Cross post from reddit, but I thought it should be here since more dev's are lurking around these parts. So, im not exactly sure if this just slipped by as an oversight or if it is intentional that you can somehow learn a players name through ancient magic by checking their heartrate. While this isnt some huge gamebreaking ordeal it is rather 'gamey' feeling. If a player wants to lie about their in game name and conceal their identity in direct chat when meeting someone new, they cant. Recently /u/Ayzerr posted a video on the subreddit where we attempted to blend into a larger group. However, he was ever so slightly too far away to see how they were able to verify I was not part of the group. Mid sprint, one of the members check pulsed me and immediately called me by my name in direct chat. You can watch what im talking about here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OMzEHf4dUDo?t=1m50s (yay self promotion) It felt slightly ridiculous that they didn't have to do any sort of check internally, and immediately knew who I was. So my question is, is check pulse (especially while someone is conscious) intentional? I personally don't think you should be able to gain so much information just by scroll wheeling on somebody. It leaves out a lot of times where you could attempt to impersonate someone else, when meeting someone in direct chat.
