DayZ Bondage Simulator 2014

Pretty much everybody has had this experience. There's a camper using third person on the roof of the hospital, the fire station, or the schoolhouse, and you decide to try and climb up the ladder to kill him. However, he heard you coming, so now you're completely defenseless on the ladder. I think you should be able to use secondaries on the ladder but with restrictions to aiming (Not straight down, not straight behind) and increased recoil.

The person on the roof would be abusing third person too by going prone and looking around the building without being seen. I guess it's just karma for abusing such a game breaking part of the game. I only play on first person servers, so this doesn't matter to me. The gameplay in first person servers is so much better; no more forest fights where both sides just hide behind a tree and look with third person, no more times in cities where people just hide on top of a roof and look down with third person.

Yeah, my friends and I also noticed the chalk or whatever drawing in the grass. Reminds me of the Nazca Lines. I'd be interested in finding out what it is.

I don't think many people know about this place. I took a hike in the area north of the NEAF, saw many mountains; it was a truly amazing experience. But the most amazing place I found was the area north-east of Guba. If you ever get a chance, go there. I got lost in this area for 10 minutes, it's a maze of huge rocks.

I don't think it would be too hard to program items to be damaged based on where the clothing is shot. You could just select a 2D area on a 3D object (like a texture) to be an "item damage" zone for that specific clothing.

First person only or else DayZ Standalone will be filled with people camping prone on roofs of buildings looking over the edge with third person and then standing up when there's a target. And that just ruins the immersion and gameplay

They need to add RPG-7's to the game, or else helis are pretty much impossible to shoot down. The only decent weapon to destroy helicopters currently are the m240 and mk 48, but that'll be extremely hard with anything other than a littlebird. Even if you manage to shoot out the main rotor, the pilot could still land it safely quite a distance away. However, I've played a LOT of Arma 2 and most pilots don't know how to crash land their helicopter.

Third-person ruins a lot of gameplay in DayZ. Here's how to win in a gunfight: 1. Turn on third person 2. Hide in a tree 3. Wait until you see somebody run past you, while they can't even see you 4. ???? 5. PROFIT!!!! Broken glass is supposed to be a nuisance while driving a car, but now with third person, nobody gives a shit about it. Want to scout out any area, but don't want to give away your location? That's fine! Just go prone on top of a roof! Prone while sniping but still want to be aware of your surroundings? That's fine, just use third person and you can see people sneaking up on you easily! Want to ambush somebody when they go into a room without them seeing you? Just use third person and look around a corner! (especially in Elektro church)

fucking stupid how the fuck does a weapon that shoots .50 cal bullets take 3 shots to kill somebody and how could you even find the gun and ammo for this thing in rural southeastern europe

k so i was playing dayz and i was in the supermarket loioting toilet paper and then i had to take a shit IRL and thats when it struck me what if u could use toilet paper to make bandage and balance it out there should be a chance of it being used toilet paper in which you get infectedv when using i and think 2 ursewlf holy damn i just dressed my wound with used toilet paper, what am i, some kind of fucking wierdo so u get infect and a lot of shock and pass out thankds

For those with access to beta testing of the standalone, is third person enabled on the game?

Because I'm banned from twitch.tv I set my name as i_bet_the_jews_did_this so they perma-banned my IP. I can't even watch live streams while logged out. I bet the Jews did this.

This community is awful. A friend and I raided their base on DayZ and they responded by permanently banning us from their server. When we asked about it, they called us hackers, because only hackers raid your base of course. I joined their TF2 server. Everybody, even people who I didn't even know, started to insult me. I was banned from their TF2 server as well.

lrn2fly You're using the "b-but it's 2 hard!!!" argument when we're talking about a hardcore zombie survival game built on a war simulator. I only fly helicopters in first person unless I'm looking around. I always land without auto-hover unless I'm landing near trees. It's not that hard, you just have to decelerate slowly and aim the nose of the helicopter about 15 degrees upwards. You will slowly decrease your altitude and slow down. Plus, keep in mind that Arma 2 is extremely realistic so you can look around while still facing forward. Even better, you can use a special kind of camera so that when your heard turns right, your character looks right, and when your face looks left, your character looks left.

Remove third person mode and make it so you can change your FOV to something like 120 without messing up the sights of a gun.
