Like I said, I can't get out of where I am. Because I have to crawl I can't get off the stairs to get out the door going down. When I go up I can't start up the next set of stairs. Seriously, I would do this but I am really, really stuck. If I could get out I'd go make a splint and fix myself up anyway. I keep that habit and add a new one, decon the water you put in canteens with the water purification tablets you get in med kits, this way, when the time comes, it'll already be a habit and save you some grief..

Other than looting what the hell else is there to do? I prefer to evade rather than KoS, if I see you first I will keep my eye on you, let you go your way and then I will go other way. If I run into you in a meeting engagement and you attempt to engage me in any manner, conversation or bullets, I will attempt to evade (some people are way offended by that and have come to even consider evasion a type of combat logging because they were "denied" a chance at interacting/killing me because God knows, there is no way any one could evade their leet tracking skillz). If you follow me, it will end with one of us dead, preferably you. I might loot you or not, depending on what I already have. I have no real interest whatever in meeting or interacting with other players at this point in the development of DayZ. We may have jumped the gun a little here, a new animal AI is coming and if you have been in .53 you'll have gotten a serious taste of that. Notice that it is much harder to get near any animal and they run away from you when you are further away from them than before and they are much, much faster. I shot a pig and saw it run off, so I took a shot at a deer, same, same.. I guess I wounded the pig because about 100 meters away I found him dead in the road. I have not had any luck with fishing and have not gotten a rabbit at all, the one chicken and one of the goats I got was frozen in Msta..

Just keep in mind that the smoke from a camp fire is going to be relatively clean and harder to spot than that of the typical helicopter crash. Camp fires aren't going to be as smoky simply because they aren't burning all the same toxic crap that would be on fire in a helicopter crash. I agree that the light of a fire or a chem light or even the gas lamp needs to be much more obvious. I lit a gas lamp in the turret of a police station and could only see it from 150 or so meters away if I zoomed in on it, that light should have been visible for several kilometers on a clear night and it was. It would be nice to sit back and observe a town at night and see lights on in the houses. That might make my character a little less crazy and a little more comfortable in Chererus

Does this include suicides? I know that I lost power the two days ago while in game, that meant that my internet went out too since I have no back up on it. When it came back on I was about 500 meters from where I was when the power went out. Lucky for me there wasn't a cliff or anything like that so my character was still alive. Interesting that my character kept running when I had lost connectivity. Could very well have run off some stairs or into a zed or another player during that time... That could explain some of the deaths in the ocean, but certainly not all. Too bad it isn't color coded with a key to tell us cause of death... You know, player, zed, self induced (either by suicide or misadventure), starvation, hyper/hypo thermia...

How do you justify using any keys at all or even the mouse then? Do you use a steering wheel to drive the truck? Cheating.. LOL. too funny, now I think you're just trolling..

So you don't do anything in real life to give yourself an edge? Really? I think of the hot bar as knowing exactly where something is and having easy access to it. Makes it more immersive for me that way.
