Ah well thats because you can't take a joke. That was banter between myself and another yet you come full of righteous indignation kind of makes you wonder why ? do you have an inferiority complex? perhaps a feeling that you will never be as good as the others around you ? The english and the english language are far from a 'modern day irrelevance' so forgive me if I have to laugh and loudly at such a ridiculous statement!, go back and try to troll others with a little less experience, age or education and let the big people get along with their discussions ok. Just for info some of my best mates and colleagues are taffs, jocks and paddies and all ex servicemen like myself. Oh and don't think your underlying rasicm has not gone unremarked either.

Thats just cause you're all jealous lol. Taffs, Jocks and Paddies

Never had a prob finding binos but x2 is pathetic for them they should do 8x40s minimum

Not quite a true statement that now is it, considering that almost every major city, town and large village in DK has a shooting range, that in a population of 5 mil or so that there are over 300k with hunting licences and that DK has relaxed certain gun laws expanding the acceptable calibers. As for fierce socialists.....well not really either; fierce democrats more like as DK was the first country to have a democratically elected government system (since Harald bluetooth). I know a fair amount of Danes that vote Venstre or DFP. Danes are great people though and the other statements, well who doesn't want healthcare, jobs and tons of bacon ! which will now have me dying for bacon until I get back to DK. But anyway I was totally off topic there lol.

BIG NEWS ! submachine-gun, tents, teddy bears, and much more
Legio23 replied to rotteck's topic in General Discussion
Why 20 dollars ? Thats my point exactly LR shooting should not be easy at all in fact anything over 300m (effective combat range of most assaut rifles) should be made complicated hence my previous comment concerning the addition of certain factors enabling a shot. Most people would more than likely give up after a short period of time after seeing how complicated it is and lacking patience to learn. You'd only get the patient, dedicated players using them then and they would be a real threat with such a weapon especially if they add a x12 scope with drop markers etc. -
Dispertion should decrease with different stances, standing, kneeling, adapted or prone, whether the person is out of breath or not, physical conditions, adding sight alignement and trigger control will just complicate it. I've been shooting for many, many years now and, like many experienced shooters, it becomes instinctive and muscle memory. But I do see what you're getting at.

BIG NEWS ! submachine-gun, tents, teddy bears, and much more
Legio23 replied to rotteck's topic in General Discussion
If they added all the mechanics for long range shots using a .50cal/12,7mm then there will be a lot of people getting upset with it, windspeed and direction, temp, hot or cold bore shot, elevation, outside temp, ammo temp, weather conditions, correct ranging, ballistics etc etc....well then you'd only get the really dedicated shooters going for it as others would drop it after attempting their first long range shot lol. -
Not a bad idea in itself but not really sure if it would take off, I think that I would find it more frustrating than anything else as it would annoy me as to the amount of fiddling around you'd have to do, extra keys involved etc. On the otherhand the use of long range scopes could be a little more complex and would not be as hard to do, such as breathing, wind speed and direction, elevation etc.

Well don't worry I'm sure Being Welsh is only partly your fault, but what do I know I'm English....oh and Hej fra Sørup ! which means you're just down the road from me boyo. On the topic of this thread I don't really think that being female is a cause for discrimination, idiots will be a pain in the ass whether you're male or female.

yup Balota is a sweet little spot for me nice and quiet

UltimateGentleman I think you and I agree on some points but just come at them from different angles. As I stated previously I don't want to see freeby generalised 'levelups', skill improvements etc just because someone has run around the map a few times and managed to stay alive for x amount of hours. Specific learner skills based on experience and proficiency I have no problem with in itself taking your example someone who uses a bandage once compared to someone who has used bandages hundreds of times or skinning an animal, the more you do it the faster and more proficient you become. Map and compass reading, terrain reading, stealth, situation reading, hunting and there are probably a few others besides that are purely player skills. The idea of any weapons based skill increase is a tricky one, we all know there are hacks and cheats out there that give infinite ammo etc; for example a guy with an infinate mag goes out where he is reasonably sure not to be heard and then spends an hour or so aiming through and shooting his weapon to improve his skill without forfeiting ammo for less weapons swing or whatever now has an unfair advantage in my mind wouldn't you ?

Not to worry perhaps next time take the brain out of neutral before posting there a good chap

just to be picky and because you're Danish ;) :D Single shot setting = semi automatic 3 shot setting = burst your idea of semi auto = fully automatic PS. I Don't hate Danes jeg bord I DK B)

I think considering the apparent age of this guy and how 'boring and lame' the game is it would be much better to unistall and go back to playing BF. The forums are meant for more constructive comments, critisisms, suggestions and ideas. Seriously you write a title thread and post like this and you expect people not to comment on how childish and ridiculous it sounds and also makes you look.

