Hello. i can see this thread have changed the subject of the OP. however, i dont have anything to say to the changing server-problem we have here. But i may have something to the player-ID dilemma. What if we had static player names ingame? With this you could recognize people when killed with the same name each time if this name was static even through your death. this would get a huge bonus if we also could customize characters before we play also. Its a lot easier to remember a face with a name rather than a face or a name - if you catch my drift. To the spawning problem when changing servers, would it be a though to have the map divided into several areas, spawning in the opposite place you logged out? Lets say you are on a server in "zone 1", and decides to hop on another server, instead of spawning right where you logged off, you spawn in "zone 2". Ofcourse you would need the spawning to be random within each zone, but you get the point. What would be the positives and negatives on this? Thanks.

Hello. You bought this game to play early, didnt you? And you have played it, havent you? So all your expectations have come true? I really dont get why people get so butthurt because its 15% off. Thanks.

Hello. id choose the FNX .45. Due to the supressor, magazine capacity and and the damage it deals. Also like the red sot sights you can attach to the gun. Also seems to me that the mags for this weapon spawns more often than other magazines for sidearms. thanks.

personal experience does compensate for saying something is shitty. I for one, have never had any trouble with neither of the cards, but i find my beloved r9 280x perfect for my use. Why is the ATI cards shit compared to nvidia? Elaborate. also, i dont have the bug in arma 3, just the SA. May this be a game-side issue? Have anyone tested the latest drivers and still had the issue?

Hello. I dont want to join in on the dick measuring contest here, but ive got some experiene with silencers too. Not with 100.000 weapons like mr.douce got here, but with 2-3 weapons in all. First off, im no expert at all, just got some thoughts around the subject individually. The three weapons ive used with a supressor is glock 22, .22 small game and the HK MP7, military modded. No matter how good your supressor is, you will hear he shot. The common mistake is to think a supressed weapon wont make any sound, which is not entirely true. The glock 22 doeast break the supersonic speed, and by that it doesnt really make that much noise compared to alot of other weapons. Still you need to protect your ears while shooting. Now, if we use the MP7, you will get through the supersonic wall as the muzzle speed of the bullets leaving the weapon have an outrageous speed. Still, using a supressor without subsonic ammunition with bring the noise down, not sure how much, but its noticeable if you have shot alot. Might actually be that the sound is different than without a supressor too. but with a .22 it all changes. Im in a weapons club from time to time, and we got this crazy american who im sure got a personal weapon arsenal at his home. Each time i see him, he got a different weapon in his briefcase. He had a modded sight and rail on his .22 which he used to hunt small-game. He had a integrated supressor on the weapon because he hunted on illegal grounds. When he was to fire the rifle, he didnt need the earclocks, because the sound was incredibly low. However, as eager as i was, i went to the target of practice on the range which was 150 meters and could not hear the shot at all. Later i moved to the 100meter mark, and could just about hear the whiff from the gun in a distance. I would have no idea where the bullet came from, only where it landed. the point: No matter what gun you are shooting, you will hear the shot at some level. Depending at what type of gun, lengt of barrel, kind of supressor and size of the ammunition, the DB will vary and the sound will change. You can get a gun to sing for 2-4kilometres, but you can also not hear a gun from 150 metres. anyone else got any cool supressor stories? I'd love to hear! :-) Thanks for reading :-)

Another first - did I just witness a zed kill itself?
Elgen replied to Death By Crowbar's topic in General Discussion
thanks for the answer. didnt know about the bug where you dont hear the sounds. I guess i gotta check with a mate to be sure both are hearing sounds before entering the NWAF next time :-P -

Yeah, zeds can be useful if used correctly. However, my question for you, do yuo know why the sound is not coming when the shot is fired from a given distance? Has this something to do with the rendering of sound ingame? I live 4km off a shooting range, and sometimes i still hear the gunshots if the wind is blowing is the right direction. have the devs said anything about when the sound is going to be fixed? -
Hello. Like someone is saying here, the crossbow delivers less damage than a M4 of any kind, but if you look at the damages a crossbow does vs a M4, i would not be so sure about which one is the worst to be hit with. for example, a bulletproof vest can stop 1-2 bullets at a given range, lets say 25 meters in this case, but a crossbow would go straight through the vest, and the man using it. this is in reality of course, and in a gun fight i would use a M4 over a crossbow any day, but if we look at the damage the different weapons does, the crossbow is pretty high on the list. imagine a bullet go through you, with a 5,56 mm hole through your body and a effective 10cm in diameter harm-range through. Then image a bolt with atleast 10mm make a hole through you, but not as huge harm-range as the 5.56. What would be worse? Of course the shock and energy of a bullet will be higher, but im not so sure the damage in itself would be greater than a bolt. Some of you guys seem doubtful about the damage of a crossbow, but check YouTube before qouting anything ive just said. thanks.

