Wait... Are you talking about real life? Lol. Mosins Cost anywhere from 100 to 180 bucks depending on condition. Trust me, they made 17 million of them during WW2, they are in no way rare. I got mine for 180 as all the serial numbers matched for my bayonet and stock, barrel, etc. and it was in excellent condition.
-
Again, I own a Mosin. That has been professionally drilled into the stock. Notice the iron sights missing?
-
Can we fix it so that you can't just a slide a scope onto a Mosin just like that? The Mosin does not have a rail for a scope, and in order to fit a scope you need to drill into the stock and professionally implement a Scope-rail. So Mosins should not be able to fit scopes, as that is un-realistic.

Will the late May update fix the broken distance rendering?
Insane Ruffles replied to Rick1633's topic in General Discussion
The fact that you think a VERY important mechanic doesn't matter is incredulous. Guess what? This is Dayz, and most if not all the time, no one is going to have a spotter. You NEED to see those bullet splashes in order to get an accurate shot. That is what Snipers and Artillery men did back in the old days because there wasn't advanced equipment to do that. -
Alright, I have seen this waay to many times and it is frankly pissing me off. There are posters everywhere saying "This is a Russian Farming Community, they wont have that." This is just BS. If we were really going all out realism then there would be very little guns anywhere except military bases. Dayz is focused on a zombie apocalypse, not a Russian apocalypse. I don't just want Russian surplus weapons, because that is boring as hell. I want weapons from everywhere (Preferably older weapons) And I want them to spawn just as much as Russian weapons. I'm talking about the MP40, the Sturmgewehr 44, the M1 Garand, Lee enfield, M44, etc. IDGAF if all you want is Russian everything, because that is boring as hell especially in a farming community where there are only going to be shotguns and crappy rifles. Dayz needs to have weapons, clothing, and vehicles from all over the world to give a diverse experience. There needs to be Russian guns, yes, but in no way should they dominate all of Chernaurus

BTW, I question your ability to post on the forums, as it is obvious that you don't care about a broken mechanic. -

Alright, I was trying to be patient, but know that all morons piss me off to extremities. I actually own a Mosin Nagant, and I bring it to the firing rang e regularly. All Mosin 91/30s cannot fit scopes, and when I fire it at a target that is 800 M away I can see the bullet splash completely fine, WITHOUT A SCOPE. If I had a scope, the splash would be more than obvious. I shoot Hay Bale targets. The only time I could see bullet splash not being visible would be if it hit a building, but even then it blasts dust off of concrete. -
Server Admins - The in-ability to maintain and manage a server
Insane Ruffles replied to ramsfan00's topic in General Discussion
Yes. However, I think admins need to be watched. I have come across dozens and dozens of DayZ mod servers where Admins are extremely temperamental and will ban you for even talking about a problem the server has. As far as Admin abuse in-game goes, I really do not mind if admins screw around, as long as they aren't killing a lot of people. I have seen some admins screw around in mod and interact with their player base, and that is what made them great servers. For people who think it may ruin the experience, you can go to a "professional" hive, because active admins offer a new experience as a whole. -
Stop With the "This is Russia BS"
Insane Ruffles replied to Insane Ruffles's topic in General Discussion
I find it interesting as to how you keep criticizing me for wanting older weapons when it isn't "realistic", yet I never mentioned realism anywhere. Please look back to my text and explain where I wanted realism? my exact point was that me, and many other people do not want complete Russian dominated weapons and items. -

Yes, and Zombies should line up in Phalanx formation and march through Cherno moaning, "ΜΟΛΩΝ ΛΑΒΕ!" -
Stop With the "This is Russia BS"
Insane Ruffles replied to Insane Ruffles's topic in General Discussion
I have seen it a lot actually, and this is aimed towards the community to tell them to stop posting that "This is Russia, they wont have that stuff, there should only be Russian weapons." As mentioned by body bagger, there would be all sort of weapons, not just Russian weapons. And I'm not saying I want more weapons right now, I am pointing out how stupid and redundant these posts are. No where did I say more American weaponry, i said more older weaponry from all over the globe. -
I believe 80 or 85% of ALL guns should spawn with empty mags. I am a gun owner myself, and have many gun owner friends as well. Every gun owner keeps the mag with their gun, period. Most of the time it is in the gun itself, or right next to it.

What would be extremely cool is if you could press a key and your character brought up your weapon and you were able to examine all parts of it as if it were in your hand. This would solve the issue mentioned above. I may make a separate topic about this myself.

Vicinity is extremely important, even if the game wasn't buggy at all. Vicinity allows you to organize stuff on the ground before taking it, just like you would in real life. Looting in the Mod was kind of painful when going into a place with a lot of ammo or loot, and it was just a waste of time.

UnReal Gaming Panthera Epoch [Active Admins] [Fresh DataBase] [Tons of scripts]
Insane Ruffles replied to hunter2123's topic in Mod Servers & Private Hives
Ok, don't listen to these imposters. They stole our name and have been advertising on our server (The real Unreal Gaming) for ages now. When we banned them, new accounts came over and started nuking us. They are destroying our player base to fill up theirs.
