i find that punching in dayz is very popular. you can knock players or zombies unconscious, or just brawl other new spawns for fun.. i thought it would be a good idea to add maybe some cool unarmed weapons? to start, here is a picture of spiked knuckles which could inflict bleeding on a player or zombie once struck with the thorns on it. what do you guys think?

couple days into the game beat a guys head in with a pipe wrench ive yet to kill a player with bullets

it'd be cool to add a little ringing effect when you shoot like pure automatic gunfire, but nothing permanent and obstructive.

tell him he's wasted $30 if he doesn't play the game, equipment is extremely easy to get and he should log out at high ground.

and then outside the game (video driver maybe) make the image fill the 16:9 screen how is this done? i have my graphics card manager open, yet i cant seem to find anything related to this..

yeah thats my monitor resolution, the 1366x768. its apparently also my rendering resolution. in my launch options, i have -winxp set and apparently that makes it faster. although it disables me from changing my rendering resolution without my game crashing, id love to have both -winxp on and the rendering resolution low. is it possible for me to do that?

im not confused, im just saying that the low-ammo mags suit your idea of civilian weapons, like single-shot ar-15s.

i like the idea of civilian weapons. we already have low-ammo mags for the m4. maybe firing different ammo types (full metal jacket, homemade etc) would corrode your gun more and give weapon repair kits a use?

i dont believe it will make you sicker the more damaged it is. dayz zombies are tough as fuck, id rather fight them with pool cues.

the extent to which unarmed weapons could go is slightly limited. as in, there wouldnt be much variety. the spiked knuckles, maybe boxing gloves or regular brass knuckles would probably suffice for an entire unarmed catagory. the way you could use it, im thinking of it like, where you can pick up something in dayz in your hands, the unarmed weapon would clip onto your hands and then you could use it for fighting.

well there you go.. your graphics card is, well, very bad. your issue is your graphics card. if you want to fix your graphics issue, you will need to replace it since its actually not even a graphics card, its integrated, so you arent really going to be able to tweak it. edit ** your running a laptop, i dont think you'll be able to fix your problem, since most graphics in laptops are built into the actual computer themselves. you will probably need to get a different computer with ALOT better graphic card to play it ;(

well the lsu can apparently go to 800m, some people are really good snipers. you might have gotten a lag issue, where somebody got close to you and hit you with an axe but it just didnt show up on your screen cuz you were lagging and you got hit 3 times and were unconscious. kinda like zombie lag. Long Range Scope is a Weapon Attachment in DayZ Standalone. Rifle scope with variable zoom. Factory default zeroed to 200m and manually adjustable to 800m.

well the reason for dayz atm is testing it so you can report bugs and make the game better overall when its complete..

they are good suggestions, but some of the stuff like dropping your backpack to take out something would probably be too tedious to add into the game. i still want to be able to drop a melee in exchange for another rifle..

i felt the opposite, when i joined a hardcore server by accident, i was relieved to find that all of my things were 'reset' so i could start fresh without supplying some bandit. of course, then i found out i can run two different characters.. im all for starting new, i just dont like supplying other people with MY things!
