  1. Never understood why we have 12,000 blood when you essentially become cannon fodder against any infected at 9000. My experience is pretty much the same as yours, any time I've had to fight a zombie at less than 9k it's resulted in being knocked out and killed in short order. I'd frequently hear my friends bitching about the same thing every time they'd drop under 9k, so it really doesn't feel like a very low probability. Then again, they seem to break legs just as often as they did before the nerf too so who knows.

    Who the fuck?

I wish people were as hard to kill as krtshv implies; there probably wouldn't even be war anymore. It wouldn't be worth the frustration.
  3. I ask because I've hidden two vehicles on two different servers far out of bounds, and thus far it's been 3 days and they still haven't been despawned. I decided to undertake this little experiment after my attempts at combing the woods for a few days beforehand failed to find a single vehicle. I've a feeling a lot of people realize the 6 hour despawn timer isn't working and are still hiding stuff out there.
  4. Because I wanted to test if the despawn for out of bounds vehicles is working properly. Did you read anything in the first post? They despawn if unused for 7 days no matter where they are. If they're out of bounds, they're supposed to despawn after 6 hours. It isn't working, though. Yes, you can see the edge of the map marked with a big black line when you get close and no grass or trees grow beyond that point. It will be obvious that it's out of bounds when you see it.
  5. ... what? The vehicles I've hidden out of bounds are one tractor with one gun in it, and one bicycle on a separate server. My truck and my regular camp are hidden in bounds. Please jump to conclusions more.
  6. It must have gotten stolen or despawned due to a bug, then. I've had a camp very near the edge of the map for weeks now and haven't lost any vehicles from it. Anything within boundaries isn't supposed to despawn unless it isn't used for a week.
  7. I'm not terribly inclined to trust somebody who registered two minutes before the one post he has on his account, but believe what you will. I might post a picture of the tractor tomorrow when it's daylight, not that it would prove anything.
  8. Vehicles both still there. I'd say it's pretty much confirmed that vehicle cleanup isn't working.
  9. Day 4, vehicles still haven't despawned. Items are still inside of them. I forgot to mention I put down a tent on one server as well, which is still out there - though I believe those have to be manually purged by the dev team, so I wasn't expecting it to go away quickly.
  10. The FN FAL sucks, honestly. It's basically a shittier version of the M14 with ammo that's impossible to find. The only reason people are so obsessed with it is its rarity.

Bizon PP-19 SD or AKS-74 Kobra

The Bizon SD is terrible. I've seen players take 10+ rounds in CQC and manage to survive. You don't really need silenced weapons; if you get zombie aggro it's because you made a mistake.
  12. I laughed out loud when I read this and then saw your avatar.

    PMC = better graphics?

The default survivor skins use a texture from Private Military Company. The camo skin uses one from British Armed Forces. I'm not sure which the ghillie suit is, but I'm pretty sure it's a DLC too.The textures on players will look pretty bad without them. Like Nintendo 64 level. I don't think anything else should look any different dependent on your DLC, though.
  14. I see this train of logic brought up all the time in these threads, and it makes no sense. Humanity would have driven itself to extinction thousands of years ago if the average human being was as bloodthirsty as you suggest. Homo sapiens are social animals and most will seek the company of others. Even in places where society has actually broken down through war, famine, etc. the "brigands" who prey on others generally form groups. Only the truly sociopathic would run around solo killing everybody they saw without a moment's hesitation, and they likely wouldn't live very long before being killed by one of the aforementioned groups. If law and order broke down tonight, would there people who would use force to get what they want? Yes, no doubt. Would there be a lot more murder than there is now? I'm sure. Would your neighbor suddenly decide to come next door and blow your brains out because of that one time you blocked his driveway? Probably not unless he was already a psychopath and considering doing it anyway.
  15. On behalf of the entire community, I'd like to thank you for posting this thread. I'm sure all those who come here with the intent of posting negative feedback will see it and abandon their efforts, and that this is not in any way further adding to the problem of pointless threads cluttering up the board.
  16. I don't get why so many people are completely opposed to the idea of building a shelter. Seeking shelter is a basic survival drive. The survival purists on this forum who think it's realistic to live moment to moment without trying to establish a safe haven or some kind of supply cache are being hypocritical. People without a plan would be dead within a week or two in the event of an actual societal breakdown.

    You Assholes

95% of the people who post on this forum acting like hardasses would be wormfood within the first couple of days, I'm sure.
  18. I think it's a cool idea, and I'm looking forward to see the implementation of it. The game needs some long term goals to work toward, as is now it's very simple and becomes boring within a month or two. There's going to be an almighty shitstorm kicked up by the "RAAGGHHH ME HATE CHANGE! ME WANT EVERYTHING STAY SAME FOREVER!" crowd when it comes out, though. Guaranteed.

    Definition of the word ENDGAME

Rocket has said he wants the construction of these self-sufficient underground complexes to be the ultimate goal for players who have survived for a long time. He might add more, eventually, but for now they're the planned end game content. And as the OP said, 'end game' in video game lexicon doesn't mean you're done playing once you've completed it. It's simply something harder to attain for the player base to work toward.

    Definition of the word ENDGAME

He's said he's looking to add difficult, long-term goals for players to strive toward, like building underground complexes. That's pretty much the definition of "end game" as it pertains to video games.

    [UPDATED] Weekly Stats, PvP Trends

I'm not sure this really proves anything other than that there are a lot of new players and they're not very good at the game. If Bohemia stopped selling ARMA 2 tomorrow and the influx stopped, you'd probably see the death-by-murder rate climb up into the ninety percentile range within a month or two. Most people who have played longer than a couple weeks don't die to infected unless they get really, really unlucky. Once you get further north than Pavlovo it is mostly "death match". There are exceptions, but in the month I've been playing I've met one friendly guy, and that was probably only because he was outnumbered 3:1 and was told as much when we got close. It doesn't bother me, though. Confrontation with players is really the only end game there is to partake in at the moment.

    AK74 vs AKM

    Hence "very few".
