Just had a little "thats alpha for ya" moment.. Was running around in a town suddenly I'm getting hit by a invisible zombie.. so I run like mad and notice I can't change my weapons no more.. So I log out.. and Log back in minutes later bleeding like hell and with a painfull leg :/ So of course I banaged myself. but now i'm stuck being energized / hydraged / healing.. but with a painful leg.. painkillers didn't work.. how can I fix my leg? its not broken (I got a split on me as well actually xD) Will my leg fix itself because i'm "healing" ?

New zombies mess me up, how do you win?

Using the pipe wrench I couldn't hit anything.. that thing is so SLOW.. inside buildings is indeed a bitch as well.. Though with anything sharp like a farming hoe or a axe (whatever kind) and use 3th person it is all good.. Can't hit anything in first person though. those things run so fast and fly around I just keep losing track of them xD -
Another day on, still alive.. got shot though was unconcious for a while but somehow I survived. Luckily I just found a complete first aid kid with an IV blood bag and everything so got some blood off a clan mate to get some color in my screen again =) Got like 300 ammo rounds on me, feel like a complete armory.. though when I got shot most of my clothes.. and 80% of my food/water supply got ruined :( so work to do again.. keeps it interesting I guess.

Added -nosplash -skipIntro -cpuCount=3 -exThreads=3 will see how it goes :) might push a little more out of my ADM Phenom II X3 720 Black Edition =)

Yea don't feel bad.. Don't know how long his stuff going to be there though? I take it dead people despawn after a x ammount of time? so no idea if anybody is even able to pick up the stuff and read the note ;)

What gets me more is that you didn't go into houses but somehow you have water :P I think you are missing a few bits.. But yes, that is DayZ for you.. I'm glad that I mostly found friendly people who actually helped.. Then again I've been killed twice by bandits already.. nothing you can do really. thats life, and dead.

Oh... DayZ doesn't use multicore?... I got a AMD triple core with 2.8 Ghz a core.. kinda pointless if it just uses one :P *edit* Didn't fiddle around with the cfg (yet) don't know if I'm going to. But did find the topic and added "-nosplash -skipIntro -cpuCount=3 -exThreads=3" to my startup.. we'll see how much that gains.. it at least knows i got 3 CPU's now.

Got all geared up again.. backpack.. some food, drinks a m4 with some ammo.. oh and the most important, a can opener =) Yea this game is pretty fun.. though still never been to electro or any real big town yet.. keep spawning way far away from them.. though seeing how hard my computer handles even the smaller towns I doubt I want to go into a real big one :P I should deffo put the settings on low all the way before I try that.

Thats why I joined a clan asap.. so I have a group of people I can and do trust.. Though I already met some pretty friendly people, even one who gave me a pistol and gave me some tips and food.

Yea, just met up with 3 others from the clan.. had a blast running around helped a few noobs.. then we got cornered into a building by some guys with even better gear.. and we all got killed because somehow they ended up shooting through the walls :(

Have this same "problem" but not only with empty servers.. had the same thing with just lower population servers. Could be my connection though.

tbh.. if you get an SSD.. you should put your C on it.. IE run windows from it... that is going to improve the performance a lot.. having an SSD only as an extra disk is a little pointless in my humble opinion.. As far as I know a lot of SSD's come with tools to do just that.

Maybe I'm stupid.. but when you connect to the server... you see wich server right?... Why not just change server and just connect to the same one? that said.. I got no answer to your real question :X -

Just played the game for the first time today. was trying to be careful and what not but kept being suprised by zombies spawning out of nowere on top of me.. or following me through walls.. seems like buggy as heck xD All I do is run from magicaly appearing zombies it seems.. -
Hi, I'm Ron. Been looking for games like Dayz for a while now. And after watching MANY Youtube movies about DayZ I decided I might give it a go. Just have a bit of doubt if I should right now because it is still alpha and I don't have much play time available as it is.
