Yeah that was too bad, compensator and PU/LRS missing for Mosin. But hey, I thought there were going to be an character wipe due to update. Anyway sucks for you guys that had rare attachments :( -

Thank you sir for letting me know regarding my english, feels good I must admit :) I don't roleplay myself, I have done it IRL in my youth though. And the players I mentioned aren't really my 'friends', they are actually randoms I met around servers and forums so I don't have that much experince in that regard. Anyway I got the feeling that those I talked with, advocate 3pp prefer the scene that situation builds, situations that can be viewed as it was a "stage" somewhat.. if you know what I mean? More like watching a play or something. In that regard it naturally should make it less immersive, but isn't that a subjectively feeling or task that lies on the player? No I'm not a film maker, and I do prefer 1pp vastly, but I do have a 3pp character aswell when I feel like playing that :) I just wanted to chip in some opinions for preserving the 3pp, even though I don't play it much. I think it have it's place in this thread where there are many posters that heavy advocates for 1pp only...

Well first I guess still it's a subjective matter, most RPers I've chatted with prefered 3pp, of course these people are just stating their own personal opinons and so am I. And secondly, as english is my 3rd language and I'm poor at it, I tend to fail explaining myself properly. But as I can see in my first post in this thread, I haven't said that 3pp nor 1pp is easy-mode/brutal. I just pointed out that players need to adapt their gameplay to what restrictions/liberties each gamemode has to ensure their survival. I have been killed so many times when some player was 3pp viewing over a wall or behind a corner. So i started to take my time, observe, listening, moving in cover to look at different angles at those spots that players could easily hide, before moving into areas that could attract survivors. But hell I'm pretty sure every poster in this thread is more successful at surviving than me, so I don't need to tell others how to play the game. But neither do I cry "exploits" or want to deny others the 3pp gamemode that is prefered by so many players in this community.

It's good as it is already, leave 3pp and 1pp as it is. Both gamemodes has it flaws and perks, and it's up to the players to use it to their advantage and knowing/calculating how to execute actions safely to guarantee ones survival in a given situation. If one fail, so be it ... see ya on the coast. If I would be a roleplayer, I'd probably would hate to see 3pp vanish, as the 3pp camera gives the option to observe the situation/scene in multiple ways. I really don't get this urge to take away the 3pp for other players just because yourself are a hardcore 1pp player. Denying players in the community their (maybe) preferable gamemode. I just don't get it.. Is it a fear of 1pp servers dying due to less populus? There are better ways to ensure its survival. Just on the top of my head: Make 1pp cheaper to rent than 3pp. Allow 1pp servers to have more players on a server than 3pp - Or just maybe let players step up their game for themselves, to start playing 1pp and get better at DayZ. Afterall, those are the players we want on 1pp servers for getting quality gameplay and interactions. I am not saying that it doesn't exist on 3pp servers, but I am adressing to those who want to deny community members of the pleasures of 3pp.

Thanks for the quick response and the link. I'm sure Odin knows what he is talking about, but in my case it has nothing to do with "I can´t play the game". I didn't mix up servers, those servers are added to favourites since 0.51 without any problems... and I did try to rejoin after spawning on coast, several times. So there is probably some server issues with loading character info, no problems... I tend have short lifes with my characters :) Just wanted to share my experiences in case there was a problem for others...

Don't know if this is the thread to mention this, but After every server restart (4 restarts), my character resets and I spawn back on coast. Two different .SE servers public/non persistant.

I think it´s a Arma thing, those games has been poorly optimized throughout the series even though one have a good rig. It is a very demanding game, but in defense it is very pretty and a big world that has to be rendered. As for your rig it seems really good even though I have no recent experience with AMD stuff. I myself run a i7-4770k 3,5ghz with a Gefoce 780 and it gets real bad especially in towns. I followed this guide, now this youtuber uses Nvidia but I guess there is equal settings in Catalyst Software for ur GPU. Yeah, apples and zucchinis can be cultivated in Russia, it would be great to collect those. Bananas and oranges would probably need a giant tempered greenhouse with support lightning to work in that climate. Meadowsweet is also a herb that can be used as aspirin, well we use it where I´m from anyways. Edit: There are pinetrees everywhere. One could use the shoots, green pointy (sorry don´t know the english word) for making a multivitamin tea. Well Vitamin C at least :)

Cool ideas, I support it. They could at least make the pumpkins eatable and add those dang berrys to the shrubs that are placed all over chernarus.

