That would do pretty well mix of high and ultra and 50 fps out of towns and 30 fps in towns. The only thing that I could see replacing in the future would be the graphics card as the 750 ti is a mid range graphics card now. A good choice would be a 970 as it is inexpensive and very powerful. It has preformance only around 5-10 fps less than a 780 ti which is worth almost double the price.

I'm looking into buying one of these two computers. (I also know gaming on a laptop would require a lot of money but I can get the 1st for free or the second for only $500) The first has an i5 5200u 2.7 GHz cpu (I know not very good) A gtx 960 And 8 gigs of ram The second has an i7 4750hq at 3.2 GHz A gtx 965 2gb And 16 gigs of 1600mhz ram Also a 128 gig ssd so I could put the games on that to load faster. How much more preformance would I get with the second compared to the first as the cpu is much better. The difference in price is about $500. Would the first laptop be able to run the arma 2 mod, sa, and arma 3 fairly well with a mix of low/med/ high settings? I'm looking for only around 30 fps in towns. This would all be in 1080p V-Sync off and most of the effects off because I think it makes it look blurry. Thanks.

So im gonna build a computer and I want it to run Dayz on high to max settings with 40-50 fps. I am also looking to run BFHL and BF4 at ultra settings at ~60. I've done ALOT of research regarding GPUs CPUs and what is best and I've put together this on Pcpartpicker. I was wondering if this would be good or if I could improve in some areas or if its to overkill in others. Also, my budget is $1400-1550 http://pcpartpicker.com/p/YJYkqs

Would 12 gigs work or does the motherboard not support that?
-
Thanks! If I put an SSD in it could I load the OS onto it so it boots super quick or what? Also, how many fps does the 970 loose compared to the 780?
-
Also, a bit cheaper build, http://pcpartpicker.com/p/9TRTFT How many less fps will I get if I use this build?
-
This build seems inexpensive for the gpu it has, is a 780 to overkill for a 1400 price?
-
So I'm thinking I will upgrade to 16 gigs of ram, is this overkill? I've heard that 8 is plenty and I don't edit at all.

What graphics settings and FPS would the highest alienware X51 UPGRADED for a NVIDIA GTX 760 ti?
-
Would a 1700 laptop be better than a 1400 desktop?
-
It is weird but the website I'm ordering from, for the same specs except for the fact they are i7 and i5, they cost the same.
-
Is the i7 or i5 better for gaming? I can afford i7 but I've heard it slows down some games, is this true?
-
Thank you and is the i7 better because I can afford it

Will this run dayz mod, bf4 on ultra or at least high with 30 fps in cities? Desktop or Laptop? Desktop OS: Windows 8.1 64 bit CPU: intel core i7 4790 8MB Cache, 4.0 GHz Ram: 8GB DDR3 GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 760 Ti 2GB GDDR5 Monitor: 1080p OR 720p SSD? No Also is the 4th gen intel i5 or i7 better for games like arma, dayz and bf4? because I've heard mixed opinions of that.

I have found a few computers but all of the ROG computers are 1800-5000 dollars and thats a little out of my price range. I was thinking of the highest package of Alienware X51 but upgrading for a NVIDIA GeForce GTX 760 Ti 2GB GDDR5 Can you recommend a desktop?
