few mod videos and thought wow that looks like so much fun compared to SA.

So after playing a lot of SA, I've decided I want to give the mod a go. I've watched a few videos and there appears to be some difference in opinion on the components needed. So far I'm just going with Arma II: Combined Operations. (Arma II, Operation Arrowhead and Arrowhead beta). But some say you need the British Armed Forces too, and I'm not sure which to go with. Basically I'm trying to save myself 7 euro haha, so I'd like to know what I need to do to install the DayZ Mod. Any help with components and installation is very much appreciated. Thanks.

While I'm here I may as well ask, is there a cure as such for hypothermia?
-
Killed a guy and found a note saying "You just got merked by the DayZ Mandem". Irony.
-
Suppose I should have considered it's only a test, was still more than annoying dying of random hypothermia while fully kitted out

I'm running outside and I get cold, even though this doesn't make sense because running keeps you warm I'm willing to let it slide. What I don't get is, why when I go inside (I am fully clothed none of it ruined) for a while I do not get any warmer; I just keep cooling off instead of warming up. I'm not sure if there's maybe something I should be understanding with the new temperature stuff but I'm confused by it and I've already died once of hypothermia on a sunny day without rain/being anywhere near water/etc etc blah blah. Thanks in advance if someone can explain why this is the case.
