If we could build walls and gates and the like, and keep zombies for spawning by having fires, a town could be built. I don't want to have prefind areas for players to build a town. I'm thinking of an area outlined by walls or barricades, built by the play to encircle an area where they keep lit up so that zombies and undisired players alike have a difficult time getting into.

But I don't want to survive... I want to live and thrive, rebuild my home town defend it and try and get things back go a form of normal. Like what I would do in a real situation like this. That and I want to have a city or area secured where zombies can't spawn as like a safe haven. For new spawns, and the veterans alike to meet up share supllies, get away from the fact that they had to kill their own infected family, group up, create a city that is only successful because of people working together to do more than survive. But instead you suggest that we have to keep looking over our backs, for zombies and players alike, constantly move and look for basic necessities almost constantly and never try and create a sense of social or community interaction outside of your group of 5-6 guys killing everyone they see afraid to go near other survivors.

Nice, my first press vest was prestine and at swaf, I had only been playing for a few hours. A few days later, I died at that same airfield by a sniper and his friends (they new guy I was grouped up with got away unharmed). So basicly my first press vest didn't save my life, it helped my by a distraction to save another's.

I ussualy log out in buildings, may not do that anymore... Joined a sever with one other person in it, and guess what room they where in... They ended up dying because they thought they could win playing chicken on the roof of a fire station.

So to add more personalization to the game and as something that possibly utilizes the steam workshop, add in some new loot items as decals and stencils (as well as different spray paint colors). Decals -would be mostly created by the community and would have to be voted on by the community before being submitted to be approved by a staff member and then into the game as a loot item you could find. -quality would affect more than just the look of the decal, seeing as a decal is just a sticker the lower the quality the decal it is the less likely it is to stick and stay sticked to what ever gear or vehicle it is attached to. -the object's quality it is being applied to would also play a role in how well or at all if it will stick to the object Stencils -again a community designed loot -when used with a can of spray paint on an object it will paint what ever pattern it is on the object in the color of spray paint you used -stencil quality will affect the paint patterns cleanness and potentially if there is over spray or not -the quality of the spray can will affect overspray, paint drips (or running paint), and the how splochy it looks (ie. Some parts have to much paint and run, other parts don't have enough and under color shows through) Spray Paint - It would be nice to have the basic color pallette (red, orange, yellow, green(a different green that's in game), blue, purple, white and gray) to start off with, with the ability to mix colors or layer colors on items (ie.add a layer of white then a layer or 2 of red to get a pinkish color) This could be useful for helping further personalize your gear, get your mind off something other than the fact your family just turned into zombies and you had to kill them (and watch them die again), and to allow groups to make it more reconizible that they are a group. Some Ideas for both stencils and decals I can think of of the top of my head include - A Red cross (like for medic) (I'm imagining getting a helicopter and painting a red cross on the side, or even ballistic helmet to show that you are someone who will hopefully try and heal any injuries you have) - skull and cross bones (nothing says bandit or don't f* with me like I a skull and crossbones painted on your stuff) - maybe some Russian symbols and text - military style lettering (just stencils) (and people are already going to do immiture things anyway this way we know to kos the guy with penis written on the side of what ever he has) but I was mainly thinking like clan tags and such - Nation symbols like UN, idk US star, ect. - Can of beans (probably just a decal) - flames (because who doesnt want to ride a bicycle with flames on it while holding a m4 (or better yet a m4 with flames)) This is mainly a rough idea I had it would be great to hear what people think

My issue is that they can catch up to you... These are people that are infected and dead... Wtf they doing catching up to a a human in prime condition... And leaping 15ft like its nothing.

I don't encounter zombies that often and they are hardly a issue when I do incounter them... Except for that one female zombie with speed hacks...

Good work, they even gave me a spair jacket, as both my jacket and pants where ruined... to bad i got killed an hour later by some random group...

I usualy have my axe out or fists, I only bring out my m4 when I'm with my outfit, or if I hear a player and they don't respond to me calling out to them.

I don't walk with my weapon lowered, will have to try see if I notice it.

Motion sickness, you need something to tell your mind that feeling like your really not moving. I can't watch minecraft videos actually...

How about use raw input, your head and sight moves with the mouse, then the body moves baised on physics. So a heavy weapon with a player standing up and not ads will over shoot then return to where your looking if you make a quick movement, working in the way a human actually moves. So twitch qcq with a heavy gun (like an lmg) would be more unwieldy feeling than an assault rifle and such, forcing players to use weapons for there designed roles...

if someone did that I would hunt them back down...

they should rework how they handle colors and textures before they get to far in, if paint was just a layer added onto the texture in certain areas, it wouldnt experience the lag and issues your mentioning, and it would allow for decals and stencils (I have a thread on it)

So they would have to add in some new classes? And rework how textures and painting is handled now? (Idk what language they are writing it in and haven't looked at the code)

Whats with the stories when on sleep meds, I take some (melitonin) and end up staying up till 3am and get 3ish hours of sleep...

Half the time my group I run with looses me (still new and I tend to check all the loot I see). And they don't wear masks (other than the dust mask or what ever its called). And of the 2 people I ran into so far haven't tried to communicate with me, they didn't shoot me and I didn't shoot me but its intristing when you hear someone eating underneath you and yell out that they need to say something, and don't respond for several minutes of me trying to talk to them...

Well then I need to switch me gear up a bit, I wear stuff that will protect me from being shot at and that will help hide me. Looks like the only way to not be kosed by a normally friendly player is to run around in a yellow rain jacket no head gear, a red backpack and yelling g in the mic, as not to accidently sneak up on someone. Also, if you ran into me with out me noticing you getting closer and didn't call out, I would probably hit you with my axe... Witch I always have out despite having to much m4 ammo. Now if I saw you first I would drop into cover and say something.

They allow you to make bad puns when putting them on... And in general.

I got a press vest, does this mean you won't shoot me. And if my press vest wants pristine I would totally get a pin and paper and run around asking people for their stories.

They also "fixed" gearception, but its still there. Some players use it (I do actually have 3 back packs but that's just because I haven't cleaned out all the stuff I find that I think I may need. [i'm 15ish hour in and don't know what I need to keep okay that and it takes me several minutes to access my gear that I have stored away) I'm not happy that I have to use a glitch to carry extra items but when I see a pristine press vest and already have a pristine vest with like 8 slots that I use, I'm gonna find a way to keep both until I can find time to give away stuff or figure out what's worthless)Additonaly how do you report bugs, I haven't figured out the bug reporter thing yet (I found a way to make it so you can't get out of handcuffs you can't even wiggle your way out)

I considered saying RBY first but alot of people will not want to have to apply 5-6 coats to get a color they want that looks good (remember each use is 25% and if the can isn't pristine there will be some dripping or splochyness) and white would be need to be included.
