lots of hate to bad, cool find. I'll spare some beans :beans: But i get thad it's a bit rare. Police Stations these dayz have far les loot in them and i find it hard to fins a gun it. I just avoid them now, it is a high loot intrest area. Guns spawn crazy in half granny house these dayz any way. p.s. i just stumbled upon a heli chash site with like 2 glowsticks a flash bang both diffrent m4 reddots a mp butstock for m4 2x55.6 Pmags (20 and a 30 rounder) and.... a styer AUG. Hype :lol: Always find stuf when you don't look for it.

I must agree with this. Having the better guns harder to find and more away from player spawns is a good idea. It rewards spending a long time gathering good gear to be better. There is more to balance than the way a gun performs.

ok how can I tell a AKM ''sucks' having only screen shots and rumors? I always facepalm on topics like this, people don't even try to look up the capabilities of a gun. They all think like a yolo cod kid, pull the trigger till it stops... hit noting? = crap gun. Like thew m4, defald it's bad in +400m having lots of flyers. Still there are so many mags to be found for the m4 and lots of ammo. It's only up to the person to know how a gun preforms and than use it in a way it will fit. Target at 400m? have a defald m4? 1.move closer 2.leave it be and find more parts for the m4. Come on plan things out. It's only alpha gun balance is some thing for the beta. Now in alpha stuff will be put in the game to see if they can get it to work to some degree.(prob still buggly but not game chrasing)

I have killed 2 guy's so far. I don't like KoS and chooce for hero's path. Died so many times. First kill i had was just after a update in experimental where it became night. lots of ppl ditched ther flashlight in the beginning so every one came togeter in the town. 10-5 newspawns derping gread times. So 1 guy ran up to us ''Help this guy trying to kill me'' So i screamd a battle cry over voise and followed thad guy following him with my farming hoe, i hoe'd thd uum... farming hoe. 2nd guy i killed was in a police station in nov sabor. When i was looting suddenly a guy was standing there with 2 guns in the corner. I had to shoot him i had only a sks with like 7 rounds and no means to hold up a guy like thad. KoS is bad but it's still a survival game some times you have to shoot some one to keep yourself safe. After all you dont always have the chanse to let some 1 pass by or hold them up. So dont feel bad on what happend on the airfield it's a high danger zone and as far gunplay in dayz the 1 who shoots first from a safe spot mosly wins.

I met a guy at NW arfield so i handcuffed him. Took a look in his back pack. He had a motorcycle helmet, mele,FNX45, cargo pants and a 4 slot vest. I took his mag and removed the ammo although i didn't notice it was a 9mm mag.(prob why no gunplay was made) But better to be safe than sorry so took the ammo gave him in return a opend tin of peaces and a bandage. Poor guy had like no food and med stuff. After thad i uncuffed him and told him in the tens upahead is a m4. It's hard playing the good guy got killed so many times, but the few i helped are alway so fun. Give a new spawn a prestine allauld vest, engraved 1911+ammo&mag,some food and a bandage. Just the way they don't expect you to be nice is so fun. To bad so many unproper bandis are in dayZ, what ever happend to ''give me your beans'' Though known how eazy it is to knock some one down with your fists and drag his gun to your hands i can understand is a little, only a little. Why do helmets dont protect against knockout bu unarmed attacks?

I just don't like this running zombie I like standard zombie lore, zombies are zombies and they dont run. If you whant them to run call them the infected. Sorry if i get all fanboy over it.

