I was using a plugin on teamspeak 3 called overlay and it basically tells me on screen who is chatting so i can identify who is speaking as im new to the teamspeak server this is very helpful to remember who's name it is that i am talking to. I was told off one of the guys though that i may get banned for it as it may be misinterpreted as a hack, obviously this isnt my attention. So is it ok to use the overlay plugin on teamspeak while on dayz or not? thanks in advance. Edit: I've disabled the overlay for now to avoid any trouble.

Thanks for the lengthy response man i appreciate it. Im gonna risk it as i think atleast a few people are using it without issue so hopefully this has been logged in battleye as legit. I'm really hoping for a developer response to clarify this issue(ie working with battleye/DayZ), or is there perhaps a way I can contact the creaters of battleye to see if this is ok to use? Even when i moved the beta folder and try to install the 94700 patch an error message pops up and says. The version of ArmA2 OA (1.61) is more recent than this patch version (1.60). So tell me what the fuck is going on

Wrong wrong and more wrong. I deleted the beta folder. Tried to install it says: cant install 1.6.0 because later version was found 1.6.1. So i listened to the other guy "rename your exe." tried to install the 94700 patch to no avail. Can someone post an ACTUAL fix to roll back this horrendous fucking patch please. Thanks. Because so far this thread is absolutely useless.

That's not the servers having custom settings. Whenever there's no moon now, it'll be PITCH BLACK. This all due to the new Beta patch for Arma 2 (93616 and up, i believe) where they tweaked tone mapping for the worse. ahh that makes sense.. :(

People aren't using barbed wire to be tactical whatsoever they are just using it to piss people off by blocking off loot and access to any building its totally ridiculous and has been a nuisance since day one. Thoughts?

Hi mate just wondering what rig you run? atm im running: nvidia GTX550 TI 4gb ram 3GHz AMD quad core Phenom current nvidia driver version 301.42 I seemed to be getting better frames on an older patch, but had just recently updated to the latest drivers to see if they were working any better. I do see what you mean with it being linked to the server your in, but i dont believe this accounts for 100% of fps drops. I can play battlefield 3 on high details on all and stay above 40 frames a second and never drop below. But on this game even on a good server which my friends are telling me is running great to them, is running horrificly bad for me. Sometimes i dont even get 5 FPS. YES 5 FPS. I tell you its absolutely ridiculous. Had this bad fps issue the entire time ive played this. Going to try to run a arma 2 server and see if my frames are still horrible, i think its just happening on DayZ. I hope they will start at acknowledge this unplayable FPS mess because SOME (most i think) are having terrible fps ALOT. People will be just as quick to throw you under the bus as they have been to buy your game if it doesnt run to a standard thats supposed to be, please have people dedicated to find out why alot of people are having a terrible game experience due to these god damn fps drops.

This was last night.. and its not exactly the worst thing ive ever done, but the noobiest. Me and my friend logged off in a warehouse with hangar type doors, i smoked a joint and we logged back in. My friend was having a bit trouble logging on so i was keeping watch, then out of nowhere a guy appears infront of me, its so fast i only had one reaction, SHOOT HIM IN THE HEAD AND STEAL HIS SHIT, so i did. Only to find my friend marshall in my headset saying "What.. WHAt the fuck!?" .... my response.. "Oh man im sorry i fked up", "I wasnt sure if it was you!" .. So i protect his fallen corpse with my own life holding my hand to my head thinking to myself im a massive douchebag, about 2 minutes of waiting the door flys open and a guy stands there with his m16 proudly, I peak his ass and pop all my maka rounds into what i thought was his head. He takes them like a champ and proudly sneaks forward with his massive machine gun to my pitiful pistol, i quickly reload and strafe shooting his face again.. he manages to get a few hits off on me but eventually he falls to the floor and i put another clip in his head to make sure. I'm hit.. So i get onto comms with marshall again... "ehh well i know it may sound cheeky saying as ive just killed you and all, but do u think when u get here u could give me a blood transfusion?" rofl... is about the reply. Anyway he returns and we distribute the loot of this fallen champ who tanks maka bullets like a african elephant. The guy had 12 clips of m16 ammo, no scope unfortunately, he had a pdw with 2 clips which i was going to give to marshall. He gets here and we continue passing the loot and he says he wants the pdw and i accidentally delete it using the crazy inventory! Alot of noob slip ups last night but well ive only been playing like a week :), and marshall will forgive me... in time :P .. not sure about the guy with the m16 though.
