1. M4 is horribly innacurate and its damage sucks. But the mosin us too accurate...I have fired one... 900m shot is...near impossible IRL. The m4 in this game on the other hand is a glorified 9m its DMG sucks. 2.agree 3. Agree, why does a crow bar which is pure steel do less DMG than an axe? There is a game called Metro Last Light. In that game you fight for survival in a post apocoliptic world of chaos inhabited by mutated life forms and aliens. There is a part of the game where you are outside and have to use a gas mask with limited filters while trying to find gas to start a little raft motor to escape. It gets darker and darker..the darker it gets well...let's just say the freaks come out at night. There is an overwhelming sense of fear and dread as it gets darker and your flashlight gets low and the filter timer runs out... DayZ needs this. Imagine if as it got darker...the zombies got worse...more and more came out to play..the fight to survive gets intense.... KOS and PvP becomes irrelevant when you are forced to team up to survive against hordesffighting for shelter fighting for that last flicker of light. That would bring a depth to this game that would leave people breathless and shaking..but craving more. Adrenaline sells.

When I die... I run to high pop area and find a good melee weapon and a pistol or a sawed off... I bait a bandit... and take his gear. Its the easiest way to gear up. And the most fun.

Rare loot being more common at night is a good idea. I think also that night should be forced on the players. Its their game. Not ours. Daytime only servers need to go.

Its not about stopping 12 yr olds. Its about depth that the game needs. And if there were hundreds of zombies...firing shots off at people would be a pretty bad idea.

I am a sniper by trade and experienced hunter IRL..but in game when I scavenge I use my fnx or magnum and I have the majority of my firefights against bandits in close quarters with pistols. The bandits tend to miss to much with the m4 I have had guys empty a whole 60mag on me and hit me once lol. The recoil is terrible. While they are spraying I put 3-10 controlled shots to their chest and dome. Really..with a pistol point at chest..spam mouse button..target dies. The low recoil is awesome and easy to shoot targets while movie ng and straffing.. try straffing and moving while shooting with the m4 its terrible

If you make only headshots you can get stuff not ruined.. kos is still childish. KoS kiddies are my breakfast.

Killing another player for ruined gear is pointless. A full modded pristine m4 isn't even worth it especially when you can kill just as fast with any pistol. The current m4 is just a glorified pea shooter

If 500m away is a challenge then you may have some security issues.

Bandits are scrubs. My mosin kill count on murdering thieves from over watching fresh spawns is so high the notches on my rifle look like a new form of camo. I protect the innocent. That's my code. Being armed does not mean someone is hostile.
