I got the DayZ standalone a couple of days ago, and I've been playing it on my Alienware M14xR2 (650m 2GB DDR5, 16GB DDR3, i7 3740QM 3.7GHz 6MB cache) on it's 1600x900 screen, and I got good frames at mostly low, and the game looked nice. I get home from my vacation and hook it up to my monitor and mouse and keyboard setup like usual, boot up the game, and have issues. The frames are crap at 1680x1050 (the monitor's resolution), and when I set the interface to Large (the only one that fills the screen) and 16:10 aspect ratio (the AR of the monitor), I've got half of the HUD and menus cut off like zoom on a crappy, cheap flatscreen. I don't know what to do... I've had to set it to 16:9 which looks horrible to see it all. Just saying this now, don't criticize Alienware. I like it, if you don't, keep that to yourself. It's what I wanted. I wanted a cool-looking laptop with flashy lights; it doesn't mean that's your cup of tea. I almost feel criminal saying Alienware online.. I shouldn't have to even say this, actually. But, anyway, does anybody have any recommended settings and a way to fix the aspect ratio? Yes, I know it's in alpha, but this pretty much ruins the game for me. :/ Should I disable my second monitor while playing, or even put it in Windows Basic mode (which I'm about to try)? Thanks, Gavin
