I'm not happy for this update because it improved things weren't necessary instead of adjust more important things or bugs that persists Bugs and problems already seen on tests servers have been come here......i wanna invisible tuna everywhere! -
Sorry i tought the contrary, my bad. Anyway i still think that defect on the rule still exist. These poor guys does not have anymore the server because they can't protect themselves from cheaters. Why shall i have a my own server then? Community and rented servers with lot of clans inside are the main source to have better in game feedbacks!

I can understand both sides, either the Dayz Staff and either the Admins that rent the servers But i want to side with the Admins for a few reasons. First of all I've been a beta tester on closed beta on BF3, a game completely different but I hope my words will have much weight. "Rules are rules, if you aren't ok with it, don't accept anything" ok...i've readed and accept! But now go ahead to my considerations... But here we are talking about "Renting a Server", that even if the leaseholder has to respect the rules, it's a source of benefit and profit for the Dayz Staff. -"Profit" because it's a 50 $ extra per month, equal to much more to a copy of the pre-alpha game and for sure close to the final price of the game will be -"Benefit" because Dayz staff might receive FEEDBACKS from ingame players, in particual those belongs to clans, and they can give serious reports about bugs, glitches or cheating abuse. Yes! because through people that are working on team, it is possibly to identify more easily the problems of the game, and through admin and working on group to identify if someone is cheating and "Refresh everything" through a general kick. ...General Kick because it's a problem of the game, there's no way to kick the right player So more than a not respecting rule, it's much more a defect on the form rule: Because if i pay a copy of the game and also a server rent, that is much more expensive than a copy of the game...You would like to be self protected from glitch abusers and cheaters. And as DEVs didn't improve enough checking system to verify who is cheating and not, leaseholders "SHALL" as most important source of in game testing, be able to at least kick everyone for a suspected cheater, because there's a defect on the form rules. An example? Tomorrow i'm gonna cheat on game, nobody will know who I am because if in the worse case I'll die, i'm gonna quit and being Unknow Entity.... But beside that... I get kicked with everyone on the servers and all people will FLAG the server. A man on wrongoing flag a server? What the?! Probably the other players can do the flag because they have been kicked without a reason. But the game is incomplete and full of defect. So that as DAYZ staff is no responsable for the losing of your char because of the status of the game, I don't understand why this thing should be justifyed, for abuse power admins? There's no responsabilty for losing a char but there is for who is leasholder of the server? If i want to make my server private "NOW" and kicking everyone to make an event on my server, with my clanmates, i'm free to do it"! These rules given by the staff shall be adopted once the game reaches a more advanced status. ADMINS, CLANS and RENT servers are the main source of benefit and profit....devs get money from them and also probably serious topics about suggestion and technical problems of the game, as things can be tested on many....Not like those hundreds of repitetive topics with ideas like "ADD A LVL SYSTEM PLS" "The single player of this game won't make the difference, but is the community and a self made group that makes a great game. If you don't give them a way to self protect themselves and instead they gonna be pouched, Dayz Staff will lost an important part of the community" Example? on these 2 pages i've read 2 groups won't rent anymore a server: -Profit lost: 600$ ( 50 $ x 12 months) ....2 groups: 1200$ -Benefit lost: People humor goes down, they will go play other servers without care how develpment will go on and how they can improve it, as they don't fell gratify of their efforts and not protected Sorry for my bad english, peace!

Ok this has more sense and i Agree with you. Even if i think that semi-auto snipers would be pretty annoying. As someone said in the previous page, would be nice if there will be some kind of forcing people to use shotguns as a reliable weapon to any situation on close range, and also because ammos are easy to find.

I'm trying to read at this many many times but "It has no sense"! You can't complay about numbers of snipers and being sniped and asking more snipers! What the hell are you saying?! You should say instead: "There are too way many snipers and sniper rifle loots and i would like there should be as less as possible!"... This has a sense!

Ye, but my fear is that everyone will only play the game for loot and camp as hell, pretending someone walking on your way to be sniped. Using a Mosin it's a question of skill....but if everyone will run for a dragunov it would be like playing a 5vs5 on Counter Strike Global Offensive and try to fight against 5 Scar-20 sem-auto sniper rifles which they are camping. And another my fear is spamm of grenade launcher, everyone inside a building behind a corner is dead. This because everyone will run for military loot and no one in the game will be anymore a common bandit or a survivor.

