I see gathering supplies for myself at the moment to be just a means of having a full stomach etc. Sometimes when im running low i will grind for food, drinks and mical supplies incase I stumble over someone who needs help. A couple of weeks back i left some food, cans of drinks and a fire axe in one of the buildings near a spawn with a note saying good luck and to watch out for elektro as there were bandits on the hospital roof.

Brilliant will do buddy, im just out at work at the moment, well some people call it work but im a gameskeeper, get to ride quadbikes and drive my jeep around farm land most of the time...i call that fun XD

Thumbs up to that...many times I have engaged someone who has rifle, tried to counter snipe him, moved to a different location and still havent been able to get a good shot on them. Best thing to do as you said above is to fall back and move to a different location. I manily only go after stuff that i really need i.e. food, water pumps, purification tablets medical supplies to help others out.

Taking your time, using tree lines for cover, question everything around you, Go by gut feeling most of the time, never jump the gun, make sure if your going to fire at someone its a kill shot and make sure that he hasn't got any friends laying in waiting for you. Play the game how you think it should be played, make decisions like you would if zombie outbreak happened

great to hear...when i was talkign to the others they did say that it would be great that you had to make them and not just find them...makes it a little harder for everyone then

Such a shame that you feel this way buddy, but i can see why with 200 hours of game time...atleast we can all agree that you are a dedicated dayz player :)

had a friend who decided to start a fresh and he gave me 2 batteries that he had spare...that guy has everything...i think he might have a problem where he hoards everything XD

well iv traded some for food and drinks on the way when people have been desperate...had to trade some for a blood testing kit the other day to help out a guy who was attacked by bandits, patched him up and he went on his merry way :)

saving most of it for people who i meet and need some, to trade for other supplies or just for friends who pop onto the server who need some extra...you can never have enough ammo :)

try something different...break away from what you are doing i.e. if your a bandit start helping people instead etc

Well would you believe it, I actually turned the walkie talkie on and after around a hour someone spoke. A nice gentlemen from Sweden {his english wasn't the best but after while i could figure out what he was saying} anyway we met up and helped each other out, walked away and gave each other a little wave on going on out separate ways. Will be using the walkie talkie more often now

I bought dayz on two facts. I enjoy the game {as a mod} and was very excited to play the alpha and be part of something that is still being created, with rocket actually taking notice of what people want its fantastic. 2nd reason is the price, me being from the UK and the game only being £19.99 was a great price for something, in the end, will be worth playing and having great times on.

Ummm tough one this...I think it can be a mixture of things when it comes to it. I.e. if your character is starving and there is no way you can find anything and you stumble across someone, do you either kill on site and loot all his gear or be friendly and see how it plays out and hope he will give you some chow. This is the great thing about DayZ.....there is a different type of game play every time you play. Yesterday for example, everyone i came across were out to kill me or anything that moved...i didn't dare show my face for to long in cities like cherno/elektro. But after switching servers later on i came across some awesome people, exchanging food and supplies, helping each other out. I even ended up helping with a rescue mission as two bandits had kidnapped a small group of heroes friend.