Foregrips - What Should They Do And How Should They Do It?
Elgen replied to Katana67's topic in General Discussion
Well, thats a nice to have a underfold stock too, but i have to say that a non-moveable long-stock in wooden furniture like the ones russia produced during the cold war is a beauty. cant reallu understand why they would go for a lootable attachment-stock on an AK, there shoulnt be any besides a PSO mountable scope in some version. However, im glad to have a rifle such as the AK no matter what version it is. Really hoping the sound and recoil is unforgiving! :-D Last thing, who the fuck mounts a plastic handgrip to a wooden-furniture based gun? -
Foregrips - What Should They Do And How Should They Do It?
Elgen replied to Katana67's topic in General Discussion
Hello. ii think attachments make the weapons more realistic in the way they exist. They should not affect the accuracy or the stats of a weapon, but they should have some effect on the sway and time used to aim. I was in the army two years ago. We used a modified version og A3G3 with no attachments and a HK416-n with moveable stock, red dot sights, foregrip, flashlight and so on. What my troop noticed is that we managed to clear buildings and so on alot faster with the HK rather than the G3. This had probably alot to do with the weight of the weapons too, but you can turn, aim, shoot and clear building rather faster with the foregrip and the red dot sightings. my point is, if we want a more realistic game, that the attachments in the game should have realistic features. Examples: foregrip should only affect the time used to aim and turn with your weapon in an aggressive stance. Not accuracy, damage and so on. Red dot sight should decrease the animation time from when you are in an non-agressive stance to an agressive stance. However, red dot sight would not improve anything else except the cosmetics of actually being a sight. stocks should have different values. If its a moveable stock, it should have lesser weapon sway in all states of a character. Prone as much as in a moving aggressive stance. However, if its a non-moveable short-stock, it would only have the bonus in a moving aggressive state, and the opposite if its a long stock. When it comes to the handguard i dont think it would matter that much. If you want a fully modded weapon you need some kind of railed guard. And color on the guard should be able to be painted. tl; dr attachments should not improve damage, accuracy. Only weapon sway and the amount of time used to aim. Also a little decrease in sway depending on what attachment and what state you are in. this is my view on it, feel free to tell the positive and negative sides on it. thanks. -
Not at all. Elaborate.

I think your opinion is nothing but laughable. What do you mean by not reflected? What do you expect of a game in early access that is not in this game already? What could be different in the developers motivation, and why dont you feel their dedication? And last of all, why do you want a refund for paying to be a tester in an early access game and not wait until full release? Havent you read the message which pops up at your screen each time tou launch the game? If so, why do you even make a post like this?

After lurking around for 1-2 months - you still amaze me, Irish. Irish for president, anyone? ;-)

Hello. So it started with me and 3 pals looting some houses just south of berezino. We started running over the field towards the construction site and get shot upon from the forest close to the water. We spot him pretty fast and decide to make a run for the construction site. i was geared eith a m4 without a mag, and had 6 rounds only. Another friend had a fnx without a mag but like 40 bullets. The rest only had melee weapons, so they were pretty much useless. The bandit engaged us from the field with an SKS, and had alot of rounds as he shot towards us constantly - even while running. My group goes up to the upper floor trying to get a shot on him. He circles the building for some time before i start going down to get a clean shot. To my disadvantage, he was behind some trees dogding the bullets fired from my pal still on top on the construction site. He tells me the bandit is reloading, so i start running in, weapon in aggressive stance aim to his head. The second im about to shoot, he slips away from my bullet and gets done with reloading. I see this and goes in front of the tree so he dont get a clean line of sight. A second goes by and he empties his magazine and he drops to the ground. Im really confused at this point before i could remember the thread about bullet not stopping in walls, but changing the destination course of the bullet. That was the only possibility of him getting killed. I was behind the tree, so he probably thought i would be a great idea to shoot through it. Evidently that was not the case. :-D

Scariest shit ive had to me is when i was looting NWAF for goodies in the barravks when a player logged in behind me while i was prone, checking under the beds. My heart banged so hard it hurt my chest while i pushed my primary wep-button way too hard and way too fast. When i finally got it out, i had already pushed it once too many, and took my m4 on my back again. In full panic i managed to leave the room and standing in the hallway seeing a third person throug the window. He sees me and runs toward the entrance while i got into another room. The logged in dude jumps out in the hallway getting shot 3-4 times and dies at once. The third man now entered the barracks starting to loot the dead guy. I went out in the hallway pumping 20 rounds right to his chest. Thought alot about this, was also my first character, so my nerves was extra tense back then.

I believe he referred to his name, not his skills. He was bragging, sure, but whats the point of taunting him? Shit, i really dont get alot of people on this board.