Any weapon would be good to see.. But my fear is that after all weapons gonna be updated, many and many and many people will play only with a sniper rifle and would be only a sniper game. Everyone will go to get military equipment on bases, will do server hopping on low population servers to find loots, and after that they will find a position to camp and sniping. So that as less people will hold regular firearms! And on a real post apocaliptic scenario i think there should not be lot of survivors with ACR, M4 and other stuff that you can only see in the movie NAVY SEALS.... My double barrel shotgun whole life! It's only a my opinion but: As many military loot will be added, as lot sniper rifle will be added....as long on a populate or quite populated server everyone will camp on a building or in the woods, pretending someone is gonna move... And if you die? First thing to do is going inside the insland and go to a military base and loot the stuff to compete with the others....and the clubhouse goes over and over again.

Update from today. A guy was trying to hit me with an axe inside a room....i move on the wall and strafe on him to avoid the hits....I'm shooting 2 times, 1 hit, 1 miss... he still run... Then i'm reloading while strafing....then i shoot again and 1 hit and 1 miss again Regular double barrel shotgun! Hopefully the 3rd hit came from my friend that was holding another shotgun So this guy has been shot 3 times on a maximum range of 3x5 metres (size of the room), and always able to run. Ya know that on Max Payne 2 was enough 2 shotgun hit to die on close range? :P then another one: Same room, another guy...2 hits on the chest, i've seen the blood for the hits but he was still alive....he climbs a ladder and i had to fire him 5 pistol .45 acp rounds to kill him...

To compare Dayz to a movie , you must consider at this game some kind of 28 days later... No army of zombies, just few infected don't trust anyone But more harder than the movie...

that's why i'd suggest for somehow feedback system to report people that play glitches and abuse of server hopping during fights. Won't change raise the time even to 500 seconds, dayz is a game that needs to be played slowly...5 minutes more or less won't change things. People are still there! As we are on a pre-alpha, devs needs at our feedbacks and somehow of report to recognise a player that is doing something wrong. This is needed as we can improve more accurately their development. I think devs can't stand here and read differents frustrating post about differents problems that confound their ideas of how to proceed. "Only because we are in alpha", once dead is needed a ticket to send to the devs that says: "How you died?" ...and you choose between "Probably cheating" and write your statement...or "glitch abuse" write your statement..... "Regular death (Killed on sight, tortured, starving, poisoned)", and "Server hopping"... It's a my incomplete idea! But something to give a feedback of each of the things you are doing is needed and distinguish the percentage of difference between cheaters, glitch abusers, regular deaths and server hopping....

Might be an alternative to teams don't have actually radios or else.. But i'm scared that people after that will all dress with military loot to camuflage and have a bandana on their arms... -
Or adjust just a few... But probably people will gonna adjust monitor contrast after they will see is not possible anymore on the game... so sad :(

News of today: Today me and a my friend we've did some ambushes. He was with the blaze 95 and me with the IZH 43 plus a sawed off on the backpack. First ambush: We've got a guy and we tryed to stop him without shoot. No way. I've shot him on the back at 20 metres, i was aiming to the upper part of the back.....2 hits from standing! I wasn't breathing and my aim was steady! Both shots hit the target because i've seen the blood after each shoot... ....Target still alive, broken legs! What the hell! 20 metres aiming right quite to the head and i'm breaking his legs? Isn't shotgun effective within 50 metres? Why i've shoot at 20 and i've did a 3rd shoot to kill him? Second Ambush: 2 guys sniped a newb with only a school backpack. Once they gone there to loot, my mate from a roof sniped them with the Blaze ...He got one...made him crawling. Second one missed all the time or probably hit one time but still able to run, he ran away and went down to a bridge to hide from my friend. In the meantime i'm sneaking behind them and i find both of them trying to bandage themselves. I'm shooting to the guy was standing from 5 metres with regular double barrel.....Still alive! I come outside, placing another shoot and killed him Then, i go to the second one could not move, instead of reloading i grab out the SAWN OFF and from 3 metres i've shoot him. Didn't killed! Seriously: A man was shoot previusly by a Blaze and bleed a few before getting cover, was still able to survive to one SAWN OFF shoot from 3 metres? I'm rosik because after that shoot he log out, Probably he lost his char because of bleeding again but thats stupid. At this point I might agree with you about that the spread it's fine and generous as it is....but the damage inflict by "some" pellets is less than the fists, and I'm not joking. -2 hits from the back aiming quite to the head, broken legs and still alive -Blazer hit, bleeding for around 15 seconds, then another hit with a SAWN OFF from 3 metres. It's...It's....I'm really not able to find the words for it. A Nerf gun toy inflict more damage....

