    Agreed. Killing people, force feeding them house chemicals, breaking their legs = OK. But painted pictures of dicks = TOO MUCH. I don't see the logic here...

    Could be a fun addition but yeah you'd have to get really close to use this. Perhaps spray cans could have the same weaponized effect?

    I fully support the idea of free drawing with spraypaint and I was also very disapointed when I wasn't able to. And when discussing the "abuse" this could lead to: how much more than regular graffiti painters can gamers abuse this? Sure there'll be a few male hens, Richards and some profane language around but isn't that very realistic when you think about it? Sure, there isn't much use for the paint other than aesthetics but to me it seems weird to implement a thing and then not being able to use it for the thing it was designed for originally. That's like implementing guns that everyone knows don't work. Also I think there should be a great variety of colors other than black and green paint. You know you want that pink mosin!

    I want overgrown houses, schools, industrial areas etc. Maybe not the ones in the big cities or the ones in the middle of plains but I definitely want villages or lonely shacks and mansions somewhat reclaimed by nature.

    Yeah other people could free you with any sharp objects but how would you get that out of your backpack when you are crouched with your hands behind your back?

    Bad handcuffs are sort of already in. Plastic zip ties would be awesome to have though. Like handcuffs without any keys. Could also have other purposes same as rags for splints or used to tape magazines together.

    I suppose you're right. Would also give people incentive to hold people up to find out where the key goes to instead of just KoS and then standing with a massive treasure in their hands not knowing where the locker is :)

    It's a very cool idea to add some sort of treasure hunting like this to the game but I don't fancy the ideas of being able to change the lock and having safe storage options since it adds too much security for one person, especially if the loot can respawn while the (unique) key is still in your pocket. That's an infinite spawn of awesome loot for you right there. I know it should be a great and rare thing to be able to do this but that is just to overpowered. So either there should be a random, rare spawn of multiple keys to the same storeroom or no respawn of loot while you still carry around the key and having looted the place. Or reaaally slow respawn on the loot. But finding rare keys to a locked away treasure like a storeroom, fancy mansion (or a locked container in a harbour or industrial area) is a very good idea!

    Beans for you, good sir. Also, how about arm slots (one for each arm) for attachable pouches, bandanas, belts (for looks) and/or perhaps a waist slot for gun belts, more bandanas, normal belts, shirts/hoodies/jackets (tied around the waist for looks or saving inventory space)? Would give a very "survivory" or post-apocalyptic look if you ask me.

    I think this has been discussed in quite a bit of threads already but yeah it would be cool to implement. Would also have to include the soaked 'debuff' so people would be freezing in cold weather while soaked, regardless of outfit and perhaps add the possibility of cooling yourself down to a normal temperature, again regardless of outfit, on the hot days while being soaked.

    PVE

    I partly agree with you on this point. I've never been much of a PvP'er myself but the open world and zeds attracted me to DayZ. The PvP does however inflict a sense of uncertainty you would definately find in a post-apocalyptic world so it's a defining factor of the game if you ask me. I don't see why PvE and PvP-servers shouldn't be implimented at some point though. It would attract players of different types and people who want the KoS-thing could just go play on the PvP-servers. No need to obstruct the PvE'ers from doing their thing imo.

    I'm definately on board with this suggestion! It is kinda flat when you die atm; especially because it seems to be ocurring quite a bit. But I agree with the people who said there should be an option to turn it off or customize the frequency of the pictures taken so people who live uneventful lives don't have relive their inadequacy...

    Useful books

    The problem with this is that once a couple of people have read the useful books they will all be on the interwebs and the 'useful' books will become obsolete once again and people will stop reading them except for RP reasons (or if you just fancy the stories I guess). To me, the idea of a Skyrim-like learning system makes more sense in a game because you have no way of learning the skills until you actually read the books and the knowledge dies with your character. But we're talking realism vs. what works in a game here so I doubt that everyone will ever agree on the 'right' way of doing a thing like this. Edit: ... so basically what tatchell said. Another idea could be recipe-like books that would for example grant you the ability to combine items to craft more advanced items within fields like base-building or medicin. Or maybe things like you aren't able to make a splint without having read the book first? (granted, it should be a fairly common book).

    Imho endgame could start with base building. Cooperation with other players could result in larger bases than the ones built on your own but would then also attract more zeds (like a large base had a wider "aggro range") and as bases became larger they might also be known to bandits/bandit groups against whom you might also have to defend the base. These things could be entirely player based (except the zed aggro-thingy) and would also give players more safety through being less vulnerable in a crowd, having places to stash goodies and would be a great base for some RP/PVP action. As I see it it would also help the current KoS "problem". Now I didn't play the mod so I don't really have an idea of how base building worked there. But as I imagine it, you should have the option of building either bases in existing houses which is easier to do but more likely to be discovered as they are on the beaten road. Or you could build a base from scratch anywhere which takes longer/more materials but is less likely to be discovered. All of the bases should imo be made from crude materials to make it more realistic. Just my two cents ;)
