Some times when i am in a town looting buildings i hear foots steps, and freeze and draw my weapon caustionly looking around, and it is just someone in my house walking past my room, Stupid hardwood floors lol -

I agree, i am always running through the woods and when i hear these things i look all around, but also even if they did have meaning it could just be your character scaring the birds away and not always someone else. -
I think the terminology is wrong, since it's a game bug it is Exploiting not Cheating since you arent' modifiying the Code in any way. I never use that kind of stuff myself, just trying to clarify for people the correct terms. It's till cheap but to each his own.

If you leave the game running and just siting on character screen steam will keep logging that you are playing as the game is still running. -
I used most of these suggestions in the link a while ago and haven't had any weird sound issue.

None of that should affect sound, try changing the sound settings maybe

Sure thing, i had a lot of issues at first and then used some of those tweeking guides to fix jumpiness and such.

That was the screen i thought i had mind blurry and it was just a video thing this may help too http://www.dayztv.com/standalone/dayz-performance-guide-crash-fix/ Your in-game play graphics are also the same as that start screen.

If you hit escape can you see the menu, if so go in and click on video and it will fix the issue

How are animals going to work?

I don't believe character resets happen. I have had this happen before but i think it was becasue i joined a hardcore server and hardcore and normal servers have different characters i believe.

I never fire first, i always try to talk with people i encounter, regardless of what gear and weapons they have. Most people i have talked to have been friendly and we either just state our intentions and part ways or we may banter for a while and exchange items. I have even helped a player find his barrings so he coudl meet up with his friends. I have only killed two people and that was last night as i came across them in a barracks i said hey and did get a hey back and i continued to chat, but the guy shot me in the arm. so i killed him and his friend. I like to give people the benifet of the doubt, but i am always on alert when i encounter any other player. -
Before the patch that messed up melee i was using a pitchfork, it would 1 or 2 shot any zombie

Did they fracture your arm? I had that happen before from 2 zombies and then i went unconcious from the bleeding.

i just killed 2 people, i said hey to a guy he said hey back and then he shot me, so i gunned him down, then his buddy shot me and i lit him up too. I don't like killing i try to be friendly but if you shoot me you're dead. they had nice gear to loot though.

Game is alpha get used to it. i have had this happen too once not a big deal eventually you will die and have to start over anyway.

I thought the same thing, i have the full ingame map and it can be hard to use unles you stay near roads. Would be nice to have it in russian as the signs. it can get confusing if you run through the woods and can't match the name without going to an online map.

I like leaving random nonsesnical notes around towns. I try to leave them where others will find them like policestations.

I have been having more and more friendly encouters. One guy i helped him get is location to meet up with his friends and found him backpack. Yesterday i met a guy with and M4 but no ammo, i have no M4 but clips and ammo, gave him a fully loaded 30 round clip. He was gracious and offered items in return, but i didnt' need anything. We parted ways but did see each other here and there around town.
