Ok so this blew up more than I thought it would. However, I'm not complaining the zeds are too hard. I can go 1 on 1 with fists, or 2 on 1 with a simple melee (Gardening Hoe) and win. However, after reading these posts, I wanted to prove my point and respawn in game one last time. I just respawned near a town and immediately went prone. I was crawling AWAY from the town and still got jumped by 3 zeds that "saw" me from in it. I get how they can see better over a flat area (who can't?), but if I'm crawling through a forest (literally crawling), I don't think the two zeds in the field a half a mile away should see me. What I'm complaining about is the actual mechanics of the zeds, not their toughness.

Ok, so I have never played the mod form of DayZ before this. I bought the standalone version and had tinkered around a bit. Mainly i died of mistakes like high falls and running into really crowded zombie places. However, mainly I was able to survive. After an update a few days ago, I realize now that I can't even survive anymore. Where there used to be only a little zombies, I'm getting jumped by double now, and they all seem to be marathon runners. I try to sneak, they still see me from half a mile away. I spawn and move just a bit down the road and end up dying, because I'll kill one, and stop to bandage and another spawns right next to me. It's enough for me and my friend (who was fully geared before the update and STILL had trouble), to completely give up and almost delete the game. Now is there something I'm doing wrong? Or is the game now geared towards making it completely impossible for new players to survive?
