  1. An alternative suggestion to my earlier suggestion of the Remington 700P - the Remington 7615P: The Remington 7615P is an internationally popular pump action .223 caliber rifle that is marketed by Remington to supplement their world reknowned 870 series of pump action shotguns. Using detachable AR15 style box magazine, the Remington 7615 is popular in the civilian market in many European countries as well as Australia due it's rapid action and interchangeability of magazines with the AR15, whilst not being a semi automatic rifle and thus able to be exempt from many strict gun laws in these countries. The foregrip on the firearm acts as the pump, much like any other popular pump action shotgun or rifle. The rearward position opens the action, whilst the forward position closes the bolt, locks it and cocks the firearm to fire. Many police agencies around the world use the rifle due to the similarites in action to the Remington 870 Pump Action Shotgun, allowing ease of training in use. It is safely able to fire any .223 or 5.56x45mm NATO commercially available loads in the world and is reknowned for being highly reliable and highly accurate, whilst being fairly compact and lightweight. Much like the Remington 870 and Remington 700, the Remington 7615 is highly modular, with a wide variety of after market parts and accessories available for purchase - often times, also interchangeable with the Remington 870 or AR15 rifles, such as stocks, sights, grips, magazines, muzzle breaks etc. In Day Z, this would be a civilian and police firearm that can be found in Chernarus, and utilize many shared parts with the M4A1 and Remington 870 (should the devs ever follow through with their announcement of its inclusion in the game 2 years ago,) such as all the M4 buttstocks, sights, bipods, suppressors, flashlights, magazines etc. Furthermore, it can also utilize the hunting scope to function as a faster firing and lesser recoiled rifle than the CR527, but lacking the CR527's stopping power. It can be spraypainted to decorate the rifle or even help camouflage it. It will have a fairly fast pump action (similar to the Trumpet's firing rate,) but require M4 magazines to fully function. In residential and police spawns you can find 5.56x45mm ammunition and 10 round magazines, however, larger capacity magazines may only be found in military loot spawns. This rifle ultimately when customized to reach its full potential can form to be a fearsome sniper firearm or even a close-medium range weapon, but still is outshined by its fully automatic competitors such as the M4A1 and Steyr AUG, and likely to be surpassed accuracy wise by the bolt actioned rifles. Nevertheless, the versatility and customizing of the firearm, whilst also providing a fairly fast sniper/hunting firearm that isn't too uncommon, the rifle is to be feared if all the necessary parts and magazines and found to bring it to its full potential.

Spawn with random genetic predisposition to diseases to add variety

I think it should come down to character customization. You can't choose not to have a disability of some sort, but you can choose things like: -Blood Type: everyone must have one or it is randomized. -An allergy: can be to any particular type of food item, can be overcome with using an Epi Pen. Can be selected or randomized. -A predisposed illness: could be things like Celiac Disease (manageable by eating gluten free foods, consuming gluten products will cause minor sickness,) HIV (manageable by avoiding other sick players or reinforced usage of antibiotics and vitamins, catching other illnesses will be more severe,) Diabetes (manageable by consuming high sugar food and drinks or using insulin shots, low blood sugar levels can cause unconsciousness and passing out,) Asthma (manageable by using gas masks or ventalin, poor management will cause unconsciousness or accuracy/stamina problems,) or schizophrenia (the player may occasionally hallucinate and see zombies or players that aren't actually there.) -Age: you can choose your player's age, older players will have more skill in shooting (better accuracy, steadier aim,) but lack the health and fitness levels of younger players. -Skin type/race: Obviously this is already in, but this can affect how easily you can become hyper or hypo thermic, as well as punching strength, stamina and weapons discipline.

