Haha thanks bro ill check that tutorial out mate. and as for Dayz i happen to be quite experienced, you cant fight without any form of weapon unfortunately. theres a few melee weapons but mainly firearms. usually they spawn in firestations/red buildings and in the airfield barracks or deerstands/helicrashes. when we had our server running at Dayz.st we had our own admin tool scripted in which let us spawn things like guns/cars/helis but thats kinda cheating haha. we just had ours for fun, then it got popular and now we need it back up and running becausem our one at dayz.st has now been shutdown.

So did you manage to get you epoch server up in the end? we are having similar issues but we already have a Database copied from our old hosts. any assistance would be highley appreciated

Hi Guys, i am hoping one of you guys can help me here. we have recently had a server with Dayz.st as we are grwoing we decided to buy a dedicated box, now heres the issue. we planned to get the epoch seerver migrated over to the dedi. but its proving more difficult than first thought. now we are no experts on gameservers, i am quite techinical and can follow guides ect but the coding and sql side of it just throws me. we have our DB from the dayz.st control panel and have it stored on our new server. we have followed alot of guides for setting up an epoch server, that is fine but i have yet to find a guide for what we need to do, all these guides are starting a 'new' epoch server, we are trying to migrate an existing one. i have tried following the guides and just copying the DB in to what i think is the right place but it just doesnt work. we can get the server showing up in dayz commander shwoiung all correct info but it just gets stuck on wait for host. i honestly am running out of options, our server has now been shutdown at dayz.st so we have players waiting for the new details and we cant get it working. any advice/help would be highley appreciated. we have full access to our dedicated box so can use remote monitoring software if anyone wants to check out how its setup, it may just need a second pairs of eyes to notice something wrong. because we are definately missing soemthing. just cannot figure out what. And i know we should have thought and researched before diving into the deicated server world. this sure has burnt us on the ass, need someone to bail us out if possible.
