    A very convenient feature [Suggestion]

    I agree and hope that it will be possible to team up with you friend before even joining in any server and that would allow you start together at any random location it decides to take you(like normally). It is frustrating to die and have to travel for 15-60 Minutes or more just to get started with your friend. For a lone wolf this doesn't matter, but for players who play together with their IRL friends, it does. ^ Just when you start together as fresh spawns.

    Do you think Zombies should be headshots only?

    I agree that headshot should kill zeds at one go, its just realistic that way. Otherwise they may lose limbs, or even be cut half, lose arms and still roam for you. :P
  3. You can kill 4-8 zombies easily without even getting hit, just roll around and hit them with firefighter axe.. Gosh. The difficulty should come from their numbers, not their speed or hackzor wall skillz(which isn't intended I know).
  4. I like the current way which is that there is no statistics. The freedom and no particular competition over anything, unless you want to do your own competition. Besides, this could be presented as feature for invidual servers in the future, once customization of servers is at better state. Same for any other similar features.

    Respawning Loot Prototype

    Why won't you just refresh the loot periodically and have decaying system for dropped items..? Hopping can be prevented to some degree once you get to have your own databases for each server (meaning that you won't share same character for every server). Other then that I guess increasing the time to join new server after hopping would discourage it even more. Every X hours: Loot system - Checks if the spot has loot - If it has, then it refreshes it by changing it randomly from loot table. (Chances for no loot of course as well, in case that happens and the spot has loot, then nothing happens.) - If it doesn't, then respawns if there is no player nearby. (Talking about few meters) Decaying system If item is dropped by player, it'll expire after XX Minutes/hours. Picking it up resets this timer. These would do the following: * Changes loot periodically if it has been left untouched (ex. being "trashy" loot) * Removes items dropped by Player * Prevents "waiting" at the spawn for loot * Doesn't prevent hopping. But, should it be prevented by this system anyway?

    As far as I know, cars were mainly fixed at gas stations during that time. (in the game)

    As someone already mentioned, there could be historical remains from cossacks era 1700-1900year. They wore swords similar to this: If there was museum building, perhaps.. Perhaps.. :)

    Casino / gambling house, wealthy households/mansions with garden left untreated, enterable ships at city harbours, natural caves, museums

    Zombies in the next stable build....

    Zombies should have much less aggro range. However, I agree that they should react to sounds(like now they do, perhaps even to nearby walking/doors opening), especially to a gun shot. Because, its cool if you have to take in consideration whether its safe to shoot or not. And the scary part about zombies should be their numbers and how they corner you. Not their insane damage, speed or fighting capabilities. SOME zombies could also be quiet when they approach you in order to surprise you, not like the current way of running 100km/h behind you. The Walking Dead has good zombies!

    Bunch of Good Features

    Hello! I've been playin DayZ for few days now and I tried to come up with some new ideas that may blend into the current game. Some of them may have been discussed before, although I tried to search for them if they have been suggested. So, here is the list: Contamination You could contaminate wells, small ponds or even water bottles with zed blood/other deadly chemicals, lasts 15 to 60 Minutes or more. Drinking from contaminated source would rapidly kill you unless you use antibiotics. Water Purification Tablets could be used on bottles (and in large amounts even in wells)? To check if the Pond or Well is contaminated, you'd have to take small taste/smell or take a example of it with some sort of test (obtainable item). Canned Food Feature Dent/Chipped/Minorly Damaged Canned Food may no longer be edible as the air may get in it(true). Simply a risk to eat them.. Perhaps, some of the Canned food could be in this state especially once the Hunting/Cooking is implemented because we get more sources for food. Crows / Seagulls Black crows are common sight where ever is trash or anything to eat. I'd like to see them squawking in abandoned cities and dumps/landfills. Perhaps one more additional food source for hunting while not the most "high" quality meat, quality may vary from "contagious" to "edible". Seagulls should be somewhat seen especially at the shores. If fishing is ever implemented, they'll definately create the right mood. :) Rotten Animal Carcasses There should be some rotten animal carcasses in wild as the times are quite fitting for that. Disguising Taken from the Walking Dead series, but wouldn't it be brilliant if you could avoid zeds temporarily by covering yourself with their blood. They wouldn't recognize you as human for a while. Perhaps the effect of it would drop overtime and make zeds become more aware of you again. Of course it shouldn't become too convenient. Local City Maps Every city would have chance to spawn local city maps that lets you view the city/village and its nearby area. I am aware of DayZ Internet Maps, but it ain't that cool. :) Breast/Shoulder Badges There has been some discussion how recognize your ally or friend, perhaps these badges would work that out, they could be customizeable in your character creation OR just plainly lootable and then you modify them. Radio Atmosphere Features This wouldn't be controlled by player in ANY way. It would be more like atmosphere to certain houses/cars where radio's have been left on since apocalypse. Example: You go near police car and it triggers a broadcast from radio that where some guy/girl is looking for other survivors while being very scared.. Perfect for atmosphere, right? Or you go to house where there is emergency broadcast from outside world describing the situation where you are in. Stuff like that. :) Plain Map/Paper If you have pen and this Plain Map/Paper, you could draft down the current area where you are located into it. Imagine if we would split the Whole Map into 12 pieces for example. You happen to be in one of those pieces and you decide to take action onto the Plain Paper (if you have Pen on hand) and "Draft the Area". After this you would select the Plain Paper on your hand and go to 1st Person mode, and you would see that the piece you are in is now mapped/visible to you. This could be considered as "Mapping" and the changes are permanent into the Paper, ex. someone could shoot you and be happy for the map you have drawn for him. Signs/Large Paper If you have paper and pen, you could draw message to this and lift it up, ex. Your character would be holding a sign or Large Paper between his two hands which consists of words "Don't shoot!". --- Thats about all of it for now :) Feel free to discuss.

    For the sign/paper? I guess so If you had free hands for it :P But, it could be limited to use of words and only couple words in 1 line.