M65 Field Jacket vs. Tactical Shirt

I seldom wear Tactical Shirts. TTSKO has a much better camouflage pattern, similar absorbency, similar protection and larger storage space. Most people I see with Tactical Shirts from experience is someone who's been shot and needed a quick replacement for their ruined clothing. I don't mind going for the Tacticool Operator appearance with a Tactical Shirt though, sporting a fully decked out plate carrier, cargo pants and the blackest AK74 I can find. I also don't see M65s often, simply because they can be a little hard to find and don't offer the best camouflage patterns.
  4. Another compact civilian and police firearm to suggest to compliment the upcoming Glock 19, the Kel-Tec SUB-2000. The Kel-Tec SUB-2000 is a fairly affordable, and highly compact semi automatic pistol caliber carbine produced by Kel-Tec in Florida. A very basic blowback design, the SUB-2000 is reknowned for two of highly interesting features it holds. The first is that the firearm is foldable, providing an alternative to a take down firearm. The firearm folds in half at the end of the barrel, into a package only 16 inches long. The second feature is that the firearm can be loaded with various Glock, SIG, S&W and Beretta 9x19mm magazines, thus allowing the carbine to hold as little as 10 rounds to as many as 33 rounds or more in the magazine, which is loaded into the pistol grip like most semi automatic pistols. The carbine also weighs roughly only 2kg loaded, meaning it is highly lightweight and ideal for any shooter to handle comfortably, whilst being heavy enough to effectively control muzzle flip and recoil caused by the 9mm cartridge being fired. The Carbine is far from perfect however - the action isn't known for its reliability and the firearm isn't the most durable design either. The blowback operation causes the bolt's large mass to destabilize the rifle when firing from its movement. And whilst it easily outranges any 9mm handgun, its effective range is still only 150m, which means long range firefights are not an option with this firearm. It isn't that accurate either. Nevertheless, these cons don't outweigh the carbine's fighting potential at short-medium range engagements with its semi automatic action and magazine capacity, and it's ability to be compactly stored and concealed allows much more room in the pack of any hiker. In Day Z this firearm would effectively be a step up from the Trumpet (though it cannot use the hunting scope like the Trumpet,) as a collapsible/take-down firearm. Like the Trumpet, it can be disassembled/unfolded to store the rifle in a compact 2x3 slot package, allowing it to be carried as a backup that won't take up much space, or as a concealed primary firearm. It will also share magazines with the upcoming Glock 19, such as the standard 15 round magazines, the well known 33 round magazines or other larger or smaller capacity magazines they add in for the Glocks as well, meaning that these pistols could also be carried as effective secondary firearms to compliment the SJB-2000 at short range. It will spawn in residential locations (possibly in limited amounts in police stations as well) and be fairly uncommon. It will have very low recoil, and nice easy to use iron sights, but the 9mm cartridge still means that it will be very difficult to use beyond 100m with large bullet drop and fairly low velocity projectiles, meaning that the shooter will require some skill leading targets. It's damage output will also be fairly low. Attachments that may be fitted onto the firearm include the pistol suppressor, and M4 sights, much like the UMP. The carbine will also be very lightweight for a primary weapon, not hindering the player's movement or stamina much at all. Ultimately, as a civilian available firearm that can potentially use up to 33 round magazines, is semi automatic and collapsible/concealable, it will serve a very unique niche for those who like to use civilian firearms/stick to looting residential establishments, or sneak around with a lot of firepower hidden on them whilst posing as an unarmed, harmless bambi.

    Players dwindling

It's simple - the game is not releasing enough content to keep players interested. It's boring enough as it is having a huge map with only 50 people on and no zombies. It's a zombie apocalypse survival game with no zombies. The game was supposed to be in Beta by the end of this year - that is not happening. This patch has been out for nearly 3 months - no changes, with experimental nowhere near release. The only thing that will keep the game alive and stop it falling apart and dwindling in sales and playerbase is if the devs pick up their game and regularly release content and changes. They also need to stop splitting experimental and stable - the whole game is in alpha, it should all thus be experimental.

    Lack of everything

Go inland and loot residential buildings. Also look for wells and apple trees. These will be your best friends early on to deal with hunger and thirst. Ideally, for self sufficiency and non loot reliance (which isn't really necessary because food and water is actually really easy to find as loot anyway) get a water bottle of some sort, water purification tablets, charcoal tablets, rope and a knife to cut a long wooden branch off to make a fishing rod. That's how I normally survive off the land.

    Respawn Winchester

You fools, the Mosin 91/30 with PU Scope is where it's at.
  8. RPG's can destroy vehicles, which you currently cannot do at the moment, and the M249 can lay down suppressive fire on enemy positions or troops moving through the open, or mow down zombie hoards.
  9. The MP5 and UMP are far more common in Eastern European countries than the Bizon is, use ammunition already in game, and are more well known.

