It's quite good. The only real downside it has is its rate of fire; you'll be at a pretty bad disadvantage against somebody with a proper assault rifle if you miss the first shot. The noise doesn't bother me much, zombies are easy enough to shake inside cities now.

I wouldn't feel too bad, I'm pretty sure about 90% of the player base is duping en masse using this method now. Honestly, tents/containers need to save automatically on exit. No idea if it's possible within the confines of ARMA 2, though. I'm guessing not, since it seems like a fairly simple fix if it were.

Very few weapons will score one shot kills with the desync being what it is, but the AKM will still get the job done in less time.

I've been looking at range tables for the DMR and a lot of them list 5-6 mil dots even though there's only 4. How does that work? Are you supposed to estimate where the other mil dots would be, or does the crosshair count as a mil dot too?

That's a pretty cool video. The DMR doesn't have a PSO-1 scope, though.

There an easier way to do this with a Steam version than having to change the launch parameters every time I play? It's kind of a PITA.

You have to manually disconnect to properly save your character to the hive ever since 1.7.2. The server I play on crashes a lot and I kept getting rolled back to my camp and losing items until I started doing this.

Logged on a few minutes ago after being unable to due to the loading bug earlier and our camp is now completely gone, no tents, no vehicles, nothing. Thought it was a faulty restart but my tent I had on another server is missing now too. What's going on? The forum is too full of bitching, I can't find anything useful. Did the servers get wiped as a result of this rollback?

I must be a bad person, I'd feel absolutely no regret blasting a 5 year old if it was trying to tear my throat out like a rabid animal.

I've noticed that even playing on servers where I have 30-40ms ping, it's taking upwards of 2 or 3 seconds for hits to register properly against players. This isn't just a small handful, either, it's almost every server I play on. I was surprised I didn't see more about it on the forum and was starting to wonder if it was just me, but my friends have the same issue and I see it crop up all the time in YouTube videos; especially ones which show sniping, where it's not uncommon to see the shooter blast somebody and said survivor running around frantically for a few seconds before the bullet finally registers and he drops over dead. I realize this is alpha and the game will be buggy, but I'm wondering if this a problem that cropped up with DayZ or one which is inherent to ARMA 2. Can it be fixed within the confines of what Rocket is allowed to do with the engine? Because as is now it's pretty damn bad, getting into a firefight with somebody from less than a couple hundred meters is a crapshoot because even if you nail him in the back a few times, he might manage to spin around and blast you before his lag shield fails and he dies.

But, you're in the minority. If you're looking to make money, and every company is. You're not going to lower prices on anything that is selling as well as Arma is atm. once sales start to drop, then you put it on sale to get the 'cheap' people that wanted it, but didn't want to pay $5 - $10 more. He's not really in the minority. I know several people who are waiting for sales, and every thread about DayZ on every gaming forum I visit has lots of people asking about sales.

I've found a CZ550 one time in the three weeks I've been playing, and in that amount of time I've amassed a whopping 4 clips for it. Not sure why so many people think they're common, the spawn chance is less than 1% even in barns.

Does restarting the game fix this? I ask because I get artifacts like that on occasion from other objects, not always wire fencing, and a restart fixes it. The problem might go deeper than the fencing itself, though it does seem much rarer from other objects.

It can still fail, it's happened to me. The only surefire safe way to do it is by dropping your primary on the ground, equipping the other weapon, dropping it on the ground, picking up the primary, putting it in your bag, and then picking up the other weapon you want to use. Yes, it's a massive pain in the ass to do so, and is the main reason I only carry around one primary weapon at a time.

I stay away from the NWAF. Night vision goggles really aren't worth the bullshit you have to put up with to acquire them.

Topic. Still get the option to repair it with parts, but I can't get on it as a driver. Is it possible to fix it, or is it toast? It looks completely destroyed, no wheels, etc.

I've read about how easy they are to flip over even when hitting pebbles, but I found one yesterday and was stoked I had engine parts on hand to repair it. It's still all fucked up though; it clips through the ground constantly and gets stuck running at 1 km/h, and the thing starts having an epileptic seizure every time I dismount. I've given up trying to find a flat enough spot to hide it where it won't bounce out of camp or into a tree within 10 minutes. Are they all like this or am I unlucky?
