Back then I was using FRAPS, Now I use Bandicam. Seems to run a lot smoother and the files are a lot smaller than fraps. Ahh Thanks SHR!. Yeah, I wasn't too concerned about quality back then. But it's kind of neat makn vids if you have some good footage. I hadn't played dayZ in awhile, I'm glad I did because I met a great group. We turned into a mob of 6 up in Svetlo. Several hours later I had recorded a decent amount of action, This video was just an intro to the core of the group. Gotta love those moments when there's a bunch of strangers that form a mob.

Trying an idea for an Event. It is still pending to be a for sure thing It will be on a public Hardcore server, The server owner (If around) will post a MOTD to make anyone who joins the server aware of the situation, They may join in the hunt if they wish. - The server used will NOT be disclosed until Event day. But feel free to set yourself up in positions before hand. Come fully geared and Attempt to ambush me where you feel is best. But whoever manages to recover the code safely is the winner. It's quite regardless who killed me. Team up with anyone you wish and betray them whenever you like, because remember... There is only 1 winner. IF I'm killed you will still have to eliminate my guards, They will stand guard for 30 minutes near the body without touching the code. IF nobody has reached the code in 30 minutes, My team will grab the code and Evac out, Saving the code for another event. IF this event continues up until the point of a server restart, Everyone will just rejoin ASAP and continue forth. I'm currently fishing for Participants. Having me already added to Steam friends will assure IF you acquire the code, You can redeem it promptly before you get killed and it is stolen from you.. Possible date of Event will be April 20, Beginning @ 4:20pm Pacific time. IF I GET ENOUGH PARTICIPANTS I WILL BUMP THE PRIZE TO $20, I would like to see 10+ people for that. Active community members, Youtubers, & Twitch broadcasters get slight priority for entry should I get too many people. Excuse my crude map... If you're interested or have any ideas or comments let me know. I'd like to start making events like this more often. This is a pilot Event, So I based it near the coast. So I log in for the 1st time today on Hardcore. 3 minutes later the server shuts down, Ok that's fine with me. I get a free server hop. I join another server seconds later, 500 second timer... Touche Devs. You win. I'm going outside to do yard work.

$0.02 This new timer is bullshit devs. SOME of US have LIVES, Girlfriends, Jobs, Gardens, A house, SHIT TO DO. So if we're playing and get a "Lost Session" or join a server then get kicked by some asshole abusing the server owner rules; WE the normal players get slapped on the wrist for it? So you think we want to wait 500 seconds. Yeah, right... Fix other MORE important things other than screwing with wait timers. Server hoppers aren't THAT big of an issue, my god. Who made this 500 second timer? I'd like to slap him across the face for wasting my time. Community; A. If you're complaining it fixes ghosting (maybe you fucking camp too much? think about that one :P) B. If you're complaining it fixes server hopping. (people are going to get gear regardless, A noob with a weapon is STILL A NOOB.) This game is going to be in ALPHA for how much fucking longer? And you're incorporating these timers now? WHY, WHY, WHY THANKS for literally wasting HOURS of my accumulated time in the next year + Should I decide to keep playing the whole time. End Rant

Ahhh my current video card doesn't support it (450gtx). I'm actually going to buy a new vid card very shortly, In the 700 series somewhere. I just switched to bandicam from FRAPS, So that was a slight improvement. I guess that built in program is the next step, Thanks for the tip, and thanks Esuoh! glad you liked it..

Any fool has long known about this fix for joining the same server. My complaint was toward their current fix. So take a hike with the assumptions.

Server hopping is for noobs. I have over 600hrs or so. I think I know how to kill a fully geared player with a pistol. Or better yet knock his helmetless head out with my fists to get my gear fairly... JEEZE.. ... .. . .rofl >.> My original post had several valid reasons for hating this beside server hopping like the common folk.. Disgusting creatures really, Hippity hopping around servers, Like they were a bunch of savage bunny rabbits...

I've seen some pretty terrible "1vs4" videos the past few days... I'm re-bumping this, THIS is a real battle... lolz.

If people don't think 8 minutes is a long time you should get more things to do in your daily life, and that small 75 year life span of ours doesn't last long. 8 minutes is A LONG TIME... accumulate that over a year +? ouch.

Certainly sounds like a great idea, Sounds like something I'd like to try for a future scenario. Now the only problem that's been pointed out to me (because I've had similar ideas as you just there) Is that if someone grabs the code, They can try and server hop to the secret location and hop back. >.< I figured the best thing I could do to combat a problem like this was to have it nice and simple (at least for the 1st Event). Whom ever is the 1st person to blab that code to me via Steam chat is our winner. IF you can do that and someone happens to kill you while you've just told me the code, You still win. This is only the 1st of hopefully many Scenarios, So hopefully we can do something a little more complicated in the future.

lol. Thanks for pointing that out, durrr moment! When possible the Guards will put MY backpack containing the Code on the ground, Should I die. So it will not despawn.

Glad to hear we have a few people interested, Come the end there might be 10+ people after me. Bare with me as I'm hoping this all works out, We're not %100 a go yet. Things are going good for a 1st event though. To clarify, Yes the code word will be on my character, Written on a piece of paper. Read that code and message it to me on steam. 1st person to do that wins. Anyone interested: Message me your Steam ID in Forum or add "Gordon Freeman" so we're friends before the event. I enter Electro as a fresh spawn. I meet a couple noobs and quickly we part ways, I soon find a fully geared player running in the fields, I go investigate and find a new buddy. 3 minutes after I meet Velo he trusts me with a pistol and a single bullet in the chamber (he didn't have a mag). Soon after Velo is rendered unconscious from a sneak attack and I manage to take out his assailant with the single shot. Luckily the lag didn't get me killed... We go on to killing 4-5 more some what hostile people. We were in Electro for about 40 minutes, I cut it down to 12 minutes of fun. That was a fun day ^.^