    My first kill

My first kill was probably around 8 or 9 hours into playing and quite a while ago now. I was looting the big shipwreck north of Berezino when a guy ran at me with an axe. I blew his brains out with my Mosin. It was a good day.
  11. Remington Model 700P The Remington Model 700 is one of the most popular and commercially successful bolt action precision rifles of all time. Produced since 1962, among police, military and civilian markets, with likely over 10 million individual rifles being manufactured in calibers ranging from as small as .17 Remington to .458 Winchester Magnum. Designed from the get go to be a mass produced bolt action rifle, the receiver is milled from round, cross-sectioned steel and the bolt has 2 forward lugs with the cartridge being fully enclosed to produce a tight lock on the cartridge. Almost all variants of the R700 use internal magazines ranging from 3-6 rounds, though a few exceptions to this use detachable magazines. They can be outfitted with various barrels and optics, as well as various stocks. The US military M24 and M40 sniper rifles were directly built off the Remington Model 700 platform, and even muzzle loading variants of the R700 exist. The Remington Model 700 is praised for its precision, simplicity, and versatility by many shooters around the world, and are popular deer and boar hunting rifles in many countries. On top of this, many police departments utilize them with marksmen to put down highly dangerous targets, and a locally produced copy rifle is even the standard sniper rifle of Indonesia, and many military variants are in American military use. However, it has also caused its fair share of controversy when a CNBC television reported that dozens of deaths and hundreds of injuries were caused by a design flaw with the original Walker triggers installed with the rifle, with many unintended discharges occurring with the rifle for no explainable reason. The rifles have since been modified with new triggers installed, and 7.85 million rifles were included in an agreement for trigger modification to settle many lawsuits and future legal actions against the company. Nevertheless, this has not largely affected the rifle's popularity and respect among the global market. This particular model is the Remington Model 700P, chambered in Remington .223 (5.56x45mm NATO.) It features a moderate 20 inch fluted barrel, an internal 5 round box magazine and drills and tappings to add optical sights to the rifle. This rifle will spawn inside Chernarus police stations and police cars and can be fully loaded without the need for an external magazine, with access to 20 round 5.56x45mm NATO ammunition boxes spawning in the police stations and police cars as well. It can also be outfitted with the hunting scope to increase its range, the ATLAS bipod to offer a stable platform AND a cheek rest to help reduce recoil. Whilst lacking the power and range of the .308 rifles, when outfitted with the scope and bipod attachments, this rifle can be a fearsome weapon for dedicated marksmen at most typical combat ranges. It will also prove to be a valuable hunting rifle, able to place a precise shot on unsuspecting game from potentially several hundred metres away. This rifle will provide marksmen a much more precise and accurate rifle, at the cost of the stopping power and range of the Winchester Model 70 and CR527 Carbine. It will also be more easier to handle and manuever than the Winchester Model 70, but not as manueverable as the CR527. To bring the rifle to its full potential also requires a bit of searching - the rifle, ammunition and cheek rest is found in police station and police cars, the hunting scope is found in deer stands and wooden towers and the bipod is found in military tents.

    Door booby trap

Yeah if it is a shotgun blast, I'd rather not test it, even if standing next to the side of a doorway. But it is a good idea that I suggested ages ago. Rope + loaded firearm. Then put it in hands, and look at door to set up. The only thing I wonder is how you exit safely without firing - perhaps the door has to be open and closing will make the trap live and ready to trigger?

    Door booby trap

So how do you get back in your shack safely to get back to your stash if the only door in is ready to dump 00 Buckshot into you?
  15. I foresee all these problems disappearing once stamina/weight is fully implemented. People can't run as far and this will slow the game down tremendously. They will also need to choose between gearing for war, or gearing for sustained survival. People will be running around with M4s and stacks of ammunition far less if they can't carry their basic survival needs without weighing 400 pounds. Their entire mentality and playstyle would have to change with it.

    Shotguns are a Joke.

If a gun is in your hand and gets shot, I think it should instantly be put out of action, or at least become heavily damaged.

I found 3 v3s in middle of the forest

Take one of the trucks and fill it up with the supplies. Your base now has a truck and the players who stashed the truck initially will hunt you down until the end of days.

    Best Sniper Gear?