I Tryed today to play 4 hours to test servers, for the upcoming update! But i've found these problems that forced me to rollback because of angry and impossibility to have some fun: - There are just few servers, Full, everything is looted and you die by starving - I can't test out some new things because i'm dieing by starving before it - Spawed 6 consecutive times around Berezino. - KOS on sight.....even without some roleplay, chatting, conversation, handcuffing, ....nothing! I've rolled back because unable to test the new upcoming things that have to be updated. This savage KOS, in particular done by people with a few stuff is counterproductive! Because all houses around are looted and the guy is shooting does not have that many things to the guy is going to be hit.....and can't barely loot something from the dead guy, as most of the stuff going "ruined". So that: No loots around, guys you shoots will make stuff ruined, what will you eat next hours? Chairs' legs inside buildings? I'm sorry, but i'm stating that who KOS too much savagely is just a faggot. Don't take it personally: but it's counterproductive! A more realistic roleplay, an ambush or an handcuffing could make you have more fun about the game. Plus i've probably met a cheater! That was night and i were on Berezino. It was pretty dark and i saw 2 guys with the lights up and i've immidiently crawl down and hide inside those shops with half shutter down. I was pretty sure they didn't see me because i was looking myself on third person, to check how much i could be possibly be detected, and I was moving with the back to the walls, to take cover as soon as possible and where i could have more shadows... So that, once i was inside the building with "ALL THE BODY INSIDE", one of the guy shoot at me and hit me BEHIND the WALL... ...Dead at the first it....distance 75-100 metres, an SKS or a Blaze95

Severs are just a few and most of them full.... Hopefully i've choosed one with 13/50 but when i began it was night....so it's pretty hard to see something, even if you use the web map is barely hard to move to the right way But i don't think if we are going to play to 100/100 servers things aren't that much different: for sure other guys will go out of the coast and they've already loot everything. So you gonna die of starving before fullfill your hungry. If main town are already loot, and people gonna be killed on sight without any roleplay, you gonna ruin all the stuff.....so that: Towns looted, towns inside island probably already looted, Killed guys: ruined stuff. What happens then? That the server absolutely need a restarts within 3 hours... I wasn't able to find some food neither by starting going more deep in the island, because i was starving, i spawned 6 times around berezino, and other people like me had the idea to go deeply and doors were opened. Plus being killed by someone without any kind of contact means: No loot for you, no loots for me because of ruined Results? Server need restart within 3 hours. And who's gonna say "GG you know what you're doing!"? The man which shoot or the man died? For me?...the man who dies off course... "Because as did 20 mins ago on Khelm (near Berezino), i'm "SMART" to stalk a guy, sneak behind him and force him to put down his backpack with a double barred pointed on his chest, and loot what i need without ruin" I use the word SMART because i've been warned for the word faggot without the meant to really offend someone

-Glitches zombie in the buildings -Fix some weapons -Add some sort of karma system, feedback or else....it's a pvp game, but there are too way Kill on sight without reason or a minimum of roleplay. I can understnd kidnapenning, ambushes...but being killed when do you show up your hands and neither receive a phrase like: "Die Paesants" it's such annoying....5 out 5 kills done in dayz are done by faggots. -
both of your tests guys now are more accurate now, but as already said by Gews, the double barrel "sawn off" version, has a way too much spread to be effective in any situation. There's a video in youtube at really close range that can prove it, but i can't "copy paste" the link... I don't know why. But you can watch it only by searching Sawn off Dayz. So the things are 2: Or a single pellet must inflict more damage Or both version, in particular the sawn off version, need a spread reduce.

News of today as you state 2 metres away: One of my friend was camping inside a building with a sawed off. He was waiting a guy that was about to open the door and he knocked him down at 2 metres with all 2 hits....the bad thing is that the first hit din't hit the target (maibe bugged?) , while the second yes and thank God he made the kill.... And again, Legio: What the hell, do you post me a paper with bird shots while in game shells have less pellets? Are you conscious of the comparasion are you doing?

damage of the pellets and spread of them is way too large... This can be proved simply by a video of a guy shooting to a player at 5...repeat, 5 metres with sawed off. Who gonna survive at the first it against that weapon?
