  1. Boneboys closed this thread on the grounds that the OP was committing slander. http://forums.dayzgame.com/index.php?/topic/185495-dayz-sa-slow-development-ponderings-on-why/ I came to these forums to see what people's opinions were on the Dayz development pace. It is quite unfortunate to see that the forum moderators close any threads that do not praise the game's development speed. After not playing for a couple months and coming back only to be met with the inability to equip weapons, not seeing zombies move though being attacked, having the quit the server only to be unable to join a new one, I decided that the development didn't seem to be so "fast" after all. The game is still hardly playable, let alone filled with the content it needs by now. If I hear one more fan boy say "It's alpha, you were warned" I'm going to scream. It may be true that it is alpha, but that does not excuse BIS for how they've treated their supporters. A game moving at this development should be reserved for developers making games with their friends inside of their mother's basements, not a company that has sold over a million copies at $30 bucks a pop. I had a lot of excitement for the mod and standalone and had been following them for a couple years. The success of the Dayz SA client was encouraging. But after four months with no progress apparent, it's starting to seem that Bohemia Interactive and Rocket have made one of the most successful cash grabs in gaming history. Oh, but I guess this is "slander" so you might as well close this thread. As a player of this game that has absolutely no say in how the game is developed, it only saddens me that gaming companies can exploit the naivety of their fans (mine included) so easily. Rocket really does not deserve this much success. The amount of money they have made should have resulted in a completed form of the client being ready by the end of summer. At this pace that seems woefully unlikely. I'll never spend my money on an incomplete game again. Big deal right? Who am I? As long as Rocket and his (basically nonexistent) developing team have made their money, who cares? Now, please perform the inevitable thread closing you discussion encouraging forum moderators.