When I snipe (which I don't often do as I prefer to use assault rifles) I generally if I can find the gear will go with: Primary: Mosin Camouflaged + Woodland Ghillie Wrap + PU + Compensator + 2x Stripper Clips + 40 rounds minimum ammunition (great for medium-long range combat whilst providing controllable recoil and an open sight to provide maximum visibility and ease of tracking a moving target. You do not need the top notch precision of a PSO or Hunting Scope unless you're at 500m+ all the time.) Secondary: FNX-45 + Suppressor + Red Dot Sight + Battery + 2x Magazines (try to avoid SMG's to conserve your carrying space, and honestly your FNX should be adequate enough to dispatch someone who gets too close that isn't suitable to fight with your Mosin. Certainly also do not carry a secondary primary weapon slung over your back either, as it enhances your silhouette and makes you easier to spot) Melee: Combat knife or stun baton (the combat knife is easy enough to store in military boots and the stun baton very quickly knocks someone out. Do not sling a melee weapon over your shoulder as they very easily enhance your silhouette making you easy to spot.) Headgear: DPM Boonie Hat, Woodland Ghillie Hood, or Green Ballistic Helmet (depending on how likely I think it is I will be shot at, the DPM boonie provides maximum camouflage as well as the Ghillie Hood which also breaks your silhouette and the Ballistic Helmet provides good camouflage combined with good protection and not affecting your silhouette much.) Face: Beige or Green Balaclava, or being an Asian character (the Asian character's skin colour blends in nicely with the terrain.) Torso: Summer Hunting Jacket or TTSKO Jacket (these provide the most ideal camouflage short of Ghillies for woodland and open terrain respectively.) Vest: Olive High Capacity Vest (high cap vests provide good storage space whilst not increasing your silhouette and providing decent enough protection, and the olive pattern blends in nicely with most camouflage clothing despite not being camouflaged as much itself.) Hands: Brown or Black Working Gloves (do not go yellow or beige - they stand out too much.) Legs: Summer Hunting Pants or TTSKO Pants (you need to keep the same pattern as your upper body with your lower body to avoid your shape being easily spotted.) Feet: Beige or brown military boots (the colour provides good camouflage and a space for a combat knife.) Backpack: None, improvised backpack or hunting backpack (no backpack is ideal as backpacks enhance your silhouette the most and are the most detactable feature of a player due to their sheer size and shape. You should be able to conserve your space enough with the rest of the outfit you have selected to avoid wearing one, but if it is an absolute must for whatever reason, only use the improvised backpack or hunting backpack as they provide lowish silhouettes and decent enough camouflage patterns and shapes that help prevent you from being spotted.)

    Shotguns are a Joke.

Shotguns are pathetic right now. A year ago, they were perfectly and realistically represented when it came to 12 Gauge Buckshot. Now, even players that are unclothed can shake it off like nothing happened to them. Sorry, but in any situation if you are struck by 12 gauge buckshot and within 40m of the target, you're going to die, or if you are wearing armour of some sort, you're going to be at the very least knocked the fuck out. Shotguns should be the undisputed high risk/high reward kings of close quarters and urban combat. One year ago when the MP-133 first came out shotguns were perfect. I was PVPing reliably with them in close quarters against geared players and able to win because I was smart enough to get within range and sneak up. Now, they're not worth the time. Not only are they difficult enough as it is to find in the first place, but the ammunition is uncommon and uneconomical due to only being found in 10 round boxes and only being able to be stacked to 15 round, and they are worthless pieces of junk anyway that any pistol, rifle or SMG is far superior to in all situations. It is sad ultimately, because shotguns are the best and most ideal personal defense/indoor firearms you can have out there, and also perhaps the most highly sought after and most useful survival firearm out there too due to their versatility and sheer reliability over any other firearm. Yet in Day Z, they are the least sought after firearm, they are one of the worst personal defense/indoor firearms to have AND the most unreliable piece of junk in game. Please bring back the old shotgun gameplay of 2014 where they were actually worth your time for players who know what they're doing.

    Shotguns are a Joke.

I had a similar instance a week ago with the MP-133 Stubby. I was in a construction building standing in a doorway and a fully decked out player comes bursting through the door with his M4 out. I point blanked him with the shotgun at less than a 2m distance. The blast showed blood everywhere, and completely decimated his vest, helmet, backpack and shirt, striking him in the upper chest, but he survived, ran straight past me, took another shot at the same range in the same spot, and proceeded to spray me down with his M4. If you're struck by Buckshot from a Shotgun and you're within 40m, sorry dude, but you're going to die. If you have armour, you may not bleed, but you'll certainly be disorientated and knocked the fuck out. Shotguns are meant to be a high risk/high reward weapon due to their sheer damage but short range. They should be the undisputed kings of close quarters combat, and my god when the MP-133 first came out last year that's how it was (I used to PVP fully geared players in the Northwest and win with it because I could get myself smartly to close range,) but now they're absolutely pathetic. Players take point blank blasts and walk it off. The amount of blood that splatters out alone should be a good indicator that the player is dead instantly. But no, they are barely scathed now.

    Finding Tents in 0.58

Been playing Day Z since Alpha first came out, however, I have not been able to find any tents since the recent patch. So,where do I go to find the various tents if I may ask? I've been building a base but currently it's only 3 oil barrels. :(

    Restore the Turovo Jailhouse

I do not believe it is necessary seeing as there is a Humvee there. Once loot spawns on miltary vehicles are restored, Turovo should harbour moderate player traffic. I always go through there if I'm in Svetlo and pass through it and the nearby towns north of Domo and walk out with heaps of starting supplies as it doesn't see heavy traffic though, and I'd hate to see it become heavily populated.