M4 The m4 default is not the best gun since most of the attachments quality relays in its accuracy. Mag pull part seem to be a gread pick. CQB butstock is a bit iffy at the moment having a lot of flyers in my shots when i try them and pistol is better in cqb.(+ dayz alpha gun play is not really super for in your face cqb its a bit cluncky) Quad rail seems to be fine for me though some ppl say it gives accuracy prob, and since only weapon flashlight needs quad rail wel its not to bad to leave it on the floor. But at the moment you can have a magpull grip +light, just find a quad rail put the light on next paint the quad rail and finaly drag magpull grip to the m4 and select ''attach to weapon'' So in the end is the question is it worth the trouble scavenging? I say yes the mags are the factor, VERY eazy to find ammo in all those mags. Also you have 10 diffrent mags to be found wats makes them very very eazy to find(black 10,20,30,40, green10,20,30,40,standard 30,double stack 30 ) Personaly i think those double stacks need to be looked at. They give 60 round mag though is just 2 30 mags + duck tape. But since dayz is in alpha i say leave it. But also remove it from spawning and let ppl craft them from 2 standard 30 round mags + duck tape.(yes i know they need space in between but game play wishe it's a fix) SKS As for or sks the 7.62x39 steel case is eazy to find. But the 10 round clips however are like pistol mags just way to hard to find. Love to see the 20 round ammo boxes empty in 2 10 round clips if you want to set it close to the m4. Pu scope is nice to but you cant use irons sight while its on the gun. Russian have the costum to set the sights high over the barrel so thad the irons are still useble while its on the gun. Cud be a nice touch to the sks and mosin-nagant and akm maby? --------------------------------------------------------------- To put it simple the m4 is still better in my opinion. sks is nice to use but the m4 just has a bit more in finding ammo and mags. But the AKM is prob a better contender for a battle i think. (I hope) P.S. The 5.56 is a smaller projectile but that's because the us made thad round from scrach to be ther intermediate. The russians just took a 7.62x54r for ther intermediate and trimmed it to 39. Germans did the same for there stg44 where they took ther full rifle charge(7.92x57) and just made it bit smaller(7.92x33). Thouh ironic thad the us where the last to use a intermediate and actually planned the full rifle cartridge for the m14. So yes 5.56 is smaller but it's also made for it's own charge where the projectile from the 7.62x39 was made for a full rifle charge(7.62x39) giving it more power on inpact. Kina like putting a new smaller engine in a big car, more enegry wasted to move the bigger wieght since thad body was made knowing it was for a car with a big engine giving more room to play with.

Every time i use a acog i get like 20-15 frames more did not test how scope works but prob also gives a boost. 17-15=2 :| this guy must be traped in a low fps.

Hardly worth the trouble looking at. Sorry but a blurry selfie is not a good way to show how good your pc runs. Way more variables are in play. Screen resolution, game settings (low,mid,high), low or high pop server, combination of hardware&drivers, how stable is the overclock if any is in use,type of cooling in the pc, temps while running the game, +the room temp.

Nice topic post. I think some of these things will be gone when the game is done. Now it takes long to get geard running from town to town. Find a cable firearm to roam some military loot spots for gear. But if let's say a new update comes with cars if 1 of your budddy's dies you can just pick him up from the beach and give his gear from the car. But now in standalone you can't. This makes you think if a firefight is worth the risk loosing your grear and thas why many ppl prefer a low pop server. Thads also why i love the standalone, takes a long time to get good gear so you prob wana keep it so you end up trying to take a low risk tactic.

I think it's a better idea to have the mele weapon slot be usable for primary fire arms. The fire axe is still a good zombie killer even with the nerf, just try to hit ther heads while running around them. But giving you the option to equip a .22 sporter or crossbow on thad slot is nice weapon for hunting/zombie killing. + make it so thad you can use a hacksaw on a fire axe to craft a tomahawk and put in your backpack. The cross bow is nice but having 2 primary weapons is a pain to move around. And the way it's still bugged prob not gona use it for a while.

try this Type %localappdata% in run. Go to dayz>battle eye Delete all BEclient.dll file's but don't replace it, leave the folder battle eye completely empty. Start the game and log in on a server, battle eye will download automatically and place the dll file. I had the same prob. In my case my battle eye was outdated/broken. So whenever i logged in on a server the server told me my battle eye was incorrect. Next my client started downloading the correct battle eye. But when it was done downloading it failed due to not be able to replace the old BEclient.dll forcing it to just rename the new dll file. No idea why but prob since thad file was still in use. When i opend %localappdata% dayz>battle eye i found 2 files 1 with a small rename. So after deleting both and relogging no old file with the same name to cud fail the installation.

The game Dayz'd me. Fully geard and bored out of my mind running on the server on like 2AM. So 1-3 ppl online so when i founs a engraved 1911 i try to kill some time shooting zombie's. Having no mag is a pain and since server was so empty i whent looting firehouse in electro. loot loot done climing down from the roof and double tap to sprint to a next loot spot. And sudden rubberbanding, than back on the roof still running.... Wel take a wild guess what happened, tip i'm not a bird
