I've already realized they will probably never fix this bug. so I'm advocating they add a way for players to get themselves out of the debug areas when they inevitably end up there. I have filed reports, made nicer threads, tried to talk to the dev team on twitter. There's no response. the amount of times I have spawned there is absurd. It's more than once a day, on a fully-updated (through sixupdater) game and mod. in the past week its happened EIGHT times they won't fix it. but they can at least do something about it -
try to ACTUALLY fix spawning in the debug plains this time. your mod is simply unplayable right now. I have been spawned there eight times in the last week. Each time I've lost hours of progress. It's a fucking joke.

easy for you to say deal with it when it doesn't happen to you, you fucking twerp and every fucking patch is supposed to fix this. it never does. meanwhile we get shit like the hilariously bad new zombie animations. Should I wait for 1.7.3? 1.8? the beta? the full release? when it gets ported to arma 3? when can I play just like everyone else clearly can? -

no guns just means running through towns like a moron, outright ignoring zombies until you find a weapon, or proning everywhere until you find a weapon. just give new players a random melee weapon so this absurd gameplay can come to an end -

the entirety of 1.7.1 has been a total fuckup. 1.7.1.1 - psychic zombies, introduced "sprint through towns until you find gun" mini-game 1.7.1.2 - randomly lose your gear while the server crashes every 10 minutes 1.7.1.3 - apparently so astoundingly bad it was skipped altogether 1.7.1.4 - FPS so bad it's unplayable, and jet engine shoes making zombies worse than 1.7.1 so how about we get this next 1.7.1.5 - fixed zombie FPS issues, reverted player sound levels back to normal and we'll almost be all set. when the retarded new mini-game you have to play every time you spawn, where you're roleplaying as a russian usain bolt desperately trying to find a gun is removed, it'll be good to go -
This is the third time I've been moved to the debug forest or plains and been instantly shot in the back by some mong and this is after losing my stuff twice randomly to 1.7.1.2 yes it's an alpha. now give me back my: DMR m4a3 cco ghillie suit gps hunting gear m1911

couldn't find a thread about this so I'm making one last time a server I was on crashed, I lost half my items. DMR, GPS, supplies, all vanished. Meanwhile I gained a bunch of items I had ages ago, and my m1911 was replaced by a makarov that I've never even had I've tried multiple servers and waited a while but it's not coming back I'm hearing the same from other players elsewhere and a few of my friends too

well considering the massive fuckup that has been 1.7.1 and the hotfixes after that, maybe now would be a good time to start restoring equipment again the whole beta OA excuse doesn't hold up anymore either. I've always used it, and now it's mandatory

The best experiences I've had have been hostile. That mad, paranoid crawl through a remote town trying not to get zombie aggro, trying to find whoever fired those shots before they find you my single best moment so far has been trying to find a sniper in stary who killed my friend. I saw three people die to him as I spent an hour crawling around in the bushes. scared shitless. you can't get that in other games. -
There's a bunch of ambient sounds in dayZ that are clearly just randomly played sounds, not actually caused by anything happening in-game. No, I'm not talking about the music, I mean some of the actual ambient sounds. There's one that sounds like a metal gate or door opening that gets played randomly in towns or cities a lot for example, and the first few times I heard it when I was new, I thought I'd actually heard a player A lot of the sounds are pretty quiet and I wouldn't be surprised if most people haven't even noticed, but playing on a decent audio set up with studio monitors there's a lot of distracting, random ambient sounds of things that aren't actually happening. sure you start to filter them out over time, but they're still unnecessary

There's a difference between vague sounds that add to the feel of the game, and very distinct sounds that simply shouldn't be there especially as sound is done pretty well in this game, and listening out for other players is essential, it doesn't make sense that there are sounds like a gate opening being played when it didn't actually happen. Make a good soundscape and you can keep your 'paranoia', without having to confuse players -

my point is more that you can remove the border region, but you'd also have to do something about storing loot and vehicles inland. I think that right now it's not unreasonable to leave the map to hide stuff, but it would be better for everyone if a different solution was found. Obviously just making tents better wouldn't stop people leaving the map, but if you do want to put an end to 'void camps', give players an alternative -

no, no, no makarov wars are not a problem. getting killed by well-equipped players just after spawning is not a problem. PvP is being done with winnys and lee enfields or better gear. Adding a tedious 'find a gun' minigame at the start of every life isn't going to change the way the game plays out at all.