Well Papaver Somniferum is a annual herb where Morphine comes from. You could collect them and make a tea from the flowers when cooking is added to the game for fixing broke legs and such. But I cannot think anyone would go through the massive work to make some morphine-tea, or keep the needed items in their backpack to prepare it. Better just use some morphine injectors, even though it be a cool feature to collect medicinal herbs. There are too few illnesses (is it really called that? :)) to make it worth the while.

It was about 2 weeks ago and I was running alone on a low populated server. I was exploring the northern parts of Chernarus and if I remember it right I entered the town right north from the North Eastern Air Strip. As I entered the edge on the westside of the town I saw a 2 deck timberhouse, first time I ever seen one of those. On the frontage of the house there was a big wooden sign, the interior was a restaurant/pub. To the left there were tables and chairs for eating, to the right there were a bar with numerous small tables with chairs and in front of the main door there was a stair, upstairs there were 2 bedrooms and a hallway. The place was pretty loaded with loot, an SKS, clothes and soda cans downstairs and a shotgun in one of the bedrooms upstairs. Score! I went along and looted the rest of the town and then the server restarted. I joined the server again and started to look for the house once again as I wondered if there had spawn any other weapons. I couldn´t find it where it were placed the last time. So when I left the town towards the main road that leads to Svetlojarsk I found the house standing near the barn that has a dirt road connecting with it. This time the place was totally empty. This is the first and only time I have seen that house, but I haven´t gone through that town since then for that matter. I find it kinda strange because the housemodels throughout the map are limited and are well known for me. So I wonder if anyone else here have come across the moving house or have seen it anywhere else. I'm in no sense a experienced DAYZ player but I have been to almost every village/town by now.

Yeah it sure had loads of goodies in there, but only before server restart no loot afterwards. Weird but I like it still :) Might head north and check it out again. Yeah that struck me aswell when I looted that town, no zombies at all. Well I ain´t no stranger for some melee :) That is so weird. I swear there was only one at the westside pre server-restart. And then it moved. Have to check it out later. As I said above, just saw the one and I looted the town properly. Have you seen that model any other town in Chernarus? That struck me as remarkable. -
That is the town that had the moving house I looted about 2 weeks ago. It changed it locations between server restart, and it was a 2 deck timberhouse, a pub/restaurant that I never have seen in any other town or village. Loads of loot innit.

I understand what you mean, but still military grade clothes are such a perk in the game so I still run with them. I am so easily spotted when running around with most civilian clothing. This is my player now for the last 2 weeks. I can easily hide from players I don´t want to meet, I don´t get wet in them, and I still haven´t got KOS with the interactions I came across with. https://cdn.anonfiles.com/1398201367294.jpg

Not many people want to admit they´re prejudicial, as for me aswell, but we do categorize people during the first seconds at meeting them. I´d guess it could take quite some time to change the way we judge certain people/players after first meeting, actions/communication. With a weapon in hand, and most definetely in a game, we can make rushed impulsive choices for the wellbeing of the self. As getting creeped up by a dude with a weirdo mask would definetely make myself to attack at once. The mask kinda make a impression of psychotic and unpredictable at least for me. Don´t like 'em, they look kinda creepy aswell. As for camo clothing I don´t get the same impression, they are just better. Durable, rainresistant and blend in with the enviroment. I take military grade clothes over civilian any time. And if you don´t want to get KOS, make the necessary precautions not to be seen.

Same here. For me its interrupted sounds from zombies getting the whiff from me and the splitting rounds/combine bandages. Happens like every 5 seconds.