If you have a 75 rounds drum for AKM...
Legio23 replied to lordkalvaire's topic in General Discussion
Gibonez, I can't even begin to tell you how WRONG that one is !!!! even playing airsoft he risks a heart attack!! Do you know whats worse I don't think it is airsoft, the guy with the FN MAG looks like he has live rounds in the feed so that just makes it that much scarier. -

Holy crap! God forbid I ever have a guy like that in my patrol he'd have a hard time getting out of the vehicle let alone getting into a serious firefight. I bet he's glad he's not got plates and carrying full loadout. Fricking armchair wannabe I'm probably twice his age and ten times fitter lol  Love it -
Couldn't agree more, I play regularly with my friends when I'm home from work and thats how we play, help each other out and help out others if they are not a threat.

You are taking parts of sentences from what I posted and using them out of context, anyone can do that to create their arguement. Of course if people continue to practice something, generally they improve over time, I wouldn't take shooting as I've known guys who have been shooting for over 20 years and they're still useless but yes generally people become more proficient with practice I know I have within the different facets of what I do. What I did say was and this is where I oppose is any form of level up system or 'skill' system just because someone has read a book or survived x amount of hours and I also stated, which you left out, was 'but at least everyone gets a fighting chance to start with as its all about the player, not ingame advantages apart from equipment'. So once again part of a sentence taken out of context can be turned to mean anything. But again each person has the right to their opinion Plus in an apocolypse situation I think my particular skillsets would be very useful especially my aim ;)

No skills or level ups are needed in this game, the whole idea of the game is to create a sense of realism within it. Its trial and error not because you read some 'book' or 'magazine' you can suddenly make rockets or know aerodynamics, I exagerate but I think the point is clear. Nor should there be a skill or level increase because you have survived x amount of hours. One of the great things I enjoy about this game is its a level playing field, some people are quicker on the uptake or more skilled than others but at least everyone gets a fighting chance to start with as its all about the player, not ingame advantages apart from equipment. Is it fair for geared up guys to take out new spawns? I don't think so but its part and parcel of the game and everyone has an equal possiblity of being taken out by bandits or zombies but also the same chance of finding loot and other gear too its just how the game is played. Loot is luck of the draw simple as that, some guys get lucky and find a key piece of kit quickly others have to hunt around for it, same thing happens in the real world people. I've seen a lot of banter on this thread, people saying its boring just to run around and find gear, well sorry but in a real survival situation wouldn't that be what you would do? run around foraging food and finding equipment to better survive and defend yourselves ? So for myself it would have to be a huge resounding no to any form of skill or level up system.

Military hydration pack / Leg holster / Military bulletproof vest
Legio23 replied to skully172's topic in Suggestions
Couldn't agree more, we are dealing after all with what is meant to be a sovereign country which should, to all extents and purposes, have its own military and police. It then stands to reason that there will be military/LE equipment hanging around otherwise whats the point in creating military bases and police stations, plus in an apocolypse situation like this we would see a proliferation of this equipment as of course it would be used over larger areas not just confined to the bases. -

Military hydration pack / Leg holster / Military bulletproof vest
Legio23 replied to skully172's topic in Suggestions
Don't get that at all ? Surely after any kind of collapse their will be a proliferation of arms and military equipment spread around the population? It doesn't magically dissapear, we only have to look at countries in which there has actually been a collapse of regime and civil war; take for example Somalia, Iraq, Afghanistan, Syria etc and now Ukraine where civpop attacked military bases and police stations just to loot weapons and hardware. -
The Community's List of Suggested Weapons for Dayz Standalone (Version: 1.29)
Legio23 replied to alexeistukov's topic in Suggestions
Well if I find a weapon with ammo in it that I'm not going to be using or am going to dump I sure as hell strip the ammo out of it, if I could in this game I'd strip the bolt from the weapon too and dump it somewhere safe. Otherwise yes I agree it does seem pretty sensless to find all these weapons and not a single round in them, especially with an apocolypse going on. -

Why keep the hydration system military? you can walk into most sports shops or hiking shops and purchase them and the idea for them came from the sporting world in the first place. All the items are good to add though -
Totally agree with you I have at least 8 or 9 bags in my home, of which half a dozen are back packs and 3 of them are over 90 liter size. Really don't see where back packs or bags would be rare ? you could walk into any town and manage to find a back pack or at least a suitable bag. As for space, well, you should see what I can get into my 110l backpack without any real effort enabling me to be self sufficient for days and weeks at a time. I personally think that the back pack slot size is fine as it stands allowing enough room to carry certain equipment such as can opener or knife , food and water, spare ammo, binos, spare optic etc etc. If guys are happy to run around with nothing thats their decision. Personally I kit up in the game as I would in real life and would not really enjoy that option being removed. Survivalism is all about staying alive and using what is to hand not running round the woods with a swiss army knife and mud smeared on the face when there is the possibility of getting gear that would assist in that task.
