Video is private. Since I can't view I can only assume you got shot while spawning. Which has happened to me. Your characters body is actually visible in world before you fully load in. If you had logged out inside of a building or in a high traffic area then this is not very unlikely at all. -

They actually reduced the enfield noise level recently (1.7.1.5?). Part of the reason it is so loud is because it has such plentiful ammo. Also, with the new patch (with noise reduced %50 indoors) I feel like this won't be an issue. -

It is your ping. Specifically, the milliseconds of delay between you and the server. Anything below 200 is okay, below 150 is normal, below 100 is almost completely smooth.

My opinion: In an apocalypse situation, one should not be scared of other humans, it should be the greatest reward ever. Everyone should be scared of the zombies. Reality: This is a game, so there is competition. The competition is who can stay alive longer. By killing others, you boost your rank. The Zombies are a slight nuisance at most and are often just a distraction. In the future: Once the core gameplay mechanics are ironed out, I am sure Rocket will crank up the difficulty factor. For now, we are just testing the core mechanics Rocket is adding to the game. -

ProTip: All those flares you see and never pick up? Grab some. Throw it to an area you want the zombies to go, away from your destination. Wait for a minute, then crouch through town. Re-apply as necessary.

Why Does Everyone Complain About Being Killed

They complain because a character can easily eat up 20 hours of time (in my case) and having it reset just because someone else wants to be an ass-hat is like playing Skyrim for 20 hours only to have someone erase your saves. I don't mind dying, but some people really just enjoy the thrill of staying alive. Also, stop posting duplicate threads. Please do a search before posting a new topic. -
Honestly, I would start by not going to Elektro. Second, I would not risk my characters life for someone who can't handle themselves in such a PvP intense area.

In my experience, when you are near somebody your map will sync with theirs. When I am in a group and we are close to each other, I can place a marker on my map and it appears on everyone else's. However, if they are too far away then it wont be shared on their map. This has to do with the game automatically placing players you don't shoot immediately into your "squad". -

^ This ^ ^ The latest patch has been causing problems with players characters reseting the inventory. I suggest you do not play 1.7.2 unless you are ok with losing your gear often. -

At this point, it works. For me, when server hoppers get the drop on me, I DC. Because there is no reason they should get rewarded for exploiting. -

I avoid people whenever possible, because I can't trust them. I have killed two people, one was self defense, the other was fear. Kill 1: Stary Sobor Military camp, was raiding the tents when two server hoppers spawned on hill and shot at me. I hid in a tent with an M4A3 CCO I had just found and waited to see what they would do. They started shooting zeds with their silenced weapons and then one approached the tent I was hiding in, makarov drawn and aimed. I kept saying I was friendly in side chat, but he didnt respond. When he rounded the corner, I dumped a mag into his chest, he shot me twice in the chest. His buddy DC'd. I felt bad but it was justified. Kill 2: Climbed to top of Devils Castle, turned around to see a guy with ghilly suit and an M249 looking at me. I was so scared I dumped a mag into him without thinking. I actually lost sleep over that one. -

I managed to find morphine last night! Only to be judo-chopped by a zombie through the wall of an apartment building and it break my leg :P (Morphine/Auto Injector spawn in deer stands!) -

2 Bandage + Firewood = Splint. Splint slows your move speed for 1 day ( or however long ), then your bone is healed. Morphine/Adrenaline removes splint slow. EDIT: Herp, just read post above me, and I was feeling all creative :( -

I respawned for 1.7.1.5, had a blast. No problem with not having a starter weapon! Keep it this way. Found two ALICE packs in the first building I entered! Food/Water Shortage: I love this. Since we no longer degenerate food/water while offline, it really makes the scavenging worth it. Having only a single coke and orange drink gauge is quite the motivator to start looting! I have been finding TONS of food and very little water (drink) though... Hatchet Bug: When wielding a hatchet (axe), if one picks a crowbar up off the ground, one continues holding the axe, your inventory says its a crowbar and that you dont have an axe, and if you drop the crowbar then your inventory shows a hatchet again as normal. Not really a deal breaker but kind of confused me when it happened! :P
