    This is an amazing idea, I love it. Is there a way to promote this so a dev or mod can see it?

    New weapons + scopes

    The problem with these firearms are simply in the situation the game is intended to have. I don't think rifles should have a range anymore than 1000m at most. When the gun starts doing more for the kill that you are, where is the enjoyment? That idea of DayZ is to create a simulation of a zombie outbreak, not a simulation of a military sniper. I don't want to see snipers in SA become the mod snipers. I want to see DayZ SA snipers exemplify in ways we have never seen before, they can track a person, stay out of sight where there is no cover, and hit their first shot. Ask yourself, what fun is there in sitting out of possibly visible and audio range, (In most cases) instantly killing an unaware target and probably ruining all of their gear? However, I do love the idea of having a wide variety of scopes, this means a sniper would have to adapt to their gun to make it an extension of themselves, like it should be. I also don't think we should have very many military firearms, in a situation like DayZ, you're more than likely going to have a rifle intended for target shooting or hunting, not for killing people. DayZ's snipers should have to learn a different culture for sniping than in the mod, or real life, to give the word "Sniper" a fearsome and respectable meaning in SA.
