What if you put some few server with No pvp and the rest with PVP? The problem would be resolved. Pussies go for non-PVP server and guys (or girls :D) with BALLS go for PVP server (PVP server are like 90 percent of all servers.) I see mainly the reason of no PVP. They just want to have a COOP with players which seems reasonable. But the realism is missing.

Yes. Scrap them. Simply for the reason that you should be able to choose your skin at start and for the realism. Why realism? I mean why would you show yourself as a bandit if you don't want to? So if you want to play as a bandit, you either choose to be honest and pick the bandit skin or take the survivor skin. And I hope you add some female models. But it's already in a discussion thread about this last one.

I'm sorry to say that you all who say "females cannot hold a weapon in their hand" that your ignorants. Here in Switzerland there are a lot of women who do their military duty in all different sections. I've seen a few but still some women who did their service as Grenadiers which is in Switzerland a special unit and really really not easy to accomplish nor to enter the recrutment. I'm for the idea that there should be female survivors.

Transformation between Bandit and Survivor
interceptor replied to acebane's topic in DayZ Mod Troubleshooting
I have a similar problem ----- Transformation from Survivor to bandit ----- I've murdered someone yesterday and it changed me into a bandit skin OK. I was surrounded by zombies and I was getting hit while I had to wait for being changed into a bandit (I would have died without any chance of defending myself). I left the server and soon as I rejoined another server, I was in the middle of the ocean with my gear but I guess it looses me items from inventory if i'm in water. Can you resolve this problem? -

Like a broken whiskey bottle? Lol sorry but I don't get what you mean by traps. Beartraps? In what situation would it be useful? Explain yourself a bit more please.

Headlamp or pistol/torch dual wield?
interceptor replied to Roshi (DayZ)'s topic in DayZ Mod Suggestions
I don't get it really. Do you mean torches should be like flashlights that can be turned on and off by L? I guess if you put it in the same inventory spot as the knife, you won't be able to do. BTW the torch isn't replaced by the pistol. You just need to drop the torch in your area and pick it up. Problem solved. The only thing that is annoying is that the brightness of your torch doesn't allow you to see further once you hold it in your hands with a handgun. -
Made a new bandit skin for you guys
interceptor replied to Mojo (DayZ)'s topic in DayZ Mod Suggestions
Let's get back to topic. How about if the red scarf is only given to players who have a big negative humanity like - 10000? I agree it's a bit too easy to spot but a guy with - 10000 humanity deserves it and I guess he can even handle it. -
Hello guys! This isn't a complaint or something but if you check the leaderboard on the mainsite it's taking ages to load. I don't know if it's because many people are watching or downloading from that site. Also another thing : For what or who is the login bar on the main website? Is it for players to see your character data?

In such a survival game, where everyone can do whatever he likes to do, the very best method is to be careful and don't let you be seen if you know there are players around. If they've seen you, you're a prey. Best thing is to send a message if anyone is around the location if you don't want to travel alone. If nobody answers, you should be very careful and ready your weapon. It doesn't mean that you should shoot everyone you see in that case, it means to be ready for conflict. If somebody answers to your message, it doesn't mean he's your friend. Quite the opposite, he can take you into a trap. Mostly, if people are in danger like a dozen of zombies are following them, they're likely to answer in chat or to accept your help. Don't even try to make such movements like salute or lower your weapon. Think about someone low on food or water or whatever for a reason he needs to kill you. He simply profits for that occasion. Another point of view : A survivor is now alive for about 15 game hours. He has the very best equipment you can get. He has 2 options : 1.- He will continue to have fun at surviving but is EXTREMELY careful about enemy contact. He'll be likely to shoot you since he's scared to loose all his hard earned equipment. 2.- He's getting bored. That's the most dangerous moment ... Something personal (My point of view) : I'm not a bandit nor i'm a griefer nor racist ... But, if it happens that you encounter someone that isn't willing to cooperate with you and you're not sure about his actions, it is recommanded to either shoot him or ignore him by avoiding sight contact. Same goes for people who are not talking your language which guides to impossibility to communicate with each other. He isn't useful for you nor are you for him. If you're in a bad situation like being short on supplies, being not sure about his next actions, you should better kill him in some situations. But again that's my opinion :D

Date/Time: Anytime What happened: The flare won't light up Where you were: anywhere What you were doing: I held a torch in my hands and threw another one to see further but that one didn't light up

I found a possible fix to avoid getting stuck at loading screen. I'm not sure but i guess the server are bugged or there is something else bugged (mod). I've gone to another server (Not EU server but instead a RU server) and it took about 30 secs to join the game. I hope this works for you guys.

I really appreciate your incredible work behind this mod. I guess that was about 5 release of hotfixes today. I'm impressed :exclamation:
