I still cant seem to get my map to come up... Do you even have one in Stand Alone?

Im just curious. I the owner of StaandAlone and just wanted to know, do you start with the backpack only in the mod or the regular game as well

Cool guys, thanks for the advice, and its standalone, not the mod... As for my map, Every time I bring it up its just a black screen. Ive tried lowering the resoultion down to the minimum and still, no map... its just hard to play without it. Not impossible, just hard for me.

Im not able to see the indicators on the right side of the screen showing you your statur. My map comes up as a black screen as well,... I am also experiencing problems actually eating the food I find, and I cant seem to find water anywhere... is it in bottles or a stream or what? Any advice?
