Its amazing how this game has twisted me.... I am especially suspicious of overly friendly players... if they are not well equipped they are bait to get you standing still for their sniper buddy... if they are well equipped then they will likely kill you first chance. The best encounter for me is another equipped player, grunting a few words then heading off in separate directions. The only saving grace for the game though is a lot of this is less of an issue when you are in a group. 2 min, pref 3+

yeah, why on earth was that sound removed?!?!? Perhaps there is a mid-ground answer, such as if your joing a server and its been less than 30 mins since you logged out then the sound is played when you join. I also like the idea of not being able to logout within X mins of having fired your weapon.

I second the idea a distant sniper may of shot it dead. I've had a mate using a mosin shoot a zombie off me from a great distance... I heard no shot from the mosin and the zombie to me just appeared to literally disappear mid running, thus was dead. Mate confirmed he'd shot it. Also if your on a hill then zombie do seems to kill themselves by running down-hill and jumping.

Any news on when the numbered hot keys across the bottom of the screne will quickly register a single press and select the given item? as opposed to being 50/50 the key-press works at all

It would also help id the crazy people because obviously they'd be drawn to wearing a pink tutu like a moth to a flame

I think there is an urgent need for a nice pink tutu in dayz. Two immediate uses I can think of: 1) Clan initiates and disgraced members can be made to wear the pink tutu of shame. 2) Bandits/Trolls can go round making fresh spawns wear them in "their" town.... better than being shot. Thoughts?

In translation no attempt to communicate and you quickly figure the guy is AFK... quick get the kill in? There's your problem right there, kama is a bitch!

Never in 30 years gaming have I ever felt so "picked on" by a game in my life!! I mean it goes against all statistical odds the amount of bad/dumb luck I have in Dayz SA. Looting is a non starter for me, please God don't make it rarer because I never find anything! I need a weapon I find twigs... I need food and have nothing to open cans then I either find no food or just cans! I need drink I find cans, I need food I find drink... also on those occasions when I fill the last slot I have with some random junk its guaranteed the next thing I click on to pick up will be disinfectant and the game decides I meant to drink it! why? because my pockets are full... The piece de resistance for me was last night... after a bad luck run the previous night I was left with a broken arm and the "my arm hurts" messages were driving me nuts! I was a new spawn and figured I'd be better off dying so as I was right next to berezino I'd go run through town and give the snipers some practice... the server had plenty of people on it.... well guess what? I got bored doing laps round the flats and running down the high street so I started looting and before I knew it I'd worked my way right through town, found a little stuff (mostly twigs and cans) and I'd not so much as heard one shot! Now this is in contrast to the times when I'm geared up.... I could be squatting in a bush 250 metres outside berezino... fart and have a dozen snipers from all over light me up!!!?! Also, I think zombies are scared of guns... they must be! They are all over me like shank on shit when I'm a new spawn, then once I have a gun they are nowhere to be seen.

Yeah thats the problem but allowing as good as zero settings for various aspects of the render ruins the game.... I know they want to sell "loads-a-copies" of the game but in time peeps will realise zero settings is ruining it.... well, apart from the pvp whores but it does make me wonder just how stupid people are that play dayz as strictly pvp because its a great atmospheric survival game but a terrible pvp game, there are many better alternatives for that.... All I can imagine is there are a lot more cousins marrying and/or babies being dropped on their heads than I know.
