AKM + PSO wins hands down. Zooms enough, low recoil, good damage, fully automatic and has a sustainable firing rate. It is everything good about the Sporter and SVD combined.

.45-70 is a very popular hunting cartridge particularly in the US because of its versatility. It's strong enough to take down all American big game, but the slow velocity of the round means it doesn't cause excessive damage to the meat, making it also viable to hunt practically anything (though the low velocity gives the cartridge a very round trajectory meaning zeroing is important.) Several other guns use it such as the Magnum Research BFR, navy line guns and converted Mauser 98s (much like the Repeater is a modern .357 variant of the old 1892 Winchesters that used .44-40.)

Marlin XLR .45-70 - The Marlin XLR is a four shot big game short range lever action rifle. It boasts immense damage but short range and low penetration due to it's slow velocity and rounded tip. However, within short range it does more damage than the .308 with less recoil and a twice as fast action, making the gun a nice close range alternative to the Winchester and Mosin.

I'd just grab it and run.

I've found both an M4 and an AK101 in .57 on a private hive. I just didn't pick them up, opting only for an AUG. It is only the SVD I haven't found, though I've found magazines at crashed Humvees. Haven't found an AKM either, but killed for one. >:)

I like this system, and it should be even more likely to ring indoors. It'll encourage improvised suppressor usage and make .22s have an advantage in that they're too quiet to ring.

This is just combining a Plate carrier and smersh vest with pack into one.

In a close quarters gun fight and I get serious render lag as I go to light them up with an AUG. I miss, and get headshot by a Winchester.

This is why Public Healthcare should be abolished.

It's not accurate, but that's not the point. It's having a clear view of the target as you fire. Recoil with iron sights breaks your sight picture.

You don't get a red dot, but it presents a much clearer target than the default sights still making it much easier to aim. At ranges you'd be using an FNX at you would just put the target roughly in the centre of the lens.

Rolling is incredibly loud. I tried and learned the hard way.

The Winchester recoils to hard I find to be useful in urban sniping. Much better to use a PSO AK or SVD. Or in my case, a Mosin with a PU scope. :D

Guns are not toys kids!

The only feature I would support is jamming on semi and fully automatic guns. If the gun becomes damaged or badly damaged it becomes a straight pull bolt action (or manually need to chamber each round.

Confirmed: 2 wild boars can be found south of Pusta. There is a big clearing as you travel up the road to Pusta with a deer stand on either side and a valley next to the right. The boars spawn on the east side of the valley on the hillside, providing a perfect unobstructed shot. My pack of five hunter/survivors also whilst regrouping at a well in Pusta were visited upon by a lightly armed survivor. Upon realizing there were 5 of us he ran for dear life for 5 minutes. The stressed out meat was awfully tough upon consumption but food is food in Day Z.

It seems you guys forgot about the Obrez, giving you a very powerful sawn off rifle. But the Mosin is now a more transition gun - use it whilst you collect 7.62x54mmR to use in the SVD later.

The Ballad of Cain - Craft an Improvised Stone Knife. Now You See Me - Craft a piece of Ghillie Clothing. Pimp My Survivor - Spray paint an item. Floating Life Line - Catch a fish with an improvised fish trap. Carrying Space - Craft an Improvised Backpack.

Simple changes that make sense that balance ammunition carry space and capacity whilst being realistic: .308 Winchester - Maximum stacks of 20 to balance with 7.62x54mmR. 7.62x39mm - Maximum stacks of 30 to balance with other assault rifle cartridges. Will also make drum mags less economical. 12 Gauge - Maximum stacks of 20 to balance with .308. 30 Round STANAG (Coupled) - Change dimensions to 2x2 to account for the fact it's two magazines and make the carrying less economical.

I loved where that second guy sees his buddy die and turns around and run back inside. XD

Only with the .308s and Mosin. Other guns let you get a few shots off first.

I wouldn't necessarily put the DB as the best for CQB, I think the MP5 with stock and Compensator might win, or better yet when it comes out the UMP. But it's hard to argue that having an instant close quarters death ray that takes up 4 slots to backup your Winchester is friggin badass.

Prison Island is supposed to be end game. It is a location where you can find loot beyond your wildest dreams, or come so far only to die a horrible death. It's time consuming and boring to swim there, and leaves you freezing cold and unable to aim on arrival. It's risky enough swimming with all the snipers on the mainland and island waiting for you, let alone you will bump into fully geared players on the island. I don't want fresh spawns trolling around and grabbing the first AK they see within 5 minutes of spawning and tearing players apart. If you want an island spawn, stick to Skalisty Island, and maybe put slightly more loot spawns there instead. Normally I can easily find a rifle or shotgun there, a few rounds and a sword as a melee so you'll be geared and ready to slaughter if you really want that. That being said more islands would be great - one with a small city and a bridge to it, one as a resort (civilian weapons and food and fancy clothing) and one that is rugged and mountainous and forested with good spots to hide tents and bases.

It is a good point, but I would only take it if the food values were balanced accordingly.
